SAI KUNG ROCK POOLS | SHEUNG LUK STREAM HIKE HONG KONG (How to get there, views, highlights)

- Sheung Luk Stream also known as Sai Kung Rock Pools is located just beyond the beach side village of Sai Wan, it is very close to Sai Wan Campsite(also a beach), about 10 minute walk.
It's an easy one hour hike or more including breaks from Sai Wan Pavilion.
You'll pass through small pools before reaching a very deep river pool. Some people do cliff jumping into the deep rock pool and other just soak and picnic on the surrounding rocks.
The waterfall runs dry when we visited there lately, maybe the perfect timing to see the waterfalls is after days of consistent rain. We stop and rest there for more than an hour and we retraced our path to go back to Hong Kong side.

Thank you for visiting and watching my video, I'm glad my video can help:-), alternatively, some people take speedboat to go to Sai Wan beach(15 minute walk) to Sheung Luk Stream but it's 150 per head one way:-), also can get taxi from Sai Kung or from Pak Tam Chung to Sai Wan Pavillion but you have to pay more. I prefer hiking though, mas tipid and I get my excercise hehe, stay safe always

@@OFFROAD_HUNTER yes there were at least 5 big waterfalls up.
Yes po, this is what I thought, coz when I hiked there for this video, I saw several people coming up and they continue going up following the stream, I was thinking there might be a nicer waterfalls and views up there, but that time my plan is to just visit the pool where they do the cliff jumping and go back, I'm thinking also to do the stream trekking there next time.
@@OFFROAD_HUNTER just be carefull
When you go up there. A bit dangerous and make sure you have proper stream hiking shoes.
Yes po true, I'm not sure about the way aswell coz I've never been, but I saw those group of people went up there that time, they have waterproof training shoes and complete gear for stream trekking!, I was like......thinking I have to get those proper shoes before going for a stream trek
