Dude was definitely wise and had enough time in life to get to know himself. 2004 was such an over-the-top year in hiphop and there wasn't much substantive things going on, kinda cartoonish era, so it's refreshing to see such a deep interview from that era.

Everything he did was just him being him and that’s what people wanted and adored ;the larger than life genuine character smoothly and naturally doing life getting hoes rapping , talking, gaming, cracking jokes, or whatever he was doing it wasn’t nothing in his mind ;everything run of the mill no big deal. His realness brings you on a journey with him whether you know the streets or you’re a suburban prep or anything between. Who he was moves people not what he said but how he said it not what he did but how he did others not only in relating or feeling whatever he may be saying he gives you a feeling like you’ve known him and been close since y’all were kids. A woman could listen to his words and he could be saying put hands on her and put her in check and that woman listening wouldn’t get disgusted nor offended but she would end up agreeing and wanting more. Man people were telling me when I had my locks how much I looked and reminded them of Mac Dre. I always wanted to be original and had my own style. And I didn’t realize how much of a compliment that was. We were so similar and I am honored as all can be to have reminded people of such a legend. I learned about him when he passed. I thought he was just some gangsta rapper person. Had no clue he was a square bear Bay Area product of his environment. One of the most saddest things seeing a lack of originality in today’s world especially in the bay with the new identity it has. He was so ahead of his time and such a trend setter, he is the poster child for authentic original organic creative style and freedom of expression.
