I haven't watched this episode yet, but according to the preview of this episode, Seyong's father dies. It seems like she was in Japan while her dad died, (and Marin would know that since she's the one in the future) so she's probably telling him to stop her from going to Japan, so that seyong can see her dad one last time before he dies
