  • "All art and design is modern at the time it is made" - Cennino Cennini
I own noting.I am not associated with Hayburn & Co.Enjoy.
" Tradition by definition, is the inherited and complex evolution of things cultural, social, conventional, and institutional. The question regarding it is: which traditions live and change, and which do not."

"Let us use our intelligence, together, to define our use and understanding of the word tradition, and once again, to proceed using it proudly."

-Duncan McCallum McRoberts
It would be wise to start using classic styles again, we need to get over our post-WWII fear of classic and ornate things.
"Have you ever looked at a bizarre building design and wondered, "What were the architects thinking?" Have you looked at a supposedly "ecological" industrial-looking building, and questioned how it could be truly ecological? Or have you simply felt frustrated by a building that made you uncomfortable, or felt anger when a beautiful old building was razed and replaced with a contemporary eyesore? You might be forgiven for thinking "these architects must be blind!" New research shows that in a real sense, you might actually be right." - Quinlan Terry

Why is there a photo of Gdańsk labeled "...Germany..."?

because it was German until the Poles stole it!

Well, it was German just for six years when Poland acquired it in 1945

In it's over a thousand years of history, Gdańsk was german for only 125, and Prussia stole it during the Partitions of Poland, it was never German before 1793

And I'm sure those 125 years were the very best years. As for Poland, it isn't even a real nation as far as I'm concerned. Just a dumping ground for the Semitic refuse of other states.

That's not true, the city developed very well under Polish rule, better than after the partitions, and only started developing again after it became a free city after the Great War. As for Poland, Jews used to migrate there because they were not opressed there, unlike in other European countries. And Poland is a country for over a thousand years, and Poles are in fact a nation, check your sources.

    Clumsy pretenders.
