If you're in the UFC where only the best fight the best then yes, 18-4 is a very impressive record to retire with. But this guy was only fighting bums in lesser organisations so having 4 losses probably means he wasn't that great
@serrobertstrong1377 wow imagine being that much of a bum that you gotta say 18-4 fighting 'cans' is not that impressive. What have you done so far in your fighting career? Let's pull up your record then big boy
@@spyro9087 There's a reason why all the great fighters coming from lesser organisations are always undefeated. I'm not saying this guy was a bad fighter. Just that he wasn't great and on the same level as top 5 guys in the UFC. Also, I don't do MMA but I've practiced martial arts my entire life. I have a judo black belt with a very decent resume and I was a local kickboxing champ. I probably know more about what it's like to fight than you. What's your history with fighting? Eating sheetos on the coach while watching the UFC?
Thats not a guy that "was a promising mma fighter" thats a guy that had a good mma career, sure hes not a hall of famer but hes acomplished more than most
Now theres a name i havent heard in a long time. Happened to see him fight live at the Fedor vs Rogers Strikeforce card. But he was a familiar face of the WSOF days
Luis "handgunz" Taylor was a very interesting fighter with a great story to tell. I wish he got his flowers, legit one of the best middleweights of his generation
Let make it way more clear since he didn’t want to, this man starched abus magomedov for the 1 mil the same guy on a fucking losing streak in the ufc rn. Dana white can be a joke sometimes when i see who he signs over other fighters at time
One of the most legit coaches in mma rn. I hope he gets all the success in the world and ends up being another Abdulmanap or something close to that at least.
Wouldn’t have said it was unfair that he didn’t make it to UFC… you had a chance which is more than most fighters get, but you was unfortunate and was injured… you can’t expect them to come flying back when your recovered…. I’ve grown up to realise life isn’t fair
What do you mean they didn’t give him a chance he pulled out of a short notice fight with a decent “big” name in Uriah Hall! DESPITE not making the show and DESPITE his age. You get one chance with the UFC much of the time according to fighters AND Dana so… 🤷♂️
I watched Put the Guns Down tap out Phil Hawes at WSOF 32. Dude was a savage. It actually reminded me that I've seen Hawes fight live. Headliner that night was Marlon Moraes. WSOF was solid and I wish it went on longer, but PFL is more different from UFC than WSOF was.
and this is where Belal got wearing shades in the octagon from. no personality whatsoever lmfao that was literally the only thing unique about him and now even that's gone for me. 😭
Winning a PFL belt at 39 and making your former high school student a UFC champ. Full circle moment.
Nah fr at 39 became a millionaire never give up follow your dreams no matter what age
@@CarloshernandezmmaBecame a millionaire? Huh?
@nwbklr PFL used to hold tournaments for each weight class, and the winner of the tournament received $1 Million!

@pakusastunt5885 a sum total of Million $ in assets.
What you are thinking of is a Multimillionaire.
18-4-1 is a pretty damn good fight record to retire on
On top of being a champ with a million +... good notes
Doesn't sound like he wanted to retire...

solid career
It really is👏
fax, full circle wholesome af and he got that million dollar one championship check 🤟
Fr I would say maybe even more than solid specially at his age 😊
more than solid I'd say, great career. Not a lot of fighters that can have that record and retire as a winner
yeah I was gonna say that record isn't bad.
Thats not a guy that "was a promising mma fighter" thats a guy that had a good mma career, sure hes not a hall of famer but hes acomplished more than most

yeah actually 😭 at least bro is a learner 🖤
@@alexthejew420call him task master the way he takes styles 😂
Well he made more money that he would ever make in the ufc....so he is good in the end.
@EasyMode-x2v well I'm sure that 1M wasn't easy either
@EasyMode-x2v because if they don't win the entire tournament they'll make less money in PFL.
@EasyMode-x2v some fighters want that UFC exposure so they can try moving on to acting, podcasting, or coaching
@EasyMode-x2vyou have to win the tournament to get 1Mil, it's not easy
@EasyMode-x2vhow is it not real, only problem is that one person gets it. But fight for fight they make just as much if not more than ufc

That’s actually a good record, 18 - 4

Dude I’m 27 and just now turning pro and it kinda scares me ngl!!
@@biimedicalsupplies9304 Go get it baby!!!!!! 💪🏾
Dana calls fighters of 32 years old and + "kid" btw
He got the bag tho. Those pfl wsof winnings are different 💰
I’m addicted to MMA and I’ll be honest I never heard of him but clearly he was gifted enough to be 18-4. That’s a solid record.
Million bucks and a champ. He ain't mad
Him getting rejected from the UFC definitely saved him in the long run.
Hitting top level tournaments at 39 is insane.
He TKO'd Abus Magomedov in his last fight to win the tournament
He had a sick guillotine choke too
Luis "handgunz" Taylor was a very interesting fighter with a great story to tell. I wish he got his flowers, legit one of the best middleweights of his generation
every dude from belal’s gym is cooler than him 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Very good record and my man got paid
His career itself with the PFL tourney win was solid enough but he can add coaching a champion to the resume, good for him
Damn thats crazy. What a great record for starting at 28.
Followed his story throughout the tournament. It felt really great for Louis to win, and it was a significant upset at the time.
learned something new today

Hall of fame embodiment.. definitely up there with Hughes 🎉
Dude is like 20-4 thats an amazing record and he’s a pioneer and great coach
18-4* i guess, point stands
It’s on my bucket list to have one amateur MMA fight. I’m 30 rn 😂
18 and 4 is crazy good
He had a very good fighting career
He beat Abus Magomedov for the PFL title, the guy Sean Strickland broke in a round.
Tbf it's still a good win, Abus has only lost to elite opponents
Sean lost the first round to abus
Bet he didn't get paid as much
he beat him for a million dollars, sean beat him for a coca cola and some chips
Abus was different in the PFL, I am convinced he was geared up. Plus, Taylor beat him in 30 seconds.
Chicago legend
Dude was legit scary one of those guys you really dont want to fight
Good record 👌
18-4-1 and winning PFL is a pretty great career I would say, and that’s without mentioning coaching a current UFC champ
Its 100 percent because of his age. They even hate taking 30 year olds. Sucks
It’s crazy. He’s made more fighting than belal😂. PFL be paying good
Bro knocked out abus in to abyss
Scary power
Damn what a career
Pretty good career
Probably would have beat Hall too, that’s a shame.
What a badass
Revenge is a dish served cold
Everything is not fair for mr belal dude is such a sympathizer
He knocked out Abus Magomedov when he won the pfl title
He’s the 40 yr old that KO’d Abus lol that’s crazy
Badass dude

Louis Taylor is the type of guy to to get Snubbed from the ultimate fighter so Tony Ferguson could win.
It’s a shame he didn’t have the experience of CM punk, because he would have had a chance in the UFC.
