    Quais as medidas desses filtros de ar você colocou amigo? Porque tem um maior e outro menor?

      The large air pod is the air filter and the small one is the crank case breather.

    hey! this is like the standard of an xv250 bobber conversion, I love it.. everything looks so clean. Can you tell me more about your seat? I'm finding it so hard to find an appropriate kit. Also where did you get the shocks from? the stance is perfect. Thanks!

    • @myvfr4263
      @myvfr4263  6 років тому +3

      Thanks, the bobber seat is just a generic seat kit that I bought from ebay exactly like this:
      www.ebay.com/itm/Solo-Seat-Spring-Bracket-Mount-Kit-For-Harley-Honda-Sportster-Bobber-Chopper/161480591064?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
      I didn't use most of the included hardware that came with the kit but made my front and back seat brackets out of a flat 1" metal bar. You can buy this from any local hardware stores. I bought mine from Home Depot.
      www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-in-x-36-in-Plain-Steel-Flat-Bar-with-1-4-in-Thick-801857/204225720
      As for the shocks, I bought an OEM replacement Honda Rebel shock set from ebay similar to this:
      www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Rear-Spring-Shock-Absorbers-Suspension-For-Honda-Rebel-CMX250-CA250-1986-2014/263754446807?fits=Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3ARebel+250&hash=item3d68fd77d7%3Ag%3AOIUAAOSweYtbIG~a&_sacat=0&_nkw=Honda+Rebel+shocks&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.XHonda+Rebel+shocks.TRS1
      You can take out the fittings on the virago shocks and reuse them with this shocks and it should fit the bike perfectly. The Rebel shocks should lower your bike around 1' , maybe 1.5", I don't remember exactly. I painted mine black with engine paint because I could not find them in black. The paint seems to still hold up well.

      Thanks. I could do a video on all the parts I used and where I got them if I there are enough interests. Maybe some ride videos. I haven't made any additional modification to this bike since I'm happy with it for now. I'm still planning on swapping out the stock headlamp for an LED "Daymaker" type when I find a nice reliable one. I also subscribed to your channel to see the progress on your xv250 project.

    • @myvfr4263
      @myvfr4263  6 років тому +1

      Thanks. I the seat kit is bought from eBay for around $50. It came with the mounting brackets, but did not look good when installed so I ended up making my own. As for the fender, I chopped a trailer fender bought from amazon. I just made sure that it's made out of metal and that both side is symmetrical because some are flat on one side and round on the other.

      myvfr very cool bike man! I have an 03 I want to do this to. Did you have to do anything to electrical to use led lights?

    • @myvfr4263
      @myvfr4263  6 років тому +1

      I didn't do anything special with the electrical wiring. Some people might get annoyed with the LEDs signal lights flashing too fast. You can eliminate that problem by running an inline load resistor. Good luck with your build. Don't hesitate to ask if you have anymore questions.

  • @zachryistre9895

    Where’d you find that air filter? All the filters I can find seem to be drop-in filters for the housing. Would love a stand-alone exterior filter like that (also have a 1996 Virago 250)

    • @myvfr4263
      @myvfr4263  6 років тому

      The air filters used is an Emgo Universal 48mm air filter and a generic breather filter. If you want to run a setup similar to mine you have to do the following:
      Perform a left and right air pod delete. This is a very easy mod and it's not permanent. Just google "Virago 250 pod removal". There should be a good amount of written text and video info on this topic.
      Here is a good one:
