We ALMOST didn't manage to make this video, it became pretty difficult from the beginning that getting us both a massage - just a head massage - wasn't going to be possible. But we defied the odds and found a really cool barber/massage shop on the side streets of Dhaka, 500 taka ($5) for at least a 30 minute massage is definitely worth it, we came back to life LOL

You should to take advantage from your's hotel massage center, but you took it from a shop, he is not experienced in it, not the right place. He took too much money from you. *You should have went to Barbar shop in Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Dhanmondi or Panth Path. But not here. This Barbar shop was not good where did you take massage.*
As a Bangladeshi myself, my suggestion would b for u guys to get a travel guide or something, majority peeps in BD don't really speak English, n it'll be much harder for u guys to communicate when travelling outside Dhaka. Trust me mate, it'd be worth ur money hiring one.

I like your answer. Actually our new generation is pretty good in English. So many private and public universities in Bangladesh now a days. That means so many graduates and post graduates around you. Even school and college going students can speak in moderate English.@@dabbleandtravel

They were gentle and gave a good service but I'm upset about they asked too much money for massage. It's usually 1$-1.5$ highest for locals. But they charged 5$ to these foreigners.
500 taka for two person is decent price, here in mirpur it's 200 taka per person for massage, they probably thought 500 taka per person

Please ask someone for any help in english who looks tidy or any police person while you are on the road.Why am I telling this??The tidy looking people knows english.
If you ask for any help in english to ordinary people like rickshaw puller,worker,hotel boy,road side shopkepper,you won't get any help or any answer.This will be very emberrassing situation for both of you.
I am not dividing the people's grade by commenting this.
I am just telling you,from whom you get proper help when it is needed.

You can use the word 'Saloon' or 'Salon' instead of barbar shop when you are in Bangladesh my dear. People are more familiar with the word saloon. If you just say 'Where is the saloon?' then they can easily understand your English and give you the directions about the exact location. Thanks

In our country, salon for Men and Women are different and seperate.
You can find ultra posh salon in areas like Dhanmondi,Gulshan,Baridhara, Banani.
Also please appoint some tour guide for convenient experience

Sadmanrakin. I worked and lived in Bombay for 20 years. The roads were dirty. There was crap all over the place. People urinate on the roads and spit on the roads. To make that country good. People got to learn how to behave. I am sorry we had to tell an Indian guy to vacate from the lunch room, because he was burping a lot. In the country I live. It is very clean and the people are well behaved.

If you ask them that Where is "Sallon" then they may be let you know about this...
