It's actually creepy. If you've ever seen a croc rip someones limbs off or kill prey, they latch on and roll like that until they twist your arm off. Saw a video from a zoo of a croc doing it to another croc too.
They actually have proper Lord vs Lord duels. This is fucking awesome. I always hated how in the first game, they just stared at each and other and occassionally threw an attack in a random direction. Usually it was the "THIS IS SPARTA!" kick. Though one main thing I would like is when infantry finally kill monsters. Would be nice to see some awesome heroic takedowns like a lord or some random infantry guy gets to the be badass and do some amazing acrobatics to take down a big monster.
Too bad there are scant few Legendary Lord duel animations. It's a step in the right direction, though, and I hope we get more in the future. For the old Lords too. Removing the long synced exchanges between regular units was a good thing, since they used to disrupt the flow of battle and formations as every unit searched for another unit to enter a synced duel with. But Legendary Lords, goddamn were they a disappointment in WH1.
Ahh yes, like who could forget Dawn of War 2 when an assault Marine runs his chain sword through the cheek of a carnifex, hangs on as it thrashes about and empties his bolt pistol into the mouth of the beast before rolling away as it falls over. "You will find me a sour meal, alien!"
I saw like one or two sync animations of a lord or hero taking down a large monster. Usually it was an Empire Lord or Vampire taking down a Crypt Ghoul or Vargheist. It was actually showcased before the release of the first game when Leoncur(dont thing I spelled that right) killed a ghoul. Other than that animation, I haven't really seen anyother animations like that where the little guy (or big guy in the case of orcs and beastmen) kill the monster.

Rome 2 and shogun 2 with mods, it works pretty well. CA did nothing in this game they are developing things on the fly. Maybe they will finally implement everything in Warhammer 3

I really hope they give Belagar (or dwarf lords in general) a special animation against Queek. Maybe even animate how it was described he died in the End Times, or him cracking Queek's neck like Thorgrim did.
I can imagine that perfectly when you win "the final battle" against Queek in the campaign. Not only would it be satisfying, but it would be just overall heroic.

Oh shit. Today I learned Slann priests have a secret anti--large animation. May I'm going to have to take advantage of that in battle - even if the damage is low they're stunned for ages, gonna give everyone nearby ample time to impale them on various javelins and pole-arms.
I wish Kroq'gar would have unique animations on Grymloq where Grym pins the other monster down and Kroq blasts them with his hand or something along those lines.

as fun as it is, i don't think they should add too much, some of those animation can be too long and make unit completely open to atk, like that Hydra' kill animation, it took him awhile just to eat one unit so enemy can just poke him while he busy doing so. So if they even bother add some for infantry, they should only add a short kill animation.

DeathtoRaiden1 - Yup. It's ridiculous. CA are incredibly greedy. They do stuff like that all the time and get away with it constantly, which is why they continue to do it. And that's why game 2 is of a much lower quality overall than game 1 despite the fact that they could've made it way better.

When They do that in my game they always pause awkwardly for a moment before starting the animations, even if I load a custom battle that's only lord vs lord Also I dont think the Hell Pit Abom v infantry one is actually in the game. I've had several battles where my HPA gots hundreds of infantry kills and I haven't seen it trigger once

Probably has to do with the flow of battle. If your hellpit spends that much time on one model, its going to reduce its effectiveness. That's why the carnosaur can get away with such a long animation for a single model; because it jumps around and damages the entire unit while doing so.

I remember seeing in a video where a dragon animation glitched and it started moving around as if by the force, being dragged by it's head. I thought it was a glitch when I saw it, but it could be a sync animation intended for Maz vs dragons
How you got so nice colors and shadows? I'm running the game maxed out but it's like shadows are barely visible, and the grass is nowhere near this living green.

They may have increased the animation proc table. You could mod TWII before the workshop update so I'm sure someone just messed with that.
