I've been telling people abou this channel, cause its nice having someone who actually understands the language explaining things that are overlooked due to poor english translation. I've been obsessed with this theory for years and pushing Nefertari Buggy on people (Yes, also because they have blue hair.) - Check out Rayleigh's visual resemblance to Cobra. Compare their ages. Why is Rayleigh a "Dark King"? - Look over the Roger Pirates' journey that we've seen so far. We know their route through Paradise was very similar to Luffy's, so they must have been on the same Log Pose chain starting from Alabasta, at least. We know Roger learned about at least two ancient weapons, one being Poseidon. Shiki's comments in the Battle of Edd War in Chapter 0 imply Roger knows about another, and it's a year before they went to Skypeia so it can't be Poseidon. Uranus is to this day very mysterious, so process of elimination says it's Pluton. Oda has never once shown Roger in Alabasta, even though it's almost certain that he was there. Why's that?

Buggy Theory Perhaps The Roger Pirates found both Buggy and Shanks on God Valley, Baby Buggy is the Crown Jewel of Hachinosu and why Rocks rushed off ahead of everyone not giving a damn about the Mythical DFs, which he used as bait to get the rest of the crew to follow him there because they wouldn’t care as much about his son. It’s also an EXTREMELY Oda thing to do to build up Rocks with this shroud of mystery and strength while showing us Buggy as a kind of weakling, coward/braggart only to reveal that the former rival & true enemy of Roger&Garp was Buggy’s father. Also shows us Roger truly believes That the sins of the father have absolutely nothing to do with the child and why he trusts Garp with Ace bc Garp knows Buggy’s lineage too. Also Rocks Pirates mirroring Cross Guild w Former Shichibukai/Future Yonko If the other part of the bigs Rocks theory is he had a kid with a CD then it would make more sense of course. Also the reason why the Celestial Dragons bothered to take Buggy from Rocks is because Buggy’s mom is one of them and they could not and would not let the embarrassment of a CD mating with any pirate, much less one like Rocks, be out in the world. I love this channel and the fact that you haven’t moved to shorts or TikTok is great. Long format content for the win. My only suggestion to make it better would be to have a little more emotion when you speak. I first video I watched I thought it was text to speak, and I sorta turned me off of your content. A lot of people focus on Shanks being a Celestial Dragon. Here's my question, is both of his parents Celestial Dragons? I'm not really sure, but what I'm getting at is, we all assume Buggy is going to fail his way to a prominent role of wealth and power; so what if Buggy is both a D and Celestial Dragon? That's my guess, Buggy is 1/2 Celestial Dragon and 1/2 D. This is why he was abandoned, because of the D lineage coming to light. I don't think Buggy and Shanks are opposites but parallels. That's why when he told Luffy he was going to be a God of pirates, if Luffy was going to be King of pirates, because technically he would be a Celestial Dragon (a "god") with a Pirate crew. Edit: Also, its been hinted that Rocks had looked into taboo knowledge. Think about that, he was a decade earlier than Roger and 20 years ahead of Ohara. So he either had decades of traveling to places that were untouched by the Government (Wano, Sky Islands, Elbaf) like both Roger and Ohara would later do , OR he was a child of a Celestial Dragon and learned about stuff before he became a pirate.

Hi dawn and dusk I love your vids. I have a theory. I believe that most of the main characters in the series are all will of d members INCLUDING all of luffys crew. Rocks' crew and rodgers' crew could be examples of precursors to the straw hats in that way ALL WILL OF D MEMBERS. Anyone with a D in their name and even some that don't have a d in their name. No not represented of the D in between the name like monkey D luffy (it's implied) But like the OGRE KAI D O etc. My suggestion would be for a fun video on how many actual representations are similar to this including shanks figarlan d shanks. I think that Xebec and Roger had a Luffy and Ace like relationship, and Xebec and Gloriosa had a child, which would be Buggy. After xebecs death, Gloriosa wanted to return to Amazon Lilly but had to give the baby to Roger to take care of because he wouldn't be welcome on the island of women. Thats my going theory.
No joke, I think he's going to somehow get the title pirate god. Way back during his first fight with Luffy he said "if you're going to be king than I guess that'll make me god." I feel like Luffy and Buggy are gonna have to face Shanks eventually. I feel like shanks is ultimately good, but maybe he is working with Emu and the higher ups. I also think every fruit has a will. Vegapunk told that fruits represents abbilities brought into existence by human hope and desire, therefore every fruit was made by the same way. We also know that souls exists because when someone dies, weight changes (we already knew that thanks to Brook and BigMom). I do not think Luffy's fruit is hito hito no mi. Every logia and paramecia are hito hito. Those fruits are wishes from people from the past with enough "soul power/haki" to turn a fruit into DF. Luffy is still gomu gomu. Nika was the creator of the DF, and when the user reaches awakening, the soul of the creator and old users manifest. That's why Kaido told Luffy is G5 Luffy was still Luffy, because he knows that he could lose his mind to the creator. In animals like Kaido, the creator is a powerful beast. When a user dies, the soul of the fruit travels to another fruit. In Brook's case, he could control that soul. That also explains that BigMom is not alone. When Caramel died, her soul went to Linlin and changed. Only in extreme conditions (hungry, lost conciousness), the soul lose strength.

I just thought of this, Do you think of instead of the poneglyphs Buggy's ancestor was responsible for the creation and spread of the devil fruits since we know that the devil fruits contain lineage factor? And that it was sort of like a splitting of Joyboy's DNA or more so people's will/will just as Osiris was cut up and spread all over before his wife found all his pieces and put him back together.

Back on Chapter 17, when Luffy says "I will be King of Pirates" to Buggy, the latter responds mockingly that if Luffy is going to be King of Pirates then he is going to be God of Pirates. That might look like a gag, but if your theory is correct then "becoming a god" was actually a foreshadowing!
Buggy being an analog to Osiris makes hella sense. Cross Guild could be an Ankh Guild just as well. Crocodile is analogous to the soul devouring crocodile of the underworld, and dracule Mihawk is a hawk, the animal of Osiris.

Hypothetically, one could enhance the precision of body part separation, enabling microscopic division for stealth or microscopic exploration. Additionally, granting the ability to control each piece remotely could enhance tactical advantages. Ultimately, a limit "may be" reached where further improvement disrupts the balance of the One Piece world.

But his monolog to Mihawk and Crocodile about becoming the King of the Pirates may have been us witnessing his awakening. What he could have been if Roger lived if the crew stayed together and he grew as a person and pirate. He and Usopp are written very similarly, which is why I won't be surprised when they both have conqueror's haki.
Wouldn't splitting the poneglyphs be a problem for Buggy, his ancestor or any other bara bara no mi use since they are made of sea stone? In Dressrosa, the sea stone buildngs were the only buildings doffy's strings wouldn't cut.

Croco Mom is my favorite theory in One Piece. Ivankov making that comment about fixing Crocodile seemed like mad foreshadowing to me. And then after finding out Luffy was Dragon's son in Impel Down really made Crocodile change his tune and cooperate more with Luffy. Good stuff. It's outlandish enough to be possible.

Hello Dawn & Dusk, I have had a question about One Piece for a long time. I would like to hear your opinion as a translator. It is about the name of the island that contains the One Piece. In English, the island has had the names of Raftel and Laugh Tale. This was treated as a reveal in some English spaces, but to my knowledge the Japanese name has always been the same. My personal theory is that the name of the final island is actually Laughter. This fits with my knowledge about L and R being the same sound in Japanese, however I do not know enough about translation to concretely form arguments for this theory and I do not know if this has any significance in Japanese. How is the island that contains the One Piece named in Japanese? Does it have any meaning?

I had an idea but its in its first stages. Maybe Shanks was supposed to be a gift to his father for winning the slaughter games . Maybe Celestial Dragons who look normal are genetically engineered to be above average and can't have kids because of a genetic disease that passes unto their slave wife's through intercourse. Maybe this is what happened to Bonnie and her Mom. Maybe Shanks was a test tube baby and this is the only way they can procreate. By having a child with a non Celestial Dragon the child and the mother have a high chance of getting this Sapphire illness.
This is actually a really good one. But how do you think Shanks ended up with Gol D roger pirates? During Film red, there was a flashback memory of him being in a place where Roger and others saw him which is similar to when Shanks met Uta in a treasure chest on his ship.

I've fully believed that Buggy was a "D" for a while now and it's awesome to see such a well done video on this. I hope Buggy's character goes farther and I hope he get more powerful. I'd say that he has some of the best potential in OP.
This theory makes a lot of sense. I believe at one point Buggy’s paramecia was suppose to be a Zoan type, so it possibly supports him having a god fruit. In addition, it would explain why the Elders were so quick to give him such a huge bounty. Lastly, we know next to nothing about Rocks D Xebec. Rocks getting it on with a Nefertari would explain why the Gorosei would be so intimidated by him and want to erase him from history. His successor would in theory then be able to bridge the world government and all pirates alike. Hence “King Buggy.” The R and L in Japanese are also a lot a like, and apparently Clown could hypothetically be interpreted/ translated as Crown.
The early translations that come a couple of days before the official ones are always riddled with mistakes like the thing with Garling. I'm not telling anyone to stop reading those, but always be aware that the official translation has the correct intentions and meanings.
Maybe the early revolutionary elements of the world met in Alabasta 800 years ago and decided their symbol of resistance to be the Dawn 🌞 But they would need to hide it, like early Christians hid theirs under the symbol of a fish 🐟. They looked out and saw the sun shining behind a Dune 🌅. It also sounds almost the same Dune Dawn. The strawhat is the same color as a sand Dune.
If Buggy is indeed a descendant of Lily, it would definetly make sense that Lily or somewhat Lily fruit - Bari Bari no mi, sensed Buggy was in danger in impel down. Hi dawn and dusk I love your vids. I have a theory. I believe that most of the main characters in the series are all will of d members INCLUDING all of luffys crew. Rocks' crew and rodgers' crew could be examples of precursors to the straw hats in that way ALL WILL OF D MEMBERS. Anyone with a D in their name and even some that don't have a d in their name. No not represented of the D in between the name like monkey D luffy (it's implied) But like the OGRE KAI D O etc. My suggestion would be for a fun video on how many actual representations are similar to this including shanks figarlan d shanks. I think that Xebec and Roger had a Luffy and Ace like relationship, and Xebec and Gloriosa had a child, which would be Buggy. After xebecs death, Gloriosa wanted to return to Amazon Lilly but had to give the baby to Roger to take care of because he wouldn't be welcome on the island of women.

I feel like Luffy and Buggy are gonna have to face Shanks eventually. I feel like shanks is ultimately good, but maybe he is working with Emu and the higher ups. I also think every fruit has a will. Vegapunk told that fruits represents abbilities brought into existence by human hope and desire, therefore every fruit was made by the same way. We also know that souls exists because when someone dies, weight changes (we already knew that thanks to Brook and BigMom).
I do not think Luffy's fruit is hito hito no mi. Every logia and paramecia are hito hito. Those fruits are wishes from people from the past with enough "soul power/haki" to turn a fruit into DF. Luffy is still gomu gomu. Nika was the creator of the DF, and when the user reaches awakening, the soul of the creator and old users manifest. That's why Kaido told Luffy is G5 Luffy was still Luffy, because he knows that he could lose his mind to the creator. In animals like Kaido, the creator is a powerful beast.
When a user dies, the soul of the fruit travels to another fruit. In Brook's case, he could control that soul. That also explains that BigMom is not alone. When Caramel died, her soul went to Linlin and changed. Only in extreme conditions (hungry, lost conciousness), the soul lose strength.
Maybe Morgans is a Nefertari descendant which is why he is also always in his bird body

But his monolog to Mihawk and Crocodile about becoming the King of the Pirates may have been us witnessing his awakening. What he could have been if Roger lived if the crew stayed together and he grew as a person and pirate.
He and Usopp are written very similarly, which is why I won't be surprised when they both have conqueror's haki.
I really love the idea that it was Bara Bara no mi DF rather than the Paw Paw DF which sent the divided pongliffs far away

Croco Mom is my favorite theory in One Piece. Ivankov making that comment about fixing Crocodile seemed like mad foreshadowing to me. And then after finding out Luffy was Dragon's son in Impel Down really made Crocodile change his tune and cooperate more with Luffy. Good stuff. It's outlandish enough to be possible.

Hello Dawn & Dusk, I have had a question about One Piece for a long time. I would like to hear your opinion as a translator. It is about the name of the island that contains the One Piece.
In English, the island has had the names of Raftel and Laugh Tale. This was treated as a reveal in some English spaces, but to my knowledge the Japanese name has always been the same.
My personal theory is that the name of the final island is actually Laughter. This fits with my knowledge about L and R being the same sound in Japanese, however I do not know enough about translation to concretely form arguments for this theory and I do not know if this has any significance in Japanese. How is the island that contains the One Piece named in Japanese? Does it have any meaning?
Roger does call it a "tale full of laughs" so i think laugh tale is correct

I had an idea but its in its first stages. Maybe Shanks was supposed to be a gift to his father for winning the slaughter games . Maybe Celestial Dragons who look normal are genetically engineered to be above average and can't have kids because of a genetic disease that passes unto their slave wife's through intercourse. Maybe this is what happened to Bonnie and her Mom. Maybe Shanks was a test tube baby and this is the only way they can procreate. By having a child with a non Celestial Dragon the child and the mother have a high chance of getting this Sapphire illness.
This is actually a really good one. But how do you think Shanks ended up with Gol D roger pirates? During Film red, there was a flashback memory of him being in a place where Roger and others saw him which is similar to when Shanks met Uta in a treasure chest on his ship.

In Jaya, Blackbeard says "Peoples dreams never end" and in recent chapters, luffy says "that's at the END of my dream." I would absolutely love for the owner of this channel to explain for us if there is something deeper going on there? Or is it just a translation problem?
I've fully believed that Buggy was a "D" for a while now and it's awesome to see such a well done video on this. I hope Buggy's character goes farther and I hope he get more powerful. I'd say that he has some of the best potential in OP.
This theory makes a lot of sense. I believe at one point Buggy’s paramecia was suppose to be a Zoan type, so it possibly supports him having a god fruit. In addition, it would explain why the Elders were so quick to give him such a huge bounty. Lastly, we know next to nothing about Rocks D Xebec. Rocks getting it on with a Nefertari would explain why the Gorosei would be so intimidated by him and want to erase him from history. His successor would in theory then be able to bridge the world government and all pirates alike. Hence “King Buggy.” The R and L in Japanese are also a lot a like, and apparently Clown could hypothetically be interpreted/ translated as Crown.
The early translations that come a couple of days before the official ones are always riddled with mistakes like the thing with Garling. I'm not telling anyone to stop reading those, but always be aware that the official translation has the correct intentions and meanings.
Maybe the early revolutionary elements of the world met in Alabasta 800 years ago and decided their symbol of resistance to be the Dawn 🌞 But they would need to hide it, like early Christians hid theirs under the symbol of a fish 🐟. They looked out and saw the sun shining behind a Dune 🌅. It also sounds almost the same Dune Dawn. The strawhat is the same color as a sand Dune.
If Buggy is indeed a descendant of Lily, it would definetly make sense that Lily or somewhat Lily fruit - Bari Bari no mi, sensed Buggy was in danger in impel down.
