    I only came across TT during Covid and fell in love with the show. It was weird watching people age so quickly, since I watched all the episodes in order once I got hooked.

    I like seeing them young, makes me feel like a teenager when I would watch with my mother setting in her living room. I miss the 90's with my mum and the old team. if we could go back in time and weren't fated to always be moving forward constenly uncontrolled.

    Every time I see London, I can't help but think what a wonderful, historic, beautiful place it is !!! If I were to ever relocate to England, I would definitely want to live in and or around London.

    Kind of fun to see an almost 30 year-old Time Team episode from 1995 47:48, I'm surprised it was written "1995" rather than the Roman numerals that were so common before the year MM.

    I'm totally jealous you Brits had this show growing up. Jealous you have such an amazing history. It's so awesome to see the public so interested in their ancestors and the past! Here in the US people couldn't care less about our archeology. It doesn’t help that so much of it has been bulldozed and covered up, meaning hidden from us...stolen by the Smithsonian.

    No, no, no... The roman ways did not have that top layer of stone. that can only be seen on urban streets, like the beginning of Vía Appia, for example. Anyone can imagine what horses would suffer when galloping on a stone surface, and what was most interesting to the Empire was that the roads were fast and efficient.

    The 1990's was the high water mark, in the states. They ended bad and we've been going down every since.
    Shows like Time team support this idea. There's been very little original series ever since.

    It seems amazing to me that no-one has thought of watching a depth meter in a boat being driven along the river. Surely a road crossing would be slightly higher than the rest of the river bed.

    SO IN THE END THEY MESSED UP THE BISHOP'S GARDEN AND FOUND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEW: THEY COULDNT EVEN FIND THE OLD DIG SITE: THE BISHOP SEEMED QUITE APPREHENSIVE AND SCEPTICAL WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED!
