Late to the comment party, but as someone who picked up the free version 3 weeks ago and bought the game 2 weeks ago, i must say, it is harder now than it was before. This was confirmed by my friend who played the game since launch. He was over at my house for a drink and when i randomly mentioned how hard the final boss is in the 2nd map (cnat remeber the name for the life of me). He was supprised and had to have a go, he then confirmed that the game and its R&G got a lot harder for begginers, since as a "veteran" you alredy have enouf extracted itmes to create a good starting build, while as a begginer you have no such luxury, and grinding for items has become a lot harder. Still a greate game, can honestly say i enjoj the grind.
The update seems to favor ranged over melee, and damage over defense. Shield maiden is terrible now, she has to keep her distance from most enemies making her mace attack useless. My most recent run got 2.7K dps on agony 2 while phantom needles got over 20K.
If you wanna start easy, use a long range attack character for the ice stage. I've been playing this for a month on the beta. It's hard to get close to the dragon and the giant spider with short range weapons and abilities like the revolving balls or radiant aura. My best build has been archer with phantom needles (upgraded for range and speed), Arcane splinters for speed and range and then transfixsion or whatever. Make sure you save your double-up potions for either multihit and levels IX and X.
First time I got to the lord on the Frozen Depths I did a tanky build with the Shieldmaiden. Died to the lord nonetheless. I went back in with the Archer and destroyed him when building for range and piercing. Definitely helps on that stage. Great tips!
Man please make a video of when and what to choose, like when you can access level 3 spells and their upgrades and stuff... Also why does certain traits only come up after you get like a few other traits?
I'm not quite sure what you're asking in the first part. Do you want a guide for the quests you need to unlock the ability upgrades? You can find those in the quest stone. When it comes to traits you for instance won't see traits of certain types unless you have an ability or weapon that can make use of that trait. Electricity traits won't show up unless you get an ability that deals electricity damage.
@@PusenGaming Not really. I don't know when can I upgrade the spells and by what logic. I guess after the spell gets to level 3 I get to choose an upgrade or something when finding a new spell reward. But sometimes I cannot choose an upgrade just a new spell which is useless at that point. Sometimes I get two upgrades, sometimes zero. And sometimes there is an upgrade after level 6, sometimes no upgrades after level 6? This is not well documented and I still have no idea how to level a spell properly.
@@TISZALAEGERSZEG Ability upgrades appear in the scrolls when you get the abilities to level 3 and 6. They're guaranteed to appear on your next scroll. Given that you have the upgrades unlocked through their respective quests of course. Each ability has 2-3 upgrades but they're adding more.
The Beasthuntress seems pretty garbage in my opinion. The attack speed is too low and the dog barely does any damage (it hits hard but it usually does nothing).
Yup, beast huntress is probably one of the worst classes. Might very well be the worst. Way too slow attack speed and apparently the dog is afraid of the enemies and hides between your legs most of the time.
I am loving this game and am looking forward to all the changes and additions on the way.

They literally added a melee Hero....

great video, subscribed. Very informative and straight to the point.
Cheers! I try to not waste even a second in my videos. Hope they’re not to fast paced.
I had no idea that potions no longer take a well charge. I'm so glad I watched this video. Great vid thanks man.
Just found out there was an update only 4 days ago and have stopped playing BG3…..loving this update.
Need to check that out!
I dont know yet how to get Agony III on the Frozen Depths achievement with Norseman. Seems kinda impossible or maybe with the archer it works 🤔
About the herbs, it took me ages to get all herbs cause I didn't realize some herbs don't drop if agony is enabled.
Yes, the herbs are fixed on each map so you need to do each map on normal and agony to collect all herbs.

@@PusenGaming No upgrade at level 10?
Next one should be an infinite dungeon rooms

Spear is pretty good beacuse oneshoy everythin on the way just make IT on crit. Dog is probably good with Mark of warlock and build on summons
I haven't experimented much with her yet. Hope I can get some good builds going.
Thanks for the break down, can you make video with arcane rift and Norseman?
I’ll see what I can do!
good vid
Cheers!
beast huntress is such useless class.
Norseman, on other hand, is just pure beast.
I quite like her but she definitely doesn't feel like the best.

audio is echoey and not very clear fya but thanks for the video
