I believe there are three (or more?) different types of Tongues. 1. Personal Tongues between a believer and God in prayer, 'wordless groans' as Paul writes perhaps. 2. Gift of Tongues of speaking an earthly language you don't know. E.g., Pentecost when people outside heard their own tongues spoken. 3. Gift of Tongues for glorifying God and encouraging people in Churches - when there is an interpreter! A heavenly language, so to speak. May the Lord bless and encourage each one of you with His peace and joy no matter your circumstances!

Chuck was at his wife's side as she suffered from cancer for nine years, then she passed away. I don't know exactly how long it was before Chuck passed away but it wasn't long. What a total blessing Chuck Missler has been to so many! I spent 10 yrs in reformed churches. Then i found Chuck Missler. I was raised with premillenial view. To loose prophecy teachings is a robbery of hope. Praise The Lord, im back.

First guy I've ever heard respond, "Nope," to "can you help me figure this out" question. I greatly respect Chuck Missler for that. Most bible/end time teachers, are usually quick to answer with their particular view.
I think the 5 virgins that did not enter the feast represent christians who missed the rapture for couple reasons. The fact that they were identical to the other 5 and part of the other 5 at the start, both parties had oil, both parties were waiting Christ. I believe that it's a pretty clear indication in the context that they were christians who were left behind.
You're spot on about tongues, may I also add that some churches frown on it ( for various reasons ) and yet 1Corth. 14:39 says not to forbid speaking in tongues. Such a shame and embarrassment that little things like this divide the body.
Of course, but not all tongues are gifts of the Holy Spirit, this is one reason we're to try the spirits. I have heard Holy Spirit gifted tongues on many occasions and questionable tongues as well. The Holy Spirit Himself will testify when the tongues are from Him, either in the Spirit or by a given translation. I myself spoke in tongues soon after being saved, I had no religious background, never heard of speaking in tongues but I couldn't shake the thought that I needed to say things that I didn't understand. I finally did after several days of resisting and immediately came under condemnation ( remember the Spirit convicts, Satan condemns ). I shared this with my youth leader at the Presbyterian church I had started attending and he asked me what I'd said, since it was in a language that I didn't know I could only remember a few words one of which was "Abba". He started laughing and showed me Romans 8:15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." As I continued in my Spiritual growth and reading Scripture I also found Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father."
There are specifications to be respected. In 14:27-28, Paul provides regulations on how tongues should manifest themselves in the corporate worship service. He writes, “If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret; but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God.” Here are Paul’s rules for speaking in tongues: No one should speak unless an interpreter is present and identified. “He is to be silent” is a command. A tongue speaker can control his gift. The interpreter can be the tongue speaker (cf. 14:13). The reason I add that the interpreter must be identified is that 14:28 says, “If there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church.” Before one speaks in a tongue he must know there is an interpreter, not just hope there is one. Of course, if there is no interpreter present the tongues speaker doesn’t have to stifle his or her gift, he or she simply must use it silently: “let him speak to himself and to God.” God says, “Order in the Church!”
Exactly, and very good since there is not a lot of teaching concerning the correct manifestation. One sure way to identify false tongues is that these guidelines are not met. It is also interesting that in the Old Testament prophets were put to death if their prophecies didn't come about. God gives us the parameters to discern His truth from lies.
.....In a public forum.......but in a person's private prayer life they should do it much...Paul says.."I thank my God I speak in tongues more than you all."......willfully.....he trained himself to silently speak in tongues as often as possible.
I have been in many services where there was tongues and interpretation and not once was an interpreter identified before hand. When the Holy Spirit moves in a service or when you are out ministering it comes spontaneously as the Holy Spirit wills. You can over ride it but you will be quenching the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and will not force you to speak in tongues or interpret. The Holy Spirit wouldn't move on you to speak in tongues and not already have an interpreter. I am speaking here about the gift of tongues. There is tongues for personal edification that you can do at will for as long as you choose. Jude 19,20, Romans 8, I Cor 14:18 Paul states that,"I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all".
I’m thankful to hear how I am living is what Christ said…all I can think or talk about is His gathering us in the clouds. I have been a Christian since I was 12, I am 73 now. Seven years ago, God gave me an unction to read my Bible more with deep diving into scripture. I discovered the teachings of this Godly servant and was I in for a ride of joyous discovery.

I have just come across Pastor Chuck's and His teachings. I believe that the Lord has been directing me in my progression of my search for His truth. Many many false teachings are coming about these days that, I am shocked and surprised at the disgrace and disrespect being preached in the church in the name of Jesus. Bad. These older ones of long ago rightly divided the word of truth and The correct interpretation of the word. The apostasy in churches is frightening. There are many passages in the bible I came across which puzzled me, I have learnt to move on asking the Lord to open this scripture to me. I am now listening to Pastor Chucks teaching on the bible, and the Lord opened my understanding of those scriptures thru his teachings. I will be buying all his material, because of my fear that google will soon prevent these teaching and Christian teaching as a whole will be barred from the internet, and they have started to do that. My Lord always make a way for His children where there is no way. How can satan dare, think he can override Gods plan? Regarding prayer in groups vs praying alone: I believe that one of the reasons we are encouraged to pray together is as Ron stated; that a problem shared is a problem halved...yet I would take it a step further. God often uses the natural (what you have) to solve problems. When we share our burdens, we increase the number of people who could help to SOLVE the problem in the natural! Our prayers can, however, be effective as individuals too: (James 5:16) "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." When we cast our burdens on the Lord with a heart-felt passion for those we are praying for, and we are standing before Him blameless in our walk...we will pray according to His will and often see results more expediently. Where the problems sneak in is when WE think something SHOULD be God's will...but we don't know the whole story!! Sometimes prayers are answered differently than we expect...but He hears us and wants to do good for us!

I love how he said the rapture could be today or tomorrow! The doctrine of imminence and the pre-Tribulation rapture is crucial to living. Expecting to die or be raptured every day keeps us walking in trust and obedience to Christ commands sharing the gospel and living in holiness. Looking at all the signs even more today than when this was recorded, it could be any day now. They call good evil and evil is called good. We get raptured and then not only do we get to see Jesus, we will be meeting up with Chuck and his wife. Acts 2:17-18 and Amos 3:7-8 God is telling men and women (young and old) to prophesy that Jesus is coming and to stay watching. I agree with Chuck that Revelation 4:1 is the harpazo/rapture. Oddly enough the way I discovered Chuck was back early on after I discovered Christ and I was trying to figure out how to reconcile the whole ”UFO” thing with scripture and surely enough I found Dr. Missler explaining the nephilim and his seminars on this topic put it so succinctly! I think the 5 virgins that did not enter the feast represent christians who missed the rapture for couple reasons. The fact that they were identical to the other 5 and part of the other 5 at the start, both parties had oil, both parties were waiting Christ. I believe that it's a pretty clear indication in the context that they were christians who were left behind.

You're spot on about tongues, may I also add that some churches frown on it ( for various reasons ) and yet 1Corth. 14:39 says not to forbid speaking in tongues. Such a shame and embarrassment that little things like this divide the body.
Of course, but not all tongues are gifts of the Holy Spirit, this is one reason we're to try the spirits. I have heard Holy Spirit gifted tongues on many occasions and questionable tongues as well. The Holy Spirit Himself will testify when the tongues are from Him, either in the Spirit or by a given translation. I myself spoke in tongues soon after being saved, I had no religious background, never heard of speaking in tongues but I couldn't shake the thought that I needed to say things that I didn't understand. I finally did after several days of resisting and immediately came under condemnation ( remember the Spirit convicts, Satan condemns ). I shared this with my youth leader at the Presbyterian church I had started attending and he asked me what I'd said, since it was in a language that I didn't know I could only remember a few words one of which was "Abba". He started laughing and showed me Romans 8:15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." As I continued in my Spiritual growth and reading Scripture I also found Galatians 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father."
There are specifications to be respected. In 14:27-28, Paul provides regulations on how tongues should manifest themselves in the corporate worship service. He writes, “If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret; but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God.” Here are Paul’s rules for speaking in tongues: No one should speak unless an interpreter is present and identified. “He is to be silent” is a command. A tongue speaker can control his gift. The interpreter can be the tongue speaker (cf. 14:13). The reason I add that the interpreter must be identified is that 14:28 says, “If there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church.” Before one speaks in a tongue he must know there is an interpreter, not just hope there is one. Of course, if there is no interpreter present the tongues speaker doesn’t have to stifle his or her gift, he or she simply must use it silently: “let him speak to himself and to God.” God says, “Order in the Church!”
Exactly, and very good since there is not a lot of teaching concerning the correct manifestation. One sure way to identify false tongues is that these guidelines are not met. It is also interesting that in the Old Testament prophets were put to death if their prophecies didn't come about. God gives us the parameters to discern His truth from lies.
.....In a public forum.......but in a person's private prayer life they should do it much...Paul says.."I thank my God I speak in tongues more than you all."......willfully.....he trained himself to silently speak in tongues as often as possible.
I have been in many services where there was tongues and interpretation and not once was an interpreter identified before hand. When the Holy Spirit moves in a service or when you are out ministering it comes spontaneously as the Holy Spirit wills. You can over ride it but you will be quenching the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and will not force you to speak in tongues or interpret. The Holy Spirit wouldn't move on you to speak in tongues and not already have an interpreter. I am speaking here about the gift of tongues. There is tongues for personal edification that you can do at will for as long as you choose. Jude 19,20, Romans 8, I Cor 14:18 Paul states that,"I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all".

I’m thankful to hear how I am living is what Christ said…all I can think or talk about is His gathering us in the clouds. I have been a Christian since I was 12, I am 73 now. Seven years ago, God gave me an unction to read my Bible more with deep diving into scripture. I discovered the teachings of this Godly servant and was I in for a ride of joyous discovery.

Love Chuck. He was one of the greatest bible teacher. He passed away the same year as my husband. I bet Ron misses him tremendously. Ron displayed a lot of patience as Chuck interrupted him a lot although Chuck was the leader. I would like to know why Chuck moved his ministry to New Zealand?
Chuck moved his headquarters to NZ because he wanted to expand the ministry into other parts of the world.
I have just come across Pastor Chuck's and His teachings. I believe that the Lord has been directing me in my progression of my search for His truth. Many many false teachings are coming about these days that, I am shocked and surprised at the disgrace and disrespect being preached in the church in the name of Jesus. Bad. These older ones of long ago rightly divided the word of truth and The correct interpretation of the word. The apostasy in churches is frightening. There are many passages in the bible I came across which puzzled me, I have learnt to move on asking the Lord to open this scripture to me. I am now listening to Pastor Chucks teaching on the bible, and the Lord opened my understanding of those scriptures thru his teachings. I will be buying all his material, because of my fear that google will soon prevent these teaching and Christian teaching as a whole will be barred from the internet, and they have started to do that. My Lord always make a way for His children where there is no way. How can satan dare, think he can override Gods plan? Pastor Chuck thank you and thank you again for your obedience, and I bless the Holy Spirit, and His anointing over your life to do His Will and obey His commandment. To God be the Glory. Amen. Regarding prayer in groups vs praying alone: I believe that one of the reasons we are encouraged to pray together is as Ron stated; that a problem shared is a problem halved...yet I would take it a step further. God often uses the natural (what you have) to solve problems. When we share our burdens, we increase the number of people who could help to SOLVE the problem in the natural! Our prayers can, however, be effective as individuals too: (James 5:16) "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." When we cast our burdens on the Lord with a heart-felt passion for those we are praying for, and we are standing before Him blameless in our walk...we will pray according to His will and often see results more expediently. Where the problems sneak in is when WE think something SHOULD be God's will...but we don't know the whole story!! Sometimes prayers are answered differently than we expect...but He hears us and wants to do good for us!

I love how he said the rapture could be today or tomorrow! The doctrine of imminence and the pre-Tribulation rapture is crucial to living. Expecting to die or be raptured every day keeps us walking in trust and obedience to Christ commands sharing the gospel and living in holiness. Looking at all the signs even more today than when this was recorded, it could be any day now. They call good evil and evil is called good. We get raptured and then not only do we get to see Jesus, we will be meeting up with Chuck and his wife. Acts 2:17-18 and Amos 3:7-8 God is telling men and women (young and old) to prophesy that Jesus is coming and to stay watching. I agree with Chuck that Revelation 4:1 is the harpazo/rapture. He shared what he learned with all who would listen. Try to thank our precious Lord for the time we had Chuck here instead of wanting more. Be humbly grateful not grumble. I learned so much from Hal Lindsey and Chuck Missler I have already watched Chuck Missler learn the Bible in 24 hours I'm on my second time watching it but how Lindsay I watch on TV all the time also and videos love you both so so much you have taught me more about the Bible than I have learned by reading it three times.
