Authentic Goan Letri Recipe

One of my neighbour in Goa, messaged me asking if had uploaded the recipe of Letri, and the first thing that came to my mind was the Letri we use in soup. But then she said it's prepared out of coconut ,and I asked her if she was talking about cocad but she said no. She was very kind as she went out of her way to get the recipe for me . Thank you Aunty Goretti for sharing this almost forgotten recipe.
Letri is a Goan sweet, this sweet isn't available over the counter, like other Goan sweets. It is prepared with grated coconut, the coconut shouldn't be too tender nor too mature. The egg yolk is used to intricate lace like lattice decoration.
