I started playing bass in 2002/3 and I remember hearing how Brian played on those first two Creed records and how he just created his own voice in the music and wrote very melodic bass lines and I wanted to write bass lines like that. Still to this day Brian is my biggest influence on how I write bass lines. Severely underrated/under talked about bass player.

Thank you for doing this, Brian has a truly special place in my heart. One day when the guys were touring with Creed back in 2012 they came to Chile and you know I've been listening to Alter Bridge since 2007 so I discovered Creed through AB, I went to the airport the next day after they performed here in a total fanboy way to meet the guys in a more intimate way, I was young and dumb and passionate so I was asking for a photo, and autograph and a pick if I was lucky enough, I asked to Brian if he had a pick or something that he could give to me in a very shy way, he said 'Oh I don't know, but let see' and out of nowhere he took his backpack and started to take things out and he found an 'AB III' bass pick and gave it to me, that pick it's one on my precious things I own and I still can't believe how he did that, to take the time to please a fan like that when you are tired at the airport? That tells me the kind of person that Brian is, an amazing one. Congratulations for your sobriety Brian, keep doing impecably as you've been doing so far.

That's a pretty cool story. Brian has always captured my attention. I am much older than you it seems. I knew of him back in their original Creed days. His bass playing, even being younger, captured my attention in songs like One. When he was pushed out of Creed the first time, I thought it was such a big loss on their third record. Then when Creed split up and Alter Bridge started, hearing Brian's bass playing on Open Your Eyes was so great. He's been my favorite bass player forever and really motivated me to play bass. I too am happy he is doing well with his sobriety, it can be very difficult.

I will admit that the combination of my wife’s help and love along with alter bridge and their songs helped me through it all!

I wasn't expecting my life story through another man's eyes when I clicked on this video. Well done Brian. I sobered up 10 years ago when I emigrated from the UK to Australia. 2 massive steps in my life. The clarity and strength of mind I have now is amazing. Still have those dark days.
Keep the music flowing a fellow sober bass player

One of the most melodic bass players ever. So very underrated.

Yay, glad you've included footage from concert in Poland! This was my first time seeing AB live, and that was amazing! I love the show, the tunes more than... i think any of your live shows i've seen/heard before!
And this was the show, where i've noticed that Brian spent like 40% of his time near amps, trying to hear himself. Yeah, the sound on this arena was way too bassy, and i give him so much respect, for that he cared. He knew that a lot of people probably would not hear his bass, and still he wanted to give hist best to the ones who were not so close to speakers (just like my sweet place closer to the middle of the crowd). Amazing musician, he even pointed at me when he was playing at "my" sector of the stage...

4:19 I believe that the New Way To Live b side off of the Blackbird recording sessions was written about him and his struggles. Great song!! Top underrated AB track for sure

This was truly touching, I remember seeing them at the o2 last year in December, Brian looked at me and did the devil horns, a moment I will never forget

This was great! I often think we don’t hear a lot from Brian, and this was so amazing to get to hear his perspective on it all.
