- 12 of the best fishing knots from easy to hard! How many can you tie?
In this video I will show multiple ways to attach a fishing hook, swivel, or lure. Some knots are very easy such as the uni knot and clinch knot, while others are more challenging such as the loop knot and san diego jam knot.
While the best fishing knot is up for debate, I always use the palomar knot for braided fishing line, and in most situations I use the uni knot or improved clinch knot when fishing with monofilament.
The uni knot, clinch knot, and trilene knot are good all-around knots. The snell knot and knotless knot is good for snelling a hook, especially when fishing with circle hooks. When you want to increase the action of your lure/bait, the loop knot and figure 8 knot are good options.

@@thonglequang8482 I believe your palomar not is an incorrect Finnish. The last loop you tighten down is sapost to be on top of the knot not the side like how you have it

I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.
About time someone showed how to tie knots slower enough to follow great work

I’m the one knot fits all hooks kind of guy. The improved clinched knot is fast and simple and works like a charm.

I use the clinch cuz I've tied it for so many years that I can tie it in almost zero light.
I typically tie a Uni when I’m in no hurry. Can be tied regular or weedless, but I’ve started snelling all Texas rigs for a better hookup ratio.
My go to is the palomar knot for fishing, though I literally put my life in the hands of the figure 8 when I rock climb, so it's good too.

Excellent. For many years I used mainly improved clinch, and it's a good one for most things but sometimes like something different. You make it really easy to follow.

Terrible for braid. Excellent for mono. I twist it 7-11 times depending on how heavy of a bait I'm using/size of fish I'm hunting.

Oh well. It might help, but I've NEVER caught a fish! Caught crayfish though. They said if I'd put one on my hook I might have caught a salmon... Ma caught a small shark before she went Home! I'd like to catch SOMETHING before I leave here! Tried to teach my grandson and all we got was hot! 😅 🙏🙌

My dad taught me the regular clinch knot and I'm not sure of the name for the other knot, for hooking sinkers and multiple hooks per line with a loop. He recently passed and I miss him. He loved fishing

Ah! So the knot Daddy(rest his soul) taught me when I was knee-high to a proverbial grasshopper is called a "clinch knot." Only one I've used and I'm 53 now. Lol

Polymer knot definitely the go to and the best. But this has to be the best fishing knot tutorial out there

My little brother (43yo) has a grandson who wants his "Pop-pop" to teach him how to fish. He hasn't fished in years, and was never really all that great to begin with. He told me that he needs a refresher on his fishing knots, so I shows him this video.

I've only ever used the improved clench knot never lost a fish. dad and grandfather taught me and I will continue teaching it others look just as reliable but not as fast to me
