OMG!!! You always bring us the most unique creations! As an artist I adore mixed media and all types of layering. You're correct, that is what gives your pieces an authentic aged look. I get so much inspiration watching you create. Your videos help me get my creative juices flowing. I appreciate you sharing your time and talents. Always looking forward to see what you create for us in your next video. Until then take care and keep creating 😊

Everything is pretty, but I'm not really into dark decorations for Christmas. I know it is trending and all, but it just isn't me. I think you did an excellent job and they did turn out looking the way they are suppose to. You have such a wonderful eye and talent for doing this kind of DIYs. I won't be doing any of these, but it was fun to watch how you do it. You explain everything so well and you make it look so easy to get this look. I love your videos.

Thank you, I completely understand. I love Red and Green for Christmas with some dark ornaments. I need to do a video of how I incorporate dark undertones with the Red and Green. I do not do completely dark and moody for anything. I always incorporate it as an undertone. Thank you for your wonderful comment and the feedback!!!

I love projects with a lot of layers or steps. That's how I create. My motto is the more you put into it the more you will get of it. Lots of steps or layers creates depth, interest and the most beautiful, high end looking decor in my opinion. I feel like layers are extremely important when you are trying to reproduce the look of natural age and patina. Naturally aged items took years to look that way. The least we can do is put time into any item we are trying to give the same look. There is a big and obvious difference between painting something and distressing it with sand paper or paint and a project that has layers and depth creating a more authentically aged looking piece. I still watch some creators who only sand or paint the edges for inspiration but that just isn't how I create. For others who may not like all of the steps, UA-cam allows us to fast forward for that reason. I most definitely use fast forward or even mute when its necessary for me to stay engaged or follow along. We all create differently. We all have different tastes and preferences as we are supposed to. Thats what art is. I for one, will necer comp, ain about the steps. I enjoy watching all you do to achieve the look you are going for. It takes time to bring the things in our heads to fruition. The items you created today were STUNNING. I especially loved the last 2. Thank you for sharing.

These really work for a more woodsy/candlelit “romantic” Holiday look, or for a more masculine flavor of decor. Overall the palette leans a bit more muted for my holiday decor, but if I was changing it up, I’d love these with delicate led strings of lights, fir boughs, and birch.
Really, really cool inspiration. Going to think about this ✨💖✨

These are all fantastic. I was a little skeptical about the deer patterned ones but they did turn out pretty recognizable as well as cute. Seeing you use the waxes and alcohol inks these ways makes me really want to try some of them myself - I've never worked with either. Thanks for the mess warning! I am also very messy when I'm transforming things, and I can tell when I get into the inks in particular I should just understand that whatever I'm working in and on are probably going to be permanently marked. I would love to see more dark & moody Christmas decor - I tried to make some cardboard gingerbread houses, but wound up calling them 'burnt gingerbread' because I used darker colors. Thank you for posting these!

Wonder if it would've been easier if u had put a few drops of the liquid ink in a sandwich bag & then kinda shook the ornament around in there. Thinking that would've given u more of the look u were going for. ?? Just a thought

Yes, add DIY black or dark wax and they will go Matte or if you don't want to change the color but just make them flat; buy Rustoleum Chalked Matte Clear coat to brush on or a Matte Clear coat of any kind in a spray can. It will make them flat immediately once it dries. Hope this helps.
