"our songs are about the issues in our society" - Lee Siyeon Dreamcatcher's songs used to be about some thrilling creepy loves or nightmares, but in dystopia (the opposite of utopia) series, it's all about what's been happening recently in the industry, where idols are finally get to be treated like a human being and they're being supported for voicing out what they have been through. 'Scream' was about how they never give up on what they do as idols no matter how hard it is. 'Boca' means mouth in Spanish and in this case, the mouth full of thorns, which is also seen in the choreography. The song is either telling everyone that they should set themselves free by saying what's been hurting them, or it's to those who claim to be a fan while they only see negative things and keep hurting people and 'too many angels'. sorry I can't stop myself from saying this I'M SO HWAKING GAY FOR SIYEON PLEASE SAVE ME

I originally thought dreamcatcher was all about nightmare, but this theme has ended with the piri's album "The end of nightmare" which is self explanatory, and the album of deja vu "Raid of dream" to show what's left after nightmare. The actual theme is "Dystopia : Tree of language", it seems there is a tree that control and maintain the communication between humans. We see a tree in both scream and boca MVs. At the beginning of Scream MV, there is a sentence "One day suddenly the light did not come, people forgot how to say good things". I though scream was only about witch hunt but there is actually a lore behind it. In this MV, the tree is connected to an altar or something though a portal, Gahyeon go in it and touch a crystal of language that explode, then a shockwave blow from the tree. I think she started everything, the chorus "please I don't want to scream" become "I just wanna make you scream" stating she is contaminated by the madness and try to hurt people with words. Also Dami's rap : "One by one, everyone goes crazy". In Boca, in a world full of sharp word, the lyrics tell somnias to close the door of their heart to bad mouth, a hero (dreamcatcher) come to lock the door until they change the world and repair the language In a recent live, JiU says Boca is the second episode of a three part series. The last part is probably about Dreamcatcher restoring the language, bringing back love to the world and ending the dystopia. Not only Dreamcatcher is talented and pretty, their concept is also so deep. I can't believe this group is still underated. DC deserve so much more.

Ok this is gonna sound stupid since I obviously don't actually know any of them personally, but. I've been a Dreamcatcher fan since Good Night era, and it's been SO rewarding to see all of them grow, improve, and find their own style, most of all Gahyeon. As a metal and rock fans i really appreciate how dreamcatcher mixed and fusion genre into another level this is very unique most of kpop group i never heard before..almost every song i heard and watch their mv but this song really give me goosebumps with that choreo, vocal visual and acting..i personally love Dami rap verse, Gahyeon pink hair, Yoohyeon arrow scene, Siyeon high note, Jiu prechorus vocal and Sua soft vocal overall this song really got . I hope dreamcatcher make baddas and iconic song like this again
I just saw someone on twitter say that Gahyeon crying golden blood is linked to greek mythology and implying that she is actually immortal in this universe. So what if when the arrow shot Yoohyeon she died but in Gahyeon's case she didn't because linking back to Dystopia: tree of language she was the one who touched that crystal thing causing it to break which may have given her an immortal lifetime.... This is so true, especially nowadays. I’m a fan of a lot of gen 4 groups and I’m kinda sad that they show no sign of improvement in their comebacks… especially vocals.. they focus more on dances, choreographies and marketing, music videos etc..but forgot to practice their vocals.. and some of them had(still have) really good vocals but the practice isn’t there and quality is getting lower… I still support them but damn.. be singers..
These girls deserve *everything* . Their songs are art. Look at those lyrics, they are meaningful and not just a simple game of catchy words. I don’t really think people understand the significance of this song and what it represents. For me, someone who’s struggled a lot in the past, it’s still very touching and emotional just watching and reading the lyrics. In the middle of a pandemic full of people with mental health problems, this is just what they might need. This is saving and will save lives. Nobody’s tackling this problem like they did here. This really deserves more recognition, especially today on World Suicide Prevention Day. I hope people can get their word out to others, this is the kind of content we need to go viral right now.

I hate it that music has turned into a competition. Dreamcatcher's music can't be compared to other usual k-pop songs. But I also want them to win. I want them to be hugely recognized. (not intended to shade any particular artist) But there are some 'artists' in the industry who has such a HUGE privilege debuting under a large company. It is such a pity that talent like this isn't recognised. Dreamcatcher's songs used to be about some thrilling creepy loves or nightmares, but in dystopia (the opposite of utopia) series, it's all about what's been happening recently in the industry, where idols are finally get to be treated like a human being and they're being supported for voicing out what they have been through. 'Scream' was about how they never give up on what they do as idols no matter how hard it is. 'Boca' means mouth in Spanish and in this case, the mouth full of thorns, which is also seen in the choreography.
The song is either telling everyone that they should set themselves free by saying what's been hurting them, or it's to those who claim to be a fan while they only see negative things and keep hurting people and 'too many angels'.

I originally thought dreamcatcher was all about nightmare, but this theme has ended with the piri's album "The end of nightmare" which is self explanatory, and the album of deja vu "Raid of dream" to show what's left after nightmare.
The actual theme is "Dystopia : Tree of language", it seems there is a tree that control and maintain the communication between humans. We see a tree in both scream and boca MVs.
At the beginning of Scream MV, there is a sentence "One day suddenly the light did not come, people forgot how to say good things". I though scream was only about witch hunt but there is actually a lore behind it. In this MV, the tree is connected to an altar or something though a portal, Gahyeon go in it and touch a crystal of language that explode, then a shockwave blow from the tree. I think she started everything, the chorus "please I don't want to scream" become "I just wanna make you scream" stating she is contaminated by the madness and try to hurt people with words. Also Dami's rap : "One by one, everyone goes crazy".
In Boca, in a world full of sharp word, the lyrics tell somnias to close the door of their heart to bad mouth, a hero (dreamcatcher) come to lock the door until they change the world and repair the language
In a recent live, JiU says Boca is the second episode of a three part series. The last part is probably about Dreamcatcher restoring the language, bringing back love to the world and ending the dystopia.
Not only Dreamcatcher is talented and pretty, their concept is also so deep. I can't believe this group is still underated. DC deserve so much more.

I hate it that music has turned into a competition. Dreamcatcher's music can't be compared to other usual k-pop songs. But I also want them to win. I want them to be hugely recognized. "Music" these days is all about being catchy and getting the views. This is not the case with these beautiful girls.
