Very touchy mixture of dance & industrial (or better: dance & nicely distorted guitars). I wonder why we rarely watch this kind of music/bands go mainstream, although they deserve it!
This is a new find for me, outside my usual genre. I'm hooked! I don't care what genre call it, they are on par with the great European acts that have outlived their time and are just living on their names (Nightwish, Within Temptation). I'll be buying their recordings soon; gotta throw some love to the people behind the scenes.
Saying I:Scintilla isn't industrial rock is like saying KMFDM stopped being industrial rock when Lucia joined. It's like saying that Industrial has been dead since the induction of the synthesizer. It's like saying any band with industrial styled instrumentals isn't industrial because of the lead's singing style. You're more than welcome to your opinion, but this is more industrial than half of the "industrial" acts touring today.
Gr4chu5: I realize this comment is 11 years old, my how time flies lol. but i happened to agree with you, I:Scintilla is every bit of the word industrial. considering you posted this 11 years ago, i wonder if people still think that now. but I've always viewed them as industrial, because there's no other genre you can put their music in. now their music is not as dark compared to other bands, hell Marilyn Manson isn't even the darkest in the genre. he's often credited as being the most influential, other than maybe Trent Reznor of NIN, but he's not the darkest, not even close. still most the average industrial band never makes it that far. I:Scintilla definitely has that early 2000's industrial sound, that may explain why some don't consider them, but they are. they never gain commercial success, but they released some decent records very few people outside of the genre even heard of. that's because there music always flew under the radar.
@@Jeymez I agree with you, let's be honest if you think of industrial in it's roots you need to consider only stuff like cabaret voltaire, throbbing gristle, etc, but seriously, I don´t like them too much... I'm glad that something called "post industrial" came and bands like this, nine inch nails and so on are the perfect representation of that. Funny story that Trent doesn't consider himself as industrial, who cares just give me that sound hahaha... And to just finish the comment I strongly recommend you guys to listen DAMIANA ERROR from Sexydeath, I've defined the genre of this band as (industrial-gothic-synth-rock) the way this band balances rock/metal with electronic music is probably the best industrial music I've ever listened!
@@Liander88 interesting, surprised i never heard of them. I'll have to look em up sometime, i know a little bit about gothic synth rock. i always thought of Sisters of Mercy, and the Cure to an extent as synth rock, but when you add industrial, it's kind of like it's own thing. i wasn't as familiar with the genre as other people, and even industrial itself, i didn't keep up with it like other people. so you probably wondering how i know about I.Scintilla, honestly i didn't know much about the band. i do now, but when i first heard of them was back in 2011. i was fairly new to UA-cam at the time, but i listen to all kinds of music. so you're bound to across different things, and I've always been the open minded type when it comes to music. from time to time I'll forget about the band, but you know how it is when you get in a certain mood. so once in awhile I'll type industrial or sometimes goth synth rock, that's how i found out about a few other groups. but yeah i agree with you, music is music, if it's good who am i to criticize lol.
Never heard of this artist but somehow this song was added to one of my Spotify custom lists. Love this song. What a beautiful mistake? Thanks Spotify XD
Freakin' AWESOME. So glad Pandora dropped I:Scintilla on me.. and as someone mentioned similarly, I found them because of Birthday Massacre - (ABSOLUTELY my favorite find of 2010). Seconded/Thirded/Fourthed (fake words..) She's gorgeous. I'd make HER breakfast!
interesting, this is the kind of sound I´m looking for in metal and in electro, this girl has a really good voice, thhis song is really good (and by the way she´s hot), whre can i get more info about this band???
So glad I:Scintiila and Haujobb were both still around, two years ago.....it must be so difficult for such bands to make any money, which is necessary in order to survive....
@Dracoa79 Especially when you're watching the video in expanded mode or fullscreen you will get much better compression on 720P. The 720P compression looks significantly better in all the fades and the details because it is twice the resolution and isn't so harshly re-encoded by youtube. On 360P you'll get more artifacting and pixelization in areas like the smoke and edge detail.
I’m trying to contact James from I:Scintilla. It appears a band named 32Crash is claiming the rights to “Toy Soldier” that I used in my video, with James Permission. A company called IODA is making this claim and it is the exact same song, but a different band credited. If anyone has contact with them, let James know. Have him contact me through my channel.
Easily the best they've put out so far...I lived in Illinois and they are the pride of the state! :) At least to me. However the skull at the end startled me the first time I saw the vid lol
I don’t have a problem with the ad’s, I just want to make sure I:Scintilla gets the residuals and not 32 Crash. Besides, Jim has contacted me and said he will look into it. It appears this company IODA has messed things up before.
There is a band called 32 Crash and they are on the same label (Alpha-matrix). IODA is a company that is taking care for artist's rights. Maybe they mixed the two bands. However, in my opinion, even if James gave you permission to use the music, the rights are still to be paid.
The voice, the eyes, the body. Is there anything about Brittany Bindrim that isn't absolutely gorgeous? Wait... Don't answer... If there is, I don't want to know.

No, it's Industrial. Sure its not Industrial in the way NIN or Depeche Mode are-but this is Gothic Industrial. I love it's roots too, but this is how Evolution works. Vorsprung durch Technik

Because they weren’t on American Idol or some mainstream bullshit and she’s not a Nepo baby. Its sad that acts like this don’t get more air time
Super!!! about 3 years rington "Cursive Eve" and now I have think about else songs of I:Scintilla ))

@TB4000 You win for best comment!

I imagine Dante and Kat dancing to this on the head of a giant demon's corpse
True Dante wouldn't dance to this.
Good song! :-)

Metal + electro = awesome BUT this does not cut the cake ...

Why only 52.000 views?
Ok. Since my band is on the same label it's good to know.
@TB4000 What was her plan anyway.
sweet ;)
Some awkward lyrical turns at the beginning, but the chorus makes up for it. Catchy stuff.
Make sure to watch in HD everyone! 720P looks wayyyyy better!
NIN would be proud.
