Same here. I love some rides, but that’s probably because I’ve seen ride-thrus. I know this is most definitely the case with Splash Mountain.

I know ppl miss Maelstrom (I'm one of them), but you have to admit this is a fun little ride with some great animatronics.
i was just comparing this to the Maelstorm. they made frozen longer by getting rid of the theater and not making you go up the lift in the beginning.
Yes, I also loved Maelstrom. But I do enjoy this ride and it was definitely a great change for the general public. Also, kids probably didn’t like Maelstrom that much lol
lol, I was looking at this goin...the boat & the slides and the boat switching lanes reminds me of...wait...didn't Maelstrom close for something? Then I looked it up & boom! It all comes back to me. lol
Just watching my daughter get excited while on this ride made me smile.
I loved the Maelstrom growing up, but I understand the need for change and this ride is really beautiful. It was well done.
This Frozen ride is BEAUTIFUL! It’s so aesthetically pleasing and the animatronics look so REAL and alive! It’s like being right in the movie. I’m taking a trip to WDW and this ride is definitely going to be on my list! ❄️
The one in Hong Kong Disney is much better

The Backwards and then forwards drops together just help make this ride really good

This is one of those rides where I enjoy the queue more than the ride itself. Love it!
This was fun. I think you do an awesome job of sharing full ride experiences. People who are wanting to give a preview of what rides are like to their kids (or anybody) should definitely check them out. Plus, those who already know can enjoy the magic at home as we continue to do. Thanks for sharing.

Even though I miss Maelstrom (including the movie) this is how an overlay should be done. They actually lengthened the ride and made the queue feel like a little town. In an era where an overlay commonly means shortening a ride this is great. Thanks for the video!
Oh yeah. My only complaint would be sealing up the hole that lets you look at the boats from outside. That wouldn’t take away from the “immersion” enough to worry about. Oh well.
Yes, I do think changing Maelstrom to Frozen was the better move for sure, even though I still prefer Maelstrom. They did a great job with the retheming overall but as you said, sealing up that hole wasn’t necessary at all. That was so unique. Thanks for watching as always 😃

me and my family rode this ride when we were at epcot and it was so fun! the drops aren’t bad at all the ‘big drop’ is a slope- and it’s not scary, it’s actually super refreshing! there is a chance of getting wet though, so if you don’t want to get wet i reccommend sitting in the middle

I went to Disney World a few months ago with my sister, and, as a Disney fan who LOVES Frozen, this ride is pure beauty!
I been to Disney world it was so much fun I went on this ride and went to the guardians of Galaxy it was so fun too!(best day ever)!!!!!!!!😊

Kind of tearing in my eyes right now,I was kicked out of my daughter's life over a year ago my her mother who was so being evil,this is my daughter's favorite movie and I had the privilege to take her on her first trip to Disney world in 2018 when she was seven and we went on this ride twice. Such won memories in my mind that photographs cannot project.

Totally love Frozen Ever After! I’m glad I was able to experience Maelstrom a few times before it was re-themed. I love both versions! I imagine you got a little wet in the front row to get a great POV!💧🤣

Having played the same ride in HK weeks ago, I would same the ride in epcot looks gentler than the one in HK. But the one in epcot looks wonderful too. Btw, we do have safety bars in HK.🤣🤣🤣
They did make this very magical but I'm always gonna be a malestrom fan. The one thing that bugs me about this ride other than that is that the drops have no context. Drops should convey danger not just be randomly there

昨日、人生で初めて香港で乗ってきました。いつかアメリカ版も乗りたい！（そしてもちろん、東京ディズニーシーにできた、最新のFrozenライドもとても楽しみです）
Tbh in my opinion they should have left the open hole water fall, I think it would look insanely cool cuz the boat looks like it’s about to fall back but then goes forward again. I know it would take away some of the darkness of the ride but still I miss seeing guests on the water fwll

I remember going on this ride for the first time and I was scared of the animatronics . . .
If they manage to retheme splash mountain better than this retheme, I will be SO happy
how big is the drop? it says no height requirement but would you recommend for a 2 and a half year old?
The drop isn’t that bad at all. It’s like the Pirates of the Caribbean drop, but less intense. I actually do know someone who has a 2 year old as well and took her on it, and she enjoyed it

Oh no, nothing like that! There is one small drop towards the end of the ride, but it’s nothing scary or intense

One small drop and a medium drop. The drops aren’t like the drop at the beginning of Pirates.

I love Frozen Ever After but in the Magic Kingdom not in Epcot. Maelstrom should be in Epcot and this Magic Kingdom.

Nooo! Don’t let the drops stop you from going on this beautiful ride! Go for it! I absolutely hate roller coasters and drops to the point where I’ll start having a whole entire tantrum in line for one, but I love this ride to death. You can’t even really feel the drops to be honest. Just try it out

I have really bad ride anxiety and anything can set it off. I thought the boat just went backwards I didn’t realize it goes DOWN and backwards. It doesn’t look too bad though is it?
You'll feel much better after the drop, the adrenaline rush is sensational.
Do you get really soaked or just your upper body gets a little wet?
Normally you just get a little wet but if you sit in the front row, you get the most wet

its different actually, the first room is different, theres 1 less drop, and the final drop is steeper, etc (i have a vid if u wanna see the differences its in my channel)

Why did I see no different between both Olaf models? Who did it earliest. Search that first. Who had the original prototype in 2016 before Japan basically stole the idea.

Basically maelstrom with the visuals replaced. Kind of disappointing they use so much animation now and not the old school animatronics such as It’s a Small World.

Yes, I do enjoy this ride now but I’ll admit that I prefer Maelstrom. But the change to Frozen was definitely a great change for the general public! Yea, it is extremely sad what’s going on. I love Frozen, but that was an auditory onslaught of noise and overlapping chaos. To wait in line for that long just have your ears assaulted for several minutes just doesn't seem worth it.
Not doing a thumbs down on the video, that was pretty good. I'm just thumbs downing on the whole ride I am a senior citizen and I have fallen in love with this movie and seen it over a hundred times but the ride and again I have not been up there to see it but from what I see of the videos taken it seems like a big disappointment. I am not I repeat not a fan of Olaf and the first thing you see is Olaf and spin then the next scene cuts to kristoff's family then the next scene is Olaf dancing around singing a song that I don't recognize I think that's the area and then they come to just Anna and kristoff singing with spin over in the corner I do love the part for the boat goes up to Elsa singing and how it goes backwards so fast and then you can see when it's turning. But the ending is what really gets to me all it is is once again Olaf and then you've got Anna and Elsa standing there holding hands in some kind of a weird outfit and singing again a song I Don't know. Did I sleep those hundred times I watched the movie and did not hear some of these songs?? There was too much blank space and not enough filled with the characters it seemed like the main focus was Olaf and again not being a fan I was disappointed in the videos that I have seen. But again love Disney world and love the movie just not that excited about the ride. I remember the old ride they had there 20 years ago and that was very good

I honestly hate frozen, but I’m debating on going on this as it looks pretty nice. It’s just stupid let it go that ruins it for me, I gotta watch the movie again at some point, to see if I’ll change my mind. Maelstrom was still better though, even if I never got to ride it.
