Microtech is known for their exceptional OTF (out the front) knives and precision engineering. It's no secret that we are huge Microtech fans at The Clip Point. However, the Exocet has a very specific use for an everyday carry knife.

Just bought one of these for my girlfriend, tanto bronze finish. It’s great, love the quality and the stealthy size. This is her first and only OTF, she loves it cause she can keep it in her purse and people never know what it is until they threaten her somehow
I got the microtech exocet all black. And weight doesn't bother me at all.... If you seen my edc set up you would knnnnnnoooooooowwwwwwww I am prepared. But I also do allot of endurance workouts plus I am a brown belt in jiu jitsu. I also wear a bullet proof vest every day. Even at work. A little weight doesn't hurt me, just makes ya stronger. But hey! To each their own!

Broke the first MT rule. Just bought the bounty hunter exocet as my first one. Hahaha
I just purchased it as my first otf but in the bounty hunter series. I don't need a blade length over 2.5in generally speaking I just open packages or toys for my kids so for me its good enough but coolness factor can't beat it.
I just got one of these as my first OTF. Being in CA, I have limited choices. I like it because the grip is a bit bigger than the other ones I saw.

I want one as a shorts or lounging around the house tool as I'm allways wittleing and or just fidgeting.so while I save up for a real one and to make sure I will like it I got a clone from a friend coming next week to try out.I figure it would go well as a casual knife beside my edc utx 85 and/or BM crooked river.

I like y’all’s video its informative and entertaining . My wife got me my first otf a few days ago and its a money clip knife as well . I really love it for mainly the clicking in and out but also the low pro carry .

Great review, I have some of that oil and it's amazing. I was on a trip out of town running my R/C and had a bearing starting to go bad a couple drops noise went away bearing started running smoother actually still running the bearing and it has been couple months now

HELP!!!
I’m about to get a stormtrooper Exocet but can’t decide which I like better the dagger or the tanto. Is one of them harder find than the other I just don’t know which one I want they both look awesome.
That's a good problem to have! It really depends on your preference. A dagger really only has one purpose, and not much everyday capability. The tanto is more EDC capable and useable. Personally, we'd go tanto. However, it's ultimately your decision.

@@TheClipPoint I'm a big knife guy. I even got my wife into knives as well. I teach wilderness survival merit badge to the Boy Scouts in my area.

@@TheClipPoint I prefer them to use either a swiss army style knife for the younger ones. And a Morakniv if there closer to 18. Depending on when they take my course. Some wait till last min. Wilderness survival merit badge is a badge they need to make Eagle Scout.

I had a benchmade for probably 10 years or more. It recently got stolen. Just wondering what you'd recommend for every day carry, sharp and can handle everything? Down side is I don't have much $.

SOG stands for "Studies & Observations Group" *not* "Special Forces Operations Group" .. I highly recommend you read some books by author John Plaster about his time in MACV-SOG. ( Military Assistance Command Vietnam, Studies and Observations Group ). One of the most wicked special ops units ever.
Hey Doe Jon! Thanks for your comment. I'm very much aware that SOG stands for Studies & Observations Group. I tripped up on a word and said Special Observations Group at 02:11 in the video. I've actually read several books on MACV-SOG including Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, and a few from John Stryker Meyer. I've admired those men for a good while, and had the pleasure of shaking a few of their hands while enlisted.
