That’s actually the old hospital in Ambrose with the pile of wood. There was someone living in there about ten years ago when I was there. The school was destroyed in the 1950’s which is sad because it was a very nice looking building. There isn’t a lot of vandalism in North Dakota but some unsavory characters came in with the oil boom. The brown house with the 1980s Buick was in pretty good condition twelve years ago. I remember the school that was full of birds. Good to see all that stuff is still standing! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Oh, good to know. It was told to me it was a school. But a hospital makes complete sense. So glad you could recognize some of the photos and videos. Thanks for the background info.

Loving this Ken. Thanks for another wonderful (and funny) video. Your explanations of what this hobby is (and is not) are spot on and respectful. AND-- with the exception of one big butt featured in the ending photo montage, a great collection of pics.

Great adventure! I love following along and exploring these places, it’s like being there but not, and the narration is so much fun. The best part is taking pictures in my head as we go along, and creating compositions, I even use the shutter sound effect in my head while doing it, or I say click, Yup, I’m that weird. Well captured, thanks for sharing! Lol.

Thank you so much for the kind words and detailed explanation of your thought process. I gravitate toward doing the same exact thing. I was looking for a frame. Thanks so much. I hope our paths will cross.

Some people here in New England take pictures of sap houses on different states of use each month and make a calendar.
That would be a great thing to do with your pictures of abondoned properties.

I can appreciate that. sometimes I like to keep the locations hidden to protect the property from vandal's but some I can mention.

its fading fast. Id give it about 5 or ten more years........one good snow load might flatten it... its a shame.
