the closing chapter (09/24/21)

A year ago today the most precious boy went to be with Jesus.
It feels like 5 years have gone by in just this one year. I remember almost every morning we would go around the trail before our ride. It was both our favourite part of the day..being in the stillness of the morning. You’ve always been Gods horse, He gave me you, which truly was a privilege - a gift. You truly were and will always be the most special horse I’ll ever meet. Even with all the talent you had, you were so humble, gentle, patient, understanding, and always my companion. We went through a lot together and it’s taken me a whole year to actually start processes your passing. I can’t express with words how much I miss petting your face and looking into your gentle eyes, going on the most peaceful trail rides while lottie runs and hunts gophers..well at least tries too. I know with confidence I will see you again. Hero, I love you and miss you so extremely much but I know with a never failing hope that you’re in the most beautiful place you could ever be, waiting for me to come ride you again hehe. I can’t thank Jesus enough…even through loosing Hero, Jesus is worthy of every praise. He is so kind and generous to us and knows exactly what He is doing.
I can’t wait to look into your gentle eyes again and touch your precious face.
