I remember an old movie where kids go to some kind of "video game championship" and one of the "villains" was a pro that played some random NES racing perfectly with one of these Power Gloves...
But ok, it was just a movie and, in fact, this glove really could be a bit clunky and messed up, but like ANY move sensor (Kinect, PS Move and the own Wii sensors), theres a correct distance and environment care you need to have for a better use of it (which i believe many people that tried this in the long of all this years don't have figured).
you know, the power glove actually gets you a LOT of envy these days. since my dog chewed the cord off, i started wearing it to play laser tag. people started calling it a "laser gauntlet" at the place i play at.
I can't believe it's been 16 years since I saw this. The Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Power Glove trilogy are my favorite episodes. I'm almost 29, so most of my live I've watched James.

I miss this Nerd. His rants somehow felt more natural than what they are now.
I think this is because he either lost interest in the AVGN character, or he lost touch on what type of fans he is trying to target. I definitely agree that he forces alot of his personality these days. I miss the old nerd, the current one kinda sucks.
Yeah it does kinda suck, but let's give James credit he's been doing the show for 14 years now, and the downhill progression was natural over many years.

The power glove actually does shockingly well with racing games.
I remember an old movie where kids go to some kind of "video game championship" and one of the "villains" was a pro that played some random NES racing perfectly with one of these Power Gloves...
But ok, it was just a movie and, in fact, this glove really could be a bit clunky and messed up, but like ANY move sensor (Kinect, PS Move and the own Wii sensors), theres a correct distance and environment care you need to have for a better use of it (which i believe many people that tried this in the long of all this years don't have figured).

I can't believe it's been 16 years since I saw this. The Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Power Glove trilogy are my favorite episodes. I'm almost 29, so most of my live I've watched James.
I can honestly say if they made a remake of this controler I'm sure it would be 90 times better and more usable. I mean look what microsoft did with the kinect. I'm pretty sure if someone took the power glove and remade it, it could be usable.
