Unfortunately his tail was docked when we bought him. We actually had a tail extension custom made for him so he could have a nice full tail. To our great sadness we lost this horse to colic 3 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him.
I can see because of size and weight, the Clydesdale has a much tougher time with transitions than smaller horses. The momentum is greater and I can see where this horse had to halt rather than doing a transition before changing to a slower gait. Really interesting.
this is an all breed horse show- I'm showing with paints and quarter horses. LOL ..... judges are always hard on something......... LOVE showing the clydes!
I would love to know were all these draft horse shows are. I live in CO and there are none for under saddle for drafts. I have to show against QH, Paints and Appys. Lets say the judges are hard on my drafts.
Will they have no reason to be,as your horse was listening to you and was moving forward with no problem 🙂 Only 1 question... How would he move with just a slight bit longer rein?
That is a fantastic horse and he moves beautifully. Someone else asked why the horse had a docked tail, is that a necessary requirement for the breed? Thanks 😊 😊
Oh wow In wonder how the canter feels when even the rider cant really sit it :'D Or sitting the trot... I even have trouble sitting the trot of the 1,80m warmblood I ride
The only thing I wish is that beautiful Clydesdale's tail wasn't docked.

That is very sad. King look's like a great horse! In fact the first Draft horse I ever rode was a Clydesdale.
@@specterman2000 He was.... I was thankful to have had him in my life- even if it was short.
His walk was definitely his best gait. So jaunty. I love the way Clydesdales pick up their feet.
I agree with you. Looks magnificent when the tail is long.

Should ride bareback, much more comfortable for both.
