- Millions of Americans have been laid off or had hours cut due to COVID-19. Thankfully, many states such as Illinois have expanded unemployment benefits, but the process can often be difficult or confusing. This video will show you how to apply for unemployment in Illinois step by step.
Moderately helpful but still have many questions. I didn’t have a space to add the Gross income.
I have people saying they are getting the extra $600 a week automatically, but it hasn't been automatic for me. I'm just getting the regular unemployment benefits. What am I doing wrong.
I was on unemployment during the 3 1/2 months. Then return to work July 1 and now August 20th they have cut hours temporarily so I have lost nine hours every week so my question is on the page that you’re referring to where it says how many weeks have you made more than $257 do I divide that by my gross income because I get paid every two weeks. End it also says how many days have you worked for this employer from the most recent start date does that mean the day I started working for the company or does that mean the day I came back to work from the Covid shut down? If it means from the Covid shut down then that would be July 1 would be my most recent start date this is where I am confused that I’ve been working for the company for nine years total
what happens if I been certifying with no problem but, 10/6, in my last certification summary it did not show me the date for my next certification date? and I only have 20 weeks on UI? should I be concern?

Got a question my friend basically says every time he tries filing it says verify identity by calling a certain number but it’s always an automated system that picks up. Anything would be good trying to help a brother out🙏🏾
We’re having problems, we keep filling out the first registration paper but it says we have to fill everything out, but we have already done that, we haven’t been able to get past it for a while now and we dint know what to do

The weekly certification isn’t working for me. I got approved and didn’t receive any money. I switched from the card to direct deposit right away and nothing. When I go to certify on my Tuesday via the website ides.illinois.gov/certify just like it said in the letter. I click certify for unemployment and then log inI get a message that reads, “ unable to certify at this time” and then gives me the phone number to call
can you please help me, on the employment page, there is no “ please enter gross wages...” so I cannot enter the wages and the last page it shows 0.00, I have my young children, because covid-19, we cannot go school and work..T.T

Same here as well, I am not abe to put down wages so I turned in the application anyways, My Mom and Dad and Mine all got rejected because of the stupid glitch in the system. I tried calling everyday in every possible combination that is possible for ides phone number. For 4 weeks straight sending notes to two ides center still no responses. I dont understand why cant they just have just one person for live technical support I dont mind being on hold for 12 hours as I am unemployed now, better than wasting 4 weeks.

When I click ’file my unemployment claim’ menu, it goes back to login page. I don’t know what the problem is...
Try a different browser.

I clicked i didnt want to claim any dependents but as i go through the dependent page pops up and prompts me to include dependant info even though i clicked no...it says to go back and click no, which i did at first, but it wont let me get past filling in info...HELP

HEY HEY! Had a friend help me out with this! Use Internet Explorer browser and it should work! My friend said sometimes Google Chrome and FireFox can be weird on some websites and make things not work or have errors. Hope this helps!

The class action is utilizing the same system ides uses to file claims to register people for class action.
I keep calling and it's telling me that I did not do my 30-day pin before it.

U have to set pin with teleserve .Only way to set pin now ,is by callin u I number

Beginning Monday 11th independent contractors and self-employed individuals will be able to fill out for unemployment.

Ok so I can't get registered online to certify. And the offices are closed! Spent also 40 min with a very nice CR who wasn't able to help. Supervisor was scheduled to call haven't heard from them....meanwhile smh

I tried MULTIPLE times to register my husband online for unemployment and after typing the information in, it says that our request cannot be processed at this time! We called and they called us back saying to fax certain documents which we did and still getting the same results online! I feel so helpless! The system is absolutely terrible!

I answered 99 because that's the max amount it allows you to put in. The OP has it the same way

So I’m from out of state and wasn’t sure which state to file (it’s obvious now 🙃) so I filed here in IL and I got a call back with a message saying I needed to file in the other state. I never called back. Filed in the other state. Bitch ass employer denied my claim. Greedy bastards. But Illinois still sent me a debit card. I don’t know what that means...I figure I should call and find out. But I’m in the middle of a google break down trying to find answers 🙂 help.
