Thanks so much for the demos on each one of your options chosen for lure presentation. Many of us still learning the back country style of fishing and this is a tremendous help. Keep up the good work CA.
Hello Capt. C.A. Question...have you ever produced a video explaining the importance of water salinity? I'm trying to better understand how it comes into play with locating fish as we go through the season's...if at all. There's a lot written on the internet but most doesn't help with locating fish or tell what the readings are and should be in a given area. My weekend fishing is mostly done around the Suwannee area...not to far from you. Any pointers or advice would be appreciated. I also sent you a message a while back as to how you prepare your boat and self for those not so perfect (weather) days on the water (hot, cold, rain and the occasional minor injury) maybe you could do a video someday. Thanks for anything you could supply on the salinity question.
Mashing the barbs is good but for years I have cut one tine off of every treble hook so that there are only two and I completely remove the middle/belly treble hook if there are three on the lure. I have greatly reduced the number of mangled fish that get released, fewer fish that are eye hooked, less tears in the head, lips, and body, and also safer for me. It hasn't reduced my hookup rate as far as I can tell and even if it has, since I'm not subsistence fishing to feed my family, it doesn't really matter.
FL ramp fees are steep!
Cedar key is even more expensive😩
