I really go all out and my house looks so naked when they’re gone. Since it’s just me and my husband, I sometimes leave mine up longer than I should. Lol. I also went to a new dentist one time. He told me I needed $30,000 worth of work! I left his office crying! Went to another dentist and he said there was nothing wrong with my teeth other than I needed an old filling replaced. Leave your decorations up!! Our tree will come down and some other traditional Christmas decor will be put away but we love to keep some out as our winter decor. It’s a nice transition from Christmas to winter. We are in the Midwest so it works for us!! Best wishes to you in 2023!!🎉

My mom always left our tree up at least until New Year's day. I do it too. The bottom line is that it's your home Mandy. Do what you want. I always thought letting other people decide how you decorate and when was strange anyway.
There are 12 days of Christmas, so I never take down our decorations before Epiphany on January 6… usually a little after because stars and light and the magi are all appropriate symbols for Epiphany. I completely agree that it’s a shame to rush to take them down during such a dreary time of year, especially since, as you said, it's a lot of work to put them up! In Europe, I understand they are often thought of more as winter decorations than only for Christmas. I usually put away any Santas, but I think more general sparkly winter decorations like snowmen, snowflakes, etc. are great through February. (And yes, I have left my tree up and switched to valentine decorations before.)
It is Feb 15th, and all my inside decorations are still up. I live alone and winter is long and after all the work to put them up I leave them up and enjoy them! I am so sad to take them down as the twinkling lights bring so much beauty and pleasure. Years ago, I felt I had to follow the norm and would worry what others think but I am retired, and I no longer care what others think, I do what I enjoy!! I just bought this palette after wanting it for a long time. I love neutrals!

My daughter came home from Florida for the first Christmas in six years. It was such a wonderful Christmas for me! I love the idea of the baseball scrapbook. My son is in his senior year of high school and this could be his final baseball season. I need to do this for next year! I do know one thing, this mama will not have a dry eye for that last game this year!

As for Christmas decorations, I keep mine up until after Ephiphany. (Jan 6) As Christians, we observe the 12 days of Christmas and Ephiphany (Three Kings Day), so like Dec 25 through Jan 6. Hope that helps.
So do we in Spain as we celebrate the 6th as the day the Three Kings bring the presents, it is a big day, so all Christmas decorations stay at least until then. Most people remove the decorations a few days later. One year I left my decorations until June, hahaha😅😅 I was in a new house and did not have much of them and they made the house look so pretty….then in June I had to decide to take them out or leave them until the following Christmas! it felt way too much so I removed them finally 😂 but I was living alone, so who cared?

I only have a small tree and this year I only put on the lights. It makes January a little less dreary and cold (at least emotionally).

I just got the Uoma brow gel/pencil two days ago and I absolutely LOVE it. It is the perfect color, love the tiny spooly, love the consistency, and the pencil is perfect. It makes doing my brows so much faster. I hope they never discontinue it. I also love the Lust For Dusk palette. Love your videos! Hope you have a great New Year

Christmas is not over! Christmas began December 25 and ends on January 6 with Epiphany. Hence, the twelve days of Christmas! Everything leading up to December 25 was Advent. It’s so much work putting up Christmas decorations so enjoy them for a while longer. I usually take my Christmas decorations down the second week of January, and then leave out winter things, such as snowflakes and snowman until a week or so into February.

I watched as many of your Sydney Grace eyeshadow videos as I am trying to find single shades to dupe of the Chantecaille limited addition Cougar eye quad. I had to stop writing on the previous comment because a different video was coming up. I love the look you created with that palette. I have been tempted to get this one myself and now I'm even more so. Have you seen the one with the sage greens? That one is really calling to me as well. And I'm trying to not buy much makeup this coming year. Oh boy, I'm in trouble. At least the colourpop ones are much more reasonably priced than the Natasha Denona. So far I have only gotten a mini one of hers and that was after I saw you doing a video of the mini retro. Love it. I would say you are definitely my favorite makeup artist. You definitely do more wearable looks for a 64 year old like me. I still like some shimmers. Luckily I dont have that many wrinkles around my eyes yet.
Bummed about the feelin’ bubbly pallet, went out and bought it because of this video but it looks way warmer in real life than on your video. Maybe it’s my skin tone or it’s your lighting. I was hoping for a cooler look like it looks on your video. I’ll keep playing with it since I bought it, their blush crush is one of my favs.
I’m so sorry about that Sheri! It’s definitely not cool toned but I also don’t consider it super warm. Maybe that’s just my preference though. I’ll have to start doing more comparison swatches with neutral palettes- they can be tricky! Thanks for the feedback!❤️
You may want to consider a lighted tree off Amazon like the one MrsMelissaM has in her videos. She keeps it in her background all year around. It’s so pretty. If you look at one of her Amazon favorites videos she should have it listed on there.
It appears to me that the deer and trees on our left are winter decor rather than holiday, and I think you can leave that vignette up until late winter .
Just a thought on 'cavities' ... I had quite a number of cavities due to GERD. It's a reflux disorder where the stomach gases seep up into your mouth while sleeping and can cause some severe side effects of which one is increased dental problems. Just something to consider for the adult folks. Sugar and simple carbs can also lead to tooth decay.
Dental insurance doesn’t cover cavities anyway. My kids are in their twenties and all of a sudden have a lot of cavities but the dentist didn’t even fill them which I thought was weird.
I don't know where in Utah you are, but my dentist in Holladay is amazing! Dr. Michael T. Smith at Holladay Smiles. I moved to Nevada 7 years ago and still go see him twice a year because I haven't found anyone better.

Leave the trees! I have a couple of 4’ trees on either side of my fireplace & have white lights. I turn them on at night all winter!

I have been tempted to get this one myself and now I'm even more so. Have you seen the one with the sage greens? That one is really calling to me as well. And I'm trying to not buy much makeup this coming year. Oh boy, I'm in trouble. At least the colourpop ones are much more reasonably priced than the Natasha Denona. So far I have only gotten a mini one of hers and that was after I saw you doing a video of the mini retro. Love it. I would say you are definitely my favorite makeup artist. You definitely do more wearable looks for a 64 year old like me. I still like some shimmers. Luckily I dont have that many wrinkles around my eyes yet.
Bummed about the feelin’ bubbly pallet, went out and bought it because of this video but it looks way warmer in real life than on your video. Maybe it’s my skin tone or it’s your lighting. I was hoping for a cooler look like it looks on your video. I’ll keep playing with it since I bought it, their blush crush is one of my favs.
I’m so sorry about that Sheri! It’s definitely not cool toned but I also don’t consider it super warm. Maybe that’s just my preference though. I’ll have to start doing more comparison swatches with neutral palettes- they can be tricky! Thanks for the feedback!❤️

You may want to consider a lighted tree off Amazon like the one MrsMelissaM has in her videos. She keeps it in her background all year around. It’s so pretty. If you look at one of her Amazon favorites videos she should have it listed on there.
It appears to me that the deer and trees on our left are winter decor rather than holiday, and I think you can leave that vignette up until late winter .

Just a thought on 'cavities' ... I had quite a number of cavities due to GERD. It's a reflux disorder where the stomach gases seep up into your mouth while sleeping and can cause some severe side effects of which one is increased dental problems. Just something to consider for the adult folks. Sugar and simple carbs can also lead to tooth decay.

Dental insurance doesn’t cover cavities anyway. My kids are in their twenties and all of a sudden have a lot of cavities but the dentist didn’t even fill them which I thought was weird.
