    I had always been very slim…even after four babies. It was a real shocker when my belly grew at age 71. I tried everything. Feels good to know others have experienced this too.
    Get off your sugar by dr.

    Water 💦 stay hydrated. I use lemon or electrolytes in it.
    Exercise…weight training three times a week. Heavy weights and short workouts.
    Meditate and pray. Stretch. Self care.
    Walking everyday. I go for an hour to relax to being down cortisol.

    I really appreciate all your videos. Truly, I started menopause a couple years ago. I am now 54 and suffering like I’ve never suffered in my life. I am trying everything possible to help with my symptoms. I found some good things. Maca is one of them. I work in retail management and I stand all day. I don’t get to move around a lot because I am in charge upfront so it makes it hard for me to want to exercise when I’m off because I’m so exhausted my whole body hurts. I do do meditation and I love it but I am going to try to start yoga for beginners from home, thank you again for sharing the journey you went through it helps me to understand that I’m not alone.

    The quick and easy way is simple. Burn more calories than i put in my self. Also have to be vigorous on the weights.
    I have to be vigorous or else it will NOT work for me. No pain, no gain.
    My routine is watching how much i eat. And it HELPS on the kind of food too. Limit my intake. Then effectively burn MORE calories than i put in. Vigorous cardio I LIKE DOING... in my case. I love riding my bike. Typically 1 hour per day. Then go to gym for the vigorous upper body workout. Got to feel sore or else im not working out hard enough. The body then "repairs" and makes my body look more muscular rather than skinny bone jones from all the calorie burning. DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO MOTIVATE ME. For, me im only motivated if i wear specificly sexy ballet dancer shiny spandex like in the 70s. And a slimfit shiny tank top. (I look good in it) Its a way to "force me" to get in shape . Thats how i motivate myself. The more i see myself getting shapely in that mirror, the more i want to keep in shape

    I am 55 menopausal and I lost 36 pounds doing keto and intermittent fasting …..it was miserable and I’ll never do it again ! I’ve kept those 36 pounds off but I still have 15-20 to go . Low sugar low carb messed up my electrolytes when I did low carb even with drinking electrolytes! I started to add carbs back in including fruit and everything got better no more electrolyte issues and adding fruit sugar back in helped me start losing fat again ! I eat meat it’s so important as plant proteins do not absorb get used by the body like meat protein does ! There’s no need to eliminate meat ! Don’t buy into the heavy plant based lifestyle our govt and ppl are pushing !

    • @mjcaw5790
      @mjcaw5790 5 місяців тому

      I also eat meat and I agree with you. If I don't eat meat and do only plant I end up with severe dizzy spells. Some of us are not able to be vegetarian protein eaters. I ended up in emergency and was off work until I added meat back in and it took a long time to rebalance my body.

    Hi Tamsen, I found you through Mel Robbins website creator. I love this important content that you are creating...and you are such a beautiful lady! I'm a 55+ woman who enjoyed a fit, active and healthy life prior to menopause. The tips you share in this video are excellent...I love the organization of your snacks and smoothie additions. I think that's important or else I might grab something unhealthy if not readily available or present. Thank you for sharing the books and products you love - I am interested in following a plant based, perhaps Ayurvedic diet. I will try to practice intermittent fasting...that is a new one to me. I have always learned to eat within a short time after rising. Thank you!!

    I am 58 and having such a hard time with it. Always trim until now. I did crazy workouts at the gym, didn't lost a single pound. Didn't know about that cortisol problem in menopause which caused the weight to stay on at the gym. We are told nothing about menopause. Our health care system is completely stupid and/or corrupt. Probably both.
