Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia, The Spectrum in Philadelphia

- I miraculously got picked to play guitar for Jesus of Suburbia, and here's a clip that one of my friends at the show graciously recorded while I was onstage. To answer some questions up front:
1. Billie asks me going into "Dearly Beloved" if I can sing, and I say to him that my mind is racing (which it was, trust me), at which point he mouthed the first words of the verse to me to keep things rolling. He does the same thing for the next verse.
2. Right before "I Don't Care, Billie runs up and points to the guitar, because I'm not playing the chord progression as it should be played. I was harmonizing with Jason White by sliding up octaves, but that wasn't how it was originally recorded.
3. I woke up the next morning and my left knee was killing me. I have no idea how I hurt it, but it's jazz, baby.

The pure joy on his face, Billie’s reaction to the playing, the unemployed line, and best of all the random guys face taking up the whole screen at the end. I love all of it man 🤘 hell yeah

congratulations, you were great and your joy and general WTF happiness about being up there was absolutely infectious -- I was utterly happy for you the whole time. Another great point in a totally great show.
This is my all time FAVORITE Green Day song, maybe all time favorite period, well this and Boulevard. I was there. July 21, awesome, amazing show. First time seeing Green Day live and it was amazing. I have tickets to the 2 NJ shows this August.

Dude, if you replaced Billie Joe for some weird reason, I don't think too many people would be disappointed. (At least I wouldn't IMO) You've got the energy, enthusiasm, and you can play pretty damn well. Nice job, man.

I loved the stage atmosphere for the 21st Century Breakdown tour. It just felt so magical, the NYC background with all the buildings lit up at night just looked so amazing.

this show was AWESOME! i miss the spectrum but this was honestly one of the best shows i've ever seen there. This moment was really cool to see, the guy was super humble after and acted like it was no big deal haha
