That seems about right if your living strictly on your savings with no other forms of income for example social security even a 2000/month social security payment is the equivalent of $600,000 saved up if your doing thr 4% rule so you could have a lot less considering other income

drew do you think the market is in a bubble and will burst soon?

      Good question

Everyone thinks it’s a bubble. Market was down around 20 percent in 2022, up around 20 percent in 2023 and up 10 percent so far this year. So in 2 years and 3 months we have a 10 percent return. Though last 5 years S&P up over 14% a year. Good question indeed.

Small caps are 10% off their high from 2 years ago and international is far from a bubble
      Value isn't that expensive either

Anyone over $1M can retire unless expenses are ridiculous. Please do videos for the majority of people. Rich people do not interest me.....

"Rich" or well off families are considered to be those with 2.2M in assets. Most people watching videos like this will be near or well over 1M by the time they reach retirement. A small percentage of viewers, which is also the majority of people in the USA, will not have much at all saved, and will definitely need Social Security and will not retiring early. So why show that?

Probably, but depends on your age! Can a 50 year old retire with $1M and last 35-40 years?? Much for likely and doable at 60, I would think.

@@daveharness70 Unfortunately, $2.2m is nowhere near "rich".
