Love your enthusiasm for tea. I am a Barry’s girl myself. I have great memories of my Irish Nana having her tea. Here in early Spring in New Jersey it is cold and windy. So I had a cup of Barry’s Gold while watching your tea making. Thank you for this video! I myself get excited and pour too fast.
Big hello from Ireland great to hear from you. Great you enjoyed our video. We have just been through a long wet winter. Roll on the summer weather please God 🙌
Super stuff Michael glad you enjoyed it. Just having a brew here now going through the comments. The rain has cleared for now. A cool hazy sunny morning with a heavy dew on the grass👌 have a good one
When I was a kid growing up in the seventies, I used to play with the big ply tea chests that the loose tea used to come in from the general merchants. When I open the big box of Lyons teabags from the wholesalers now, the beautiful smell transports me back to that time in a rural Irish town. Hard to believe all the changes our generation have witnessed over that timespan! Our kids can't conceive of a time where smartphones didn't exist, let alone a time when your tv was a black and white rental with two channels!!
My girlfriend’s grandmother is near 80 and grew up in an uninsulated farm house with no running water or electricity. They were too poor to own and maintain horses, and her father worked oxen out of their horned Devon herd. Now she drives a leased corolla that’s near brand new and she has all the gadgets plus high speed internet. It really blows my mind. I hope we haven’t advanced similarly by the time I’m her age, ‘cause I don’t know if I’d adapt as gracefully as she has. I know there was no high end local market for food back in the day like we tap into now, so farming was harder, but I think the rural communities I’ve heard about from the old timers sounded a lot more fun and vibrant than we have now. There were more neighbors, and dances in the village center every week.
I like milky tea but jays Sean that is the milkiest tea I've ever seen haha. This video reminded me of Michael O'Muircheartaigh making the famous ham sandwich. Good stuff.
Good one Sean we often hear about u heading off for they cup off tea,ur an all round man and we seen u making ur perfect cup off tea, there's eating & drinking in that tea,ur a gas man

My great grandmother was from Cork. We used to sit and have tea in the kitchen when it was just me and her in the house. I didnt know it then but it was our special time together. She passed and i grew up drinking coffee like all Americans. I think my mum got Barrys when my baby sister got old enough to ask about where she came from and we had some together when i went by the house for a visit. I have a cup every day and i think about of my Nana Caples, one of the brightest parts of my day
Hi Gary lovely story thank you for sharing.. Coffee started to take over here during the "celtic tiger" years aka boom time. Where instant coffee was the standard before hand. Freshly ground coffee shops opened up at ever corner. But even at that push the tea still holds its own and is the answer to every occasion all the time.. Wishing you and yours a WONDERFUL Christmas and prosperous and happy new year 🙌
That was a science lesson my good brother. I live in Ohio USA. My fine neighbor across the road introduced us to Barry’s. Oh it’s absolutely glorious. I have my sister loving it too. Lovely video. God bless you n all your loved ones ………. Tony
Good man Tony. Big hello from Ireland. Oh we love our Barry's tea😁 delighted you are enjoying it. And thank you for stopping by. God bless you and yours 🙏
Here in the states we now have "grassmilk" by Organic Valley dairies. They are doing some rotational, but I don't think its quite regenerative. Its still quite a bit better than the "regular milk" that comes from grain fed & non-regenerative dairies.
Well Lee, that is great to gear. I think organic farming can only ever end up regenerative as there's only so much the land can give up before it's exhausted. We we think deeper 100'/. Of farming was organic, it was those practices that lead to the depletion and need for chemical intervention. But I think we a starting to wake up I believe so any move away from chemicals has to be considered a very positive move. Happy thanks given lee👍
Enjoyed the vid, and nearly felt a bit spooky as it was spot on a year to the day, to the half hour you made the vid....but then I realised that's tomorra
