Are you building or upgrading anything for Black Friday? Playing great games? What did you think of the builds? Tell your story in a new comment below!
I upgraded my HDD storage on the pre BF sales. Have been thinking to add a 4tb nvme gen4 but I have enough storage so am not sure. Am waiting on white DDR5 32gb to arrive for Mom's 12400F build.
Hi jason,
i was looking back thru your cooler best cooler videos. which would you suggest between (cheapest to most expensive, may use on a ryzen 5700x, 5800x3d or intel 12600, depending on sales)
Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE
Amazon Basics Computer Cooling Fan or the
ID-COOLING SE-224-XTS (27 euro)
or wait for black friday sales.
thank you very much
They are plug and play! There are none that match price to performance. You must not have one.
Hi Jason, I want to build myself a new, high end gaming PC for Christmas, The Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU, and rx7900 GPU are a must for me. I already have a 2TB SSD. I would appreciate any advice for products to keep the rest of the build as cheap as possible. I live in Australia, thanks mate!
@@darrenmoore-mj2zq is the RX 7900 GPU the 7900XT or 7900XTX? Once I know I can try and make a build for you.
I genuinely believe that boost your build videos are some of the most digestible and accurate sources of information for getting GOOD deals on building a PC. Tips for almost every budget in this playlist makes it so helpful to the community. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! It truly means a lot to me
Yup, can't believe this amount of information is free :O
@@evilleader1991 I paid for it
On the flip side of the "Boost my Build" series, I'd love to see a "Roast my Rig" series. Tear apart the builds of us "experienced" builders that think we have an idea of what we're doing.
I’d reckon I’d get told off for my a520i paired with a 5600 and a 6950xt 😂
I just couldn’t justify the extra £100 at the time for a b series.
Hey Jason, these are my favorite videos. I can’t wait until you post these. It’s very enjoyable. EK 360 AIO is on sale for $99 also. I had one on a 5800x3d and it was great. Again ty for all that you do for the tech community. It’s greatly appreciated.
Thank you and thanks for the tip!
i’m thinking about upgrading my old 3600 to a 5800x3d. would you say it’s worth it?
@@prefaps100%. I wish I still had mine. I don’t think it was worth the platform upgrade in my opinion. I didn’t gain that much more fps jumping to 7800x3d and the 5800x3d was much easier to cool. But going from 6 cores to 8 will be a nice improvement.
Hey Jason just found your channel while looking for PC advice on the youtube for building my first PC and all i can say is THANK YOU for making it not so compicated sounding and daunting to start a build for the first time! Great channel, great advice and thanks again sir!
@matthewzavala6491 I haven't built yet, however I've made better choices on the parts I have collected so far than I think would have without all of the videos I've watched here. As far as I can see the toughest part is installing the cpu into the motherboard at least that is the part that's making me the most nervous! 🤣😂
Most important thing is: Be patient. Take a lot of time to read the instructions. Better do it slow than fast. And don t panic if it doesnt work. @@matthewzavala6491
Not sure where you are at, but if you have a Microcenter not far from you. I would seriously go looking there. Plenty of combo savings one could have. Usually buying motherboard with CPU will snag you 25 dollar minimum off, sometimes it goes up 50. All depends on combo itself.
@@matthewzavala6491 I feel like we got this friend!
@christopherp.1391 unfortunately I live in canada and there's no MC here😭, few smaller stores here and one has its warehouse faily close to by that I'll likley order the rest of my parts from but they want an obscene amount to build it for me so I may build it myself I've got a fairly dust and static free room in my house I can use and some steady hands. I appreciate the advice my friend!
Love this series. Honestly thinking about what we need next as a household, maybe a 4K monitor once they go on sale. Or I could just crank up the text zoom for my elderly mother, think she will still need cataract surgery regardless. I'm good with my gaming and media pcs. I love my 7900XTX but it's likely overkill, a lot of people could probably go 7800XT (now that they exist).
man really really love it!! u puts in the energy in those boost my builds as if it is ur last day (god forbid). like its really really important to u that they get the best parts possible and squeeze the very last bit of performance out of the cash!!
haha thank you! I do love what I do (;
I built my first pc almost a year ago and I've upgraded every component with your help along the way. Thanks a ton Jason!
So glad we could help!!
This is one of the best "in the mind of a PC Builder" videos i have ever watched. Instantly subbed to this channel. Keep these coming!!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed and welcome to the channel!
Thanks for your help! I’ve watched so many videos from various UA-cam channels trying to learn about all this .
We've got a ton of them on the channel. Check out the how to build a PC video playlist.
Good luck man, I know it can be intimidating at the beginning! I’m sure your son will love his pc!
Another informative and fun video, Jason! It's that time of year where the deals and sales (Black Friday; Cyber Monday) are coming fast and furious e.g. Prime Day. So, if you're itching to upgrade, or do a full build... Now is the time to do it. I snagged a 6800XT last year for $530 + a MSI 850W Modular PSU for $140. Yes, prices have come down a lot on both of those, but that's my point. At the time, those were very good prices coming off the GPU Apocalypse/Crypto crash, and Cyber Monday, only made it better. Keep up the fantastic work, and give Mr. Bear some scritches for me!
Nice! Glad you got what you needed at a good price last year. Fingers crossed for good prices this year too! Mr. Bear says hi
@@PCBuilderChannel I'm probably going to upgrade to a new CPU and mobo this year since I have everything else. That's why I always comment, I appreciate how you go in-depth with the individual parts when boosting a build. Hope Mr. Bear enjoys Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, this year, heh!
If you can spare the cash, the 7800x3d is the absolute best value cpu out there, and you don't even "need" an AIO to cool it that's the best part, a thermalright Peerless Assassin for 40 bucks will do an insane job @@PLAYER_42069
BOOST MY BUILD!!! Coming in strong to get me through these hard times - thank you Jason your channel really lights up my day 💖
So glad you enjoyed!! Thanks for watching
Love what you did on that last build. Good stuff.
Would be curious what you suggest for a NAS build.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I just built my first PC a month ago and your videos were such a huge help, and I love catching up with your channel on my days off to see all of the awesome content you post! Tell your cat I said hi!
Thank you, love to hear it! Congrats on your first build, so happy that you found the videos so helpful. Hope you continue to enjoy all the new content!
Thanks Jason, I have enjoyed your content for a while now and I have been considering an upgrade with black friday coming up. I have a 12700f, RX7900 XT system with DDR4 3200 CL16 memory and wasn't sure if going up to DD5 while keeping the 12700f was worth doing. Now I know that it isn't worth the $$.
cpu bottleneck, u can go right up to 7800x3d
Excellent video very very helpful. I learned a lot today thanks for your hard work. I joined your members program so I could watch tomorrow :)
Thanks so much for becoming a member Rand!
Just bought the 950$ build thank you so much for your help! Usually I go higher like 2.5k or more but after watching your vids I wanted to wait till they redo this gen vcards and hopefully in 3yrs or more the next gen will be out then I will come back to watch a vid on your 4k builds! Also went with the HP monitor originally 429$ I got it for 300 at best buy!!!! You are flipping awesome much love thanks! 🎉😮
So glad we could help! Let me know how your new setup works out!
Love it!!!! Always pick up something new with your videos. Thanks!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
This is my favorite series but besides the format and content, the intro is what I look forward to most. Cracks me up every time
haha! I'm glad its fun, I have fun with it (;
The moment i saw the 7700X and the 7800XT in a 2k build when im sitting with a 7800X3D and 7800XT in a 1400 build i knew there were big issues
I love this video! This series is always great
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching
Just upgraded from AM4 to AM5 with R5 7600X on a B650 Tomahawk WiFi, pretty much the most reasonable MB I could get my hands on with all the features I wanted and went with an NZXT 360 AiO for cooling, wanted to keep my CPU as cool as possible. Currently using an RX 6800 that I bought on sale 6-7 months ago. Planning on waiting for RX 8000 series before upgrading the GPU again. Going to be playing Starfield as soon as I can find the time to play.
Hey love this series. Hope all goes well with your future videos
Thank you! And thanks for watching
Best series ever. I love your energy in the videos. Always so positive I just love it man!

"Cat says hi" LOL.. also 13:45, I thought someone broke you. haha
Hi Jason, folllowed the exact build for the budget 1440p build. Does the motherboard support RGB because I couldn't find any slots to connect it whilst building
This concept is amazing, hope you can make more videos like this. I subscribe
Thank you! We do two episodes of this series every month. Thanks for the sub and hope you keep enjoying!
This is top tier content for anyone looking to build a new PC, like myself. Thank you!
I have a question about the game dev build, as my PC build is primarily for game dev but I'd like to game on it as well. Have you seen any of the Puget Systems benchmarks specifically for Unreal Engine? They found that NVIDIA GPUs perform much better with Unreal Engine than comparable AMD GPUs. Would that information change your opinion on going with the 7900 XTX over maybe a RTX 4080 or 3090?
Also, would it be wise to go for 64 GB of RAM for a build that is designed primarily for game dev and Unreal Engine?
Another great video as always. Building my first desktop in a looooong time... And would love your opinion.
Between a 7700xt at 465 euro or a 7800xt at 570 euro what would you chose to pair with a ryzen 5 7600?
Hey Jason love this Playlist do you by chance ever get pics or videos of the people's builds you boost that would be great content to see updates on all the builds you have boosted thats my opinion but ether way love your channel thanks for sharing
People often report in after they build but I haven’t been collecting it. Its a nice idea (:
Hey, just here to say “thanks” . I finished my building and this channel helped me a lot! Will be back in a few years 🎉
That's awesome! Congrats on your build and so glad we could help. Show off a build pic if you like on twitter/threads @pcbuilderjason
Hi! Thank you for the informative video from September 17th. I was able to get a nice gaming PC that fits my needs as well that's within my budget. And I learned something about graphics cards. I almost purchased a PC with a graphics card with 8 gig, but I got that Skytech Shiva that you recommended with the 12 gig card. Thanks again! 😊
So glad we could help!!
Hi Jason. I love watching you boost my build videos. The thing is, I don’t have knowledge or nerves to build a computer. I know that there are tons of UA-cam videos on how it’s done. I think it’s the little things that are skipped over that scare the living daylights out of me. However, I do think that there is hope for me and when this rtx2080 I’m super I’m rocking just can’t cut it anymore, I’m going to go for it.
You got this! And check out our "how to build a pc" video for more!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Will do.
Hey jason i love your vids btw! I'm planning on building my first PC this month and i need some help choosing between these two mobo, ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II or GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC? And thank you! I've learned a lot from you c:
Built my first ever PC 3 Months ago. All thanks to your dedicated work in helping people choose there parts. Thanks so much!!!
Congrats on your build!! So glad we could help
funny enough i just bought the 7700x and that same exact asus strix board together (going with a white theme for my new build), got the newegg combo with those 2 to shave off 65 dollars from the pair's cost, plus the 7700x was including a free 1tb ssd. I'd say that honestly makes it a worthwhile cheaper choice over the 7800x3d right now. I would've got the nice asrock b650 board thats selling for 125 but it didn't include a combo deal so rip. Prob the best early black friday deal i can find for a ryzen setup. Going to wait till the week of black friday before i buy the rest of my parts.
Hey Jason, are you experienced with VR gaming PCs? Been considering it but I'd need an upgrade and realized I haven't heard you mention it before.
Hi Jason! What do you think about making a PC build with an RX 5700 XT either used or new for 1080p overkill or decent 1440p performance? I saw it's around 150 USD and it is relative to the RX 6600.
Do you think you could make a budget 400-500 USD build with that?
Hey Jason, another awesome Boost my build video. Funny and ironic, I asked what you thought about the Asus mobo in your previous video about PSU's. I guess this video answers the question since you used it on here. 😂 Its down to $199 on Newegg.

Thank you so much Jason you honestly opened my eyes i thought i knew what to get but now i see i was wrong and i got 7900xtx hooly!! P.S. Yea sorry im a bit of Asus fanboy😬
Well i have the asus tuf xtx. It runs great so thats cool
Thank you for sending in your list!! So glad we could help and best wishes on your build!!
I'm considering getting a few new fans for my pc. One case fan has started sounding slightly grindy, and I could go with a better cooler fan as the current one has trouble cooling my cpu silently when playing BG3 (act 3)
I dont have a pc, nor money to buy one, but I'm hoping I can build one someday. I'am enjoying watching youtube pc building/tech channels lately, and Jason's "boost my build" series is my fav. one! Keep what you are doing Sir! Youre doin' a great job!

Hi PC Builder,
At the moment I have a:
b450 motherboard,
16GB RAM 3000MHz CL16 and an RX 5700 XT.
I am looking at a CPU, 5600x,5700x,5800x.
Which one do you recommend and would you upgrade anything else besides the CPU?
I don't have a CPU at all at the moment.
Kind regards, Jansen
I just rebuild my PC on Montech Sky Two. Absolutely beautiful case. With free x4 aRGB fan and builtin fanhub. My only complain with it is the back side is not very spacious for cable management. Overall its a great case for budget builders..
Hi I upgraded my old PC from a 2600 to a 5600X
I'm on a B450 F Gaming
The next step in performance would be the GPU ?
Does the 6700XT 12GB fit on the B450?
hey i just wanted to know is it possible for gpu to be incompatible even its pci-e slot matches? also power supply is there
Question: Would the Wraith Cooler on the $1000 build be sufficient? If so, you could drop the Deepcool and give you $80 to play with?
cheeeeeeeeeers!!! FINALLY GOING TO MICROCENTER TO FINISH MY SHOPPING! and these reviews nad all the video have helped soooo muc hahahah` only thing i dont know about is the WILD casde options, so i have a lot of display viewing to do when i get there and worst case atleast a case can be bought after cc hecking measurments, online~ but ill have everything else so ITS ALMOST TIME HAHAHA am5 ftw

Hey Jason, would you Recommend this PSU: AZZA PSAZ-750G 750 W ATX 80 ?? Thanks
would you still recommend the zalman s2?
I see now this is pretty cool thank you;
Glad you are enjoying!
Question. I don't have a typical setup. I run triple 32" @ 2K with 144Hz monitors. I mostly play iracing and want to calculate out the best card being I'm limited to 144HZ @ 2K and want to run the game on higher settings. I'm building a new PC choosing the 78003dx and happy with components ,but lost on the video card. I'm not sure a 4080 or the soon to be out 4080 Super will be enough. Anything much over 144Hz will be a waste, but my need the 4090 to accomplish it. How do you calculate what I need? It may be more or less. Any input? So few people run triples that game compared to others using a single lager monitor. Love the channel
Hey Jason is there a site that buys back used and or unopened pc components like; GPUs, Coolers, and Ram? Not sites like ebay or craigslist. Thx!
hello Jason, i would like to ask if there is any case at all where you would choose nvidia cards over radeon , cause the way am seeing you will always go with radeon as performance /moneywise is a better option?doesn t perform better an nvidia card with DLSS/DLAA 3 nowdays?
I go Nvidia when the build goal is production based and the builder is going to use programs that are more optimized with Nvidia, Adobe Premier for instance. See our Best GPU for Gaming 2023 for lots more on this
Heya! Love your videos *and* the cat, they're very informative. I'm going to a college here in the Philippines soon, and am planning to build a decent desktop PC which I hope to even remote access using a cheap laptop. My budget is about 60K Php, which is usually about 1050 USD. I'm hoping to also get two monitors and a quality mechanical keyboard to match up with my current mouse. With plans to be either a game development or computer engineering student I hope to be prepared for whatever I might need to do within the next 4-5 years.
I've extracted a number of old parts from my previous HP Envy desktop from 2014. I'd prefer with, but don't mind using a motherboard without WiFi because I have a spare ASUS WiFi card from my old desktop. I even have two extra Foxconn fans, one 80mm and the other 120mm, not to mention a pretty sweet optic drive (probably not needed, but I like being prepared for whatever may happen.)
Prices here may be different from prices in the US. I can get a three-pack of those Arctic P12s for only 18 USD from Lazada. On the contrary, the Ryzen 5600 is a little more expensive here, coming at 134.53 USD. Feel free to ignore these differences.
I really can't decide between an Arc A750 and the cheaper (and less power-hungry) RX 6600. There's a big chance I'm getting more than I actually need for some parts, and I feel like I didn't make the best choice on others. I still haven't found a good minimalist case that perfectly fits this build. Please help!

How does everyone know English so well as a second language? I can’t learn Spanish for shit lol
Anyways Id go with the 6600 over the 750 bc I play a lot of older games but if you don’t the 750 makes sense
@@laynemccormic9102 Exposure at a young age, basically. I used to watch Nick Jr a lot so I was exposed to stuff like Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, as well as Dora the Explorer (so I know abysmally little Spanish. lol.) Then at grade school there were entire sessions dedicated to typing practice and reading classic English comics. They were quite good.
Besides that I do also play a lot of older games, I'm big into emulation.
Would the phanteks be good for a 4070 ti?
Hey jason, wanna ask if i want to play some triple A title games with the rx 6700xt, should i go with 16gb of rams or 32gb of ram (ddr4)?
If you’re just gaming 16 should be fine
Do gpu’s need all 16 lanes or is it ok to share them with an nvme in the m.2 slot at 8x for those motherboards that do that?
No, I have a 6950xt (16lanes) paired with an a520i gen 3 (8lanes)
Watching plenty of yt vids it makes no difference to fps.
I recently have found your videos, and like how you are explaining things. I currently have a Ryzen 7 3800X on an ASUS X570 prime MoBo. I have 32GB of 2666 DDR4 RAM and a MSI RTX 2080Ti. I have a EVGA 1200W platinum PSU powering the whole rig. I was thinking of spending some money on an upgrade for the system, like perhaps a 5000 series CPU and or better RAM like some 3200 DDR 4 RAM, and a nicer storage option like a 2TB M.2 over the cheap 500GB SSD currently in it. I only have a couple of hundred dollars to spend, what would you recommend to boost performance?
So a 5600 would be a good CPU upgrade.
If in the US you can the Teamgroup Expert 32GB 3200 Speed Kit for 52 and you can get a 2TB Silicon UD90 SSD for 80.
If you don't have a CPU Cooler I'd recommend one as well as Thermalright has good options for around 20.
Love your videos always look forward to Friday and Saturday...
So glad you enjoyed!! Hope you have a great weekend!
is there a reason you don't often recommend Thermalright air coolers? specifically the Peerless Assasin, Phantom Spirit, and/or Frost Spirit?
He does recommend them. I've seen him recommend the Assassin X for budget builds and The Phantom Spirit for others.
Great work Jason!
Glad you enjoyed it!
my guy got the Big Sponsorship(tm). congratulations man, you AND THE TEAM deserve it ❤
Hey thanks!
Hay jason, any tips on windows/bios settings with installing a 5600x3d on a b550 board
will 4K gaming draw more power from gpu than the recommended tdp?
It's amazing that a 7800X3D and a 7900XTX combo going at 2K bucks. If ray-tracing is a deal breaker, is the RTX4080 great on 4K max settings or the only playable RT option is the insanely expensive RTX4090? Even Minecraft looks night and day with and without RT turned on.
Hello friend, how are you doing, very good videos you make, a question if you had to choose for 1440p and perhaps 4k and that it is future-proof, would you choose between the 7800xt and the 6950xt, and if the budget could be stretched a little, the 7900xt ? but between the first two which one, greetings
Obviously the better option is the more expensive card. Buy what you can afford and enjoy it until you can afford better 😉
7800XT because the features are better
I have a 6950xt and wouldn't trade it for anything less than a 7900xtx
Hello
What processor do you recommend for the rx 7800 xt? At first I was thinking of a ryzen 5 7500f (I wasn't wrong) and do you think the processor gives enough performance at 1440p for the rx 7800xt? Will there be a bootleneck?
That's a good combo
what about just a cooling fan instead of a liquid cool on the $2000 build, which would you recommend?
The Thermalright Phantom Spirit is a good price to performance cooler.
Hey Jason, thank you for putting together this great content! I haven’t build a pc for the last 10 years so I am thinking of buying a lot of parts this Black Friday and building an entire 1440p gaming build from scratch. Do you think I should go with 7800 xt and wait to see the possible next year gpus to upgrade, or should I go with rx 7900 xt? I am from EU so prices here are insane. I have the option to buy the gpu+cpu from US for a much lower price if you think that xtx would be the way to go. Thanks in advance!
The 7800XT is a good 1440p GPU so I would just save the money and get that.
Do you need help picking out the rest of the parts or are you all set?
Either GPU is good! I'd consider pairing it with a 7600
Made list for Black Friday on that 1440p build yeeee
Just to note on the first build if the case is changed into a cheaper Montech one that RX6800 mite be too long.
I bought this build and ran into what I believe is an issue (first time builder here). The 7900XTX Sapphire Pulse requires three 8-pin PCIe cables, but the Corsair RM1000e fully modular PSU only comes with two 8-pin (6+2 split) PCIe cables, it also comes with two 8-pin (6+2) cables that separate into two other cables. Is the 7900 XTX safe to use with the two 8-pin (6+2 split) cables? Can I mix and match the split and non-plug cables? Do I put the two separated ends into the PSU and the joined end into the GPU? I’m confused.
For the second build, I went for an upgrade on my 5820k. My budget was around 3000 euro. I went for an oc 7900xtx (nitro+) at 1210 euro (more expensive in Romania)) + 7800x3d (430 euro) + asrock x670e steel legionn for 345 euro + 32 kit corsair 6000 cl 30 RGB ram for 155 euro (I am considering to return the kit as the RGB in the software has a bad time syncing with the rest of the build and go for a g.skill of 64gb kit for around 240 euro same 6000 cl30 kit (timings are not as good as the 30cl corsair, but still deciding on that)) and went with the nitro+ 360 water cooler for 110 euro. The 280 could have been a great choice, but I wanted an overkill mb and cooler to upgrade in the future to a more power hungry top of the line 7950x3d or something similar to do editing work. I do gaming now. The rest of the budget went for an Alienware AW3423DMF for 870 euro. I could have got an XTX taichi for 100 euro less and go for a cheaper mb in the 220-230 euro range and maybe get the 7950x3d instead. I tried a cheaper 2k monitor, but having a OLED high refresh 2k ultrawide display was a great buy. I used my old NZXT 450 noctis case (would have loved an RGBB model like the asus) or to upgrade the case to a Fractal - the one with front wood trim - I may do it in the future for better airflow. The PSU is my old trusty RMi1000W Corsair. Not the best, but not the worst PSU. Other than some coil whine from the 7900 XTX Nitro+ and the RGB sync problem (fixed with using signalRGB software which doesn't sync with Razer...), I am pretty pleased with the performance in gaming. When I did the 5820k 980ti build back in the 2016 I optimize the cost as good as I could, but went for a very weird looking setup with multiple colors (blue mb, black/red accent case, white videocard just to get the cheapest build) and I learned for that to try and match the colors a bit more. Also, went for a more expensive mb due to better connectivity (more ssd storage options) and for a better audio with the nihmic realtek 1220 on the asrock. Also, I've been pleased with the Asrock X99 Extreme4.
what is the best graphics card for easy 1440p 240hz on high setting ?, I have 13700k
will you make a video about the rumors with 4000 series supers?
Another great video here. Have a great weekend, Jason! 💯✌
Thanks Thomas!! Hope you had a great weekend (:
Hey man! Could you suggest me a motherboard that would pair with an i7-13700K, and 2 GPU's (RTX 4070, and a Quadro T-1000), running up to 6 displays? Appreciate any insight you could offer!
AMD and Nvidia have silently dropped support for 2 GPU motherboards and very few games support it.
I have that Asus B650 gaming WiFi mobo in my vuild. Its a great board. Paired with a 7700 and a 7900XT and 32gb 6000 RAM.
Jason, for the 2k build at the end of the video. Do you think the liquid cooler is needed or can you just stick with an air cooler? I'm not a huge fan of watercoolers.
You can stick with an Air Cooler. The Thermalright Phantom Spirit is a good price to performance Air Cooler.
Air cooler would be fine! What Ty said. The Thermalright Peerless Assassin is also a good choice.
Whats a good build to run BG3
"Forget 1080p!!!"😂😂😂 I love this guy man
Haha these episodes always hit BIG!
So glad you enjoyed!! Hope you are well (:
Are the Asus motherboards still ok for AM5. I heard they were frying the am5 processors on release?
There was big drama around them a few months ago but its all been resolved and now they have one of the best warranties around. Check out our Best Ryzen Motherboard 2023 video for more
I feel with the game development build they would have wanted something like a 13700k and 64gb of ram 🤷♂️. It just seems like you would want productivity speed and space for something like that. Anyway, if that was the case I would go with the 7900XT and do a z790 board with a 13700k.
What motherboard would you use for the 2k$ build if it did not need to be aesthetic or asus? @PC Bullder?

Hey Jason, can you recommend a gaming pc for a budget range of $450 to $500? A cpu on my mind is 5 5500 and the gpu is rx 6600
Right now 5500 is somewhat sold out, i3 12100F and cheap B660 is a good alternative. See our best builds series as we've done quite a few. $500 is tough but possibly with Black Friday Sales.
If I am getting a nitro+ 7800 xt and zotac 4070 trinity at the same price
Which one shall I get ?
Maybe the power consumption has a favour in my mind but still asking this question
7800XT if using it for Gaming, 4070 if using it for Production work. Just note Nitro GPUs use more power so keep that in mind.
Built a pc two weeks ago with a Rx 6800 (last pc was 10 years old) and I love it. That card is a beast.
Great card!
For the first build id get the pop air case. Its really nice, ok price and looks great in all those colors.
pop air has that drawback of you having to pay for the USB C functionality outside of the cost for the case. Montech AIR 903 is similar price and provides more or less same i/o without extra cost. pop air is a goto if you need the drive bays though.
I always love the enthousiastic: "I NAMED THIS THE 1440P GAMING ULTRA SPEC TOP BUILD" haha
Keep doing these, this is great and unique content.
haha thank you! I have fun with it (;
Hopefully, I'm looking to build or upgrade in 2024. Can I pull these builds up on part picker so I don't make these mistakes?
It helps as it checks compatibility.
Always a good day when the homie Jason posts a boost my build video.
So glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching
Your cat is getting so much popularity i could imagine u two in funny comics strips like Garfield :)
Hello Jason! Thanks for putting out this fantastic and useful content. If I may, one question came up: is the liquid cooling actually needed for ryzen 7850x or 7900x (I know that many prefer it but i wonder if a potent air cooler would save some money and increase reliability i also know the 7900x does not make sense for gaming builds but I have a workstation for 3d and adobe suite work in mind)?
So yes the 7900X is a good CPU in your case and for Air Cooling I would look at the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. It's a good price to performance Cooler.
@@kelley09162 thank you very much.
@@kelley09162 thx. Do you mind giving your opinion of going for a 13700k or 14700k instead (many benchmarks and reports rank it the better option for creative and 3d work)?
@@drdesign1777Yes for Production Work Intel make sense. I can make a build for you if you want, I just need to know your budget.
@@kelley09162 fantastic. My budget is 1500 to 2000€ (I guess that equals 1500$ US given the current higher prices in Europe). Price to value is most important to me.
I havent jumped to am5 yet. Tryin to stretch it. Im late.. but powerfully late..so i was able to grab this season. A saphire 7800xt, an msi 1440p 165 hz 34 inch curved, a 5800x3d, another 16 gb of low ram..3600 for a total of 32 gb. In a lian li 216. Corsair 1100 watt Air cooled besides cpu with cooler master closed loop. Thats it for me this season. Yes...powerfully late.. with a very minor upgrade path.. the next step is a jump to am5..but maybe...ill just wait..amd is cookin stuff..so is nvidia intel and everyone else..wish i had a crystal ball. Happy gaming everyone!
You should good for a while. 5800x3d only came out last year. I’d be disappointed if you didn’t get any good time out of it
