Just a few months ago someone collapsed at his church from low blood sugar and Bishop and the congregation prayed so for that man that he jumped up and walked out on his own. He is a true man of God who really cares for the people...Glad all is well!

The UPDATE from tonight's service by both Presiding Bishop Charles Blake and General Board Member Bishop Brandon Porter is that Bishop J. Drew Sheard is doing good thanks be to God. He did collapse after preaching due to dehydration. The doctors in the hospital said that all of his vitals were very good and that he was very dehydrated. He did not attend the evening service, but was resting under the doctors orders.

Kimberly E Davis I don't know that fasting is the reason or the only reason behind the dehydration. I heard bishop mason used to fast months at a time. Also, my father is a pastor who fasts constantly especially on Sundays before he preaches (and advises the church to do the same according to the scripture and what bishop mason gave the church) and he hasn't fainted after messages and altar calls that turned into hour(s) long tarrying services. besides, they usually give them water to drink while they are preaching.....I think the devil is really working to disrupt the convocation....if I may give my opinion

He did collapse after preaching due to dehydration. The doctors in the hospital said that all of his vitals were very good and that he was very dehydrated. He did not attend the evening service, but was resting under the doctors orders.

Do to much, you can't fasting and then preach you have to get foods and water and vitamins in your body! They could have gave him Powerade!
I think sister Kimberly said that because Bishop Porter said the Bishops are fasting and praying, I don't think she meant any harm by her comment. But yes we are all praying God heals his body.
Kimberly E Davis I don't know that fasting is the reason or the only reason behind the dehydration. I heard bishop mason used to fast months at a time. Also, my father is a pastor who fasts constantly especially on Sundays before he preaches (and advises the church to do the same according to the scripture and what bishop mason gave the church) and he hasn't fainted after messages and altar calls that turned into hour(s) long tarrying services. besides, they usually give them water to drink while they are preaching.....I think the devil is really working to disrupt the convocation....if I may give my opinion
Eric Fagge'Tt I can definitely agree with you on that one. one thing about fasting is it's for the spiritual body but us as people we definitely have to be aware of our physical health. be in good health before putting a toll on your body

You make a great point, and I thought about taking it down earlier, but I do want people to hear his message and also to see that Preachers can be vulnerable and are human beings just like the rest of us. I will leave the video up for now but if he or his family want me to take it down I will take it down in a heartbeat. But I do see your point because I was torn by showing this video. But I'm happy Bishop J. Drew Sheard is doing okay and feeling better.

I don't think Porter was in a rage he was just telling the Saints to pray, plus he was probably stress because Bishop Sheard is his friend.

I think at least maybe the title could be re-considered because he is fine now and fully back to form. I think "Pray for Bishop J. Drew Sheard" makes it more urgent and sensational than it is at this point. The family is already combating rumors that it was a stroke or heart attack. Of course, it's all your call & up to your discretion. :)
Was there an altar/alter call or did he go directly into a $10.00 offering call. Souls are being lost because of the offering plate taking priority!! Shame on you preachers!! Even so, I pray that the Bishop is ok.
Jesus-is-mine So sad......SMH. Mammon taking priority over alter call. Actually there was no alter call at all that night but they made sure to get the money. This happened at both services where the Bishops almost fainted. They made sure to get the money. So sad.

Bishop Sheard had been fasting and was dehydrated. The lighting also was very hot that they were preaching under. But it was reported by the Presiding Bishop and General Board Member that he is doing much better and is resting.
Oh that is great news. I love the way the congregation got one and started to pray and rebuke the enemy up off the situation.
Amen. I did too. It's amazing how it really is in us to help one another in times of crisis. This is why the enemy works so hard to keep us divided because he knows what will happen when we come together. But i think everyone is glad that he is doing good.
