Joe Buffalo randomly came up to me one night and shook my hand at punk show at SBC in Vancouver. At the time I had no idea he was pro skater. I think the reason why he came up to me is because I was a fellow first nations
I love hearing success stories like this. It makes me very happy to know that someone who went through so much as a child and young adult made the decision to channel his pain into something that gave him strength. So proud of you Joe Buffalo - wishing you all the success and happiness that this world can offer you! Keep smiling!
I used to hang out with Joe at an arcade called "Shenanigans" way back in the late '80s early '90s in a small town just north of where he's from called Wetaskiwin. My jaw is still wide-open. Wow! Good job Joe
Had no idea that he was a pro-skater.
He's one hell of a scrapper too. Should be in the UFC
I've never met a first nations person who wasn't a good fighter lol. It's an unfortunate reality that being born into a system as 2nd class by law means the #1 person to help you fight your battles is yourself. I hope things continue to get better for them, it's been a rough go.
I'm 46 and just got my very first board set up. A Baker Faceneck board.
Favourite skaterever, style, skill, speed and power.
Joe Buffalo - you're on a strange and unforgiving path. Don't give in to temptation - keep shredding and believe in yourself. Your belief is your power. Don't ever let it go.
He taught me how to ride on a half pipe today, it was super awesome, he is such a cool guy
He and Andrew Stanley from TheWildNorth, here on UA-cam, kinda look alike....
This is so rad. Respect!
I met this guy today at a skateboard thingy
The Indigenous community loves you Joe!
its crazy to think this guy was at my level at some point
👍🏽
