I got there free sample set of the patriot and the mountain man. Both are excellent. I love natural scents, more specifically woods as I wood work for fun. My girl prefers the patriot. They really did nail their products. The beard wash is fantastic if you haven't tried it. Gets right to the skin and gets the hair clean and conditioned. My 6 month old laughs when it gets on her face rather than fuss.
I ordered The Patriot as well and they sent me a total of 4 samples to try out both beard oil and beard balm, I even got the sample size beard wash for free, with a really cool guitar pick for the balm,a sticker, . I kinda wish there was an industry standard measuring scale for the amount of hold a product has. Maybe it’s a simple as a percentage of beeswax by weight so that less than 10 is light 30 is medium and 50% is heavy hold. I made those numbers up but you get the point.
I'm writing this as I listen to your review. I remember that company as the first to include a Guitar Pick with the balm, and to this day, I think of them when I see anyone else include a pick. Barbers call their scissors "shears". They are distinguished by the microgrooves in the blades which grab the hairs, and by the Pinky Finger rest as the professionals were trained to use their ring finger in the "hole" and the first two fingers along the handle (you can see the finger rests) for maximum control. I tell ya, the things I wind up learning!

They were the first balm I ever bought and got The Original. It's a very mild smell of vanilla and sandalwood. Then bought a sample of their outlaw and LOVED the smell!! Just wish the smell stuck around longer.

Would like to see matching or complimentary cologne to go with the beard scents. It would be nice to have a cologne to wear with my beard oil for nice occasions and not worry about having one clash with or overpower the other
BABC, the OG for me. This is the first real beard product I ever tried. Not bought. A buddy of mine gave me a bunch of samples and been a customer ever since. Love everything I've tried from them. I actually have the small scissors from them that's awesome for me on these unruly eyebrows. Everyone doesnt offer different sizes like that. Great company, great review. Great review Dan! I have got the Artius Man brush which has the same profile as the B.A.B.C. brush. I was a bit lost in the beginning as well but now it's my go to brush. I really like the way you can just use a few tufts or bristles on the edge for your mustache or the way it curves around my jawline as I brush down to tame the flyaways.
I really wanted to like this company being that I try to support veterans. None of their beard oils or balms did it for me tho. I purchased a ox-horn comb however and loved that and still use it a year later.
I'm a BABC club member and I love their stuff have a bunch of samples from them and some full size stuff. I LOVE the Royal Knight. It was really my first love. Been surpassed by some others now but I still love the scent! Awesome job! God Bless!
my most favorite cedar scent is after it's been through a couple of torrential downpours, get that musky cedar scent, The Patriot is my favorite scent from this company, I really love how you have questions near the end of each video, another thing that makes it such a great channel! and this is the most difficult question, as of right now I can't think of anything, I might have to come back after giving it some thought and comment back if I do think of something
This company was my introduction to "quality" beard products when I got serious about my beard. I ordered their pirate scent back in oct and will probably order again in the future. They're not as talked as much in my humble opinion. But a great company. 🤘

Great review! I will definitely give them a shot. I do really like the brush as well. For me I also need I really good round brush. I bought one, but I need the closer Bristles to be able to grab and shape my beard. Some companies have those, but not many sell a round brush. It’s a must for me. Thanks Dan!👊🏼
Awesome that you was finally able to do this. They were my first beard company. I have that big wooden comb, the boars hair bristle brush (but the one on the handle) their ox horn comb and their tiny sissors. When the time comes this winter hopefully you get to rock the Holiday scent.

When it comes to products I would like to see a major player like BABC have a high quality beard straightener. Amazon is loaded with products that just aren’t what they say they are. Make it more of a comb with a swivel cord, and price it right.
It's something we were looking into, but we haven't found anything that we are happy with yet! We won't release a product unless we are 100% happy with it.
BABC was the first oil and balm I bought. I love the Viking and just got the Brewmaster combo. I also bought a sandlewood comb and boars hair brush. Great customer service and being here in California I had my product in 3 days with standard shipping.
Great review DanC! One thing I would like to see more of is beard shampoo geared more towards gray/white hair. Kinda like the purple shampoo for the hair on your head, but for beards. Just my two cents. Lol
BABC was the very first company that I tried in the very beginning of my bearded journey with their sample pack, so they kinda have a special place in my heart (you never forget your first).. Can’t say that I’ve seen the curved scissors in the beard game as of yet.. The curved scissors are usually a lot longer than standard scissors and extremely curved. They are mostly used on Afros to give it that perfect round shape on the top and the sides.
I tried the Patriot scent and liked it a lot. I got a sample of the Lady's Man and that one is my favorite of the 2 I've tried. Like you, I'd like to try a few more scents and the samples are a great way to do this. Thanks for the review. Stay bearded.
I love the clove scent (pirate scent). The other balms though have a great smell in the tin but rubbing it in my hands and putting it in beard makes it smell different. You can smell the base ingredients and it has a greasy smell to it that overpowers the scents.
Surprised you jus now tried it . I’ve been using babc for lil while now I have the black brush with handle and the original oil and balm I like it the biker is pretty good I really like the Viking and the Outlaw. I jus ordered a sample of the ladies man and the Royal Knight. I love both the oils and balms. I also tried the beard wash and hog wash all good so far haven’t used the hog wash but 1 or 2 times but it’s seems pretty good as well

Been waiting so long for this review. One of my 1st companies I tried when i started growing my beard. They have awesome products, scents and even natural deodorant in the same scents as their oils and balms. Along with a great community on facebook to get feed back from club members and to test new products that they want to release. I recommend the Viking since you like citrus and hope to see more.
I’m a fan of their ladies man scent. Their hogwash beard wash isn’t necessarily my favorite but I do like it. It’s a company I’d recommend especially being veteran owned.
Dan C Bearded I got the co-mmand co wash in yesterday. Used it today. It hasn’t made a huge difference in softness yet, which I know results like that may vary. However, what it did do was lay my beard down neatly, even without product my beard was much straighter and more manageable. The brush and comb ran through it easily. Definitely glad I bought some and am going to continue testing it. Also I just noticed that you and Eric bandholz from beard brand look alike lol.
Hi Dan C. I bought the sample pack from BABC and they all have a underlying smell of something I can describe ( Vaseline like 🙄) I don't like the smell for me. I was wondering if you no what I'm talking about or did I just get some bad product. That's for your channel and your service.
I've tried a couple of their scents in the sample size oil and balm. All of them were very faint in scent strength, but performed well. The balm was like a butter to me, and my favorite scent was the outlaw! It was like a sweet tobacco scent, as I said earlier the scent just didn't last long. Not sure if maybe it was due to being small sample size portions or not.
That is a tough question. Where I'm from you can't step outside without getting carried away by a cloud of mosquitos. If they made a beard balm that you could rub on your hair and skin to keep the bugs away, I would wear it every day I work in the woods. Even if it smelled terrible I think it would be a great alternative to spraying poison all over yourself.
Great review they were my first company I tried. Great products, and love they are veteran owned. I do think their balm/wax has carrier/butter scent more so than other companies (secret agent exp) but they are a good company non the less. Royal Knight is my favorite.
Can’t go wrong trying their sampler for the new beardsman. Enjoy experiencing what’s out there, without braking the bank. Figure they would have a facial hair flowbee out by now, for those as seen on tv buyers. Cya

Great review! They were one of the first companies I tried.. Very cool company and fun branding... I tried their soda jerk (root beer) and the pirate (bay rum).. Good quality oils but very lightly scented.. I passed them on to my friend who just started growing his beard 👍
One of my favorite scents from them is the patriot! I get the patchouli over all other scents( which I love, she hates lol ) sooo unfortunately it doesnt make it to my caddy☹️ No need to say how spot on and awesome your reviews are! Glad you did this review because this company was one of the first I used when I discovered beard products. I tried all their main scented oils and my absolute favorite is the Outlaw. Just a nice manly scent. I had their boars hair brush and it definitely is the best. Unfortunately I dropped it and it split in half lol
I tried a sample pack of the royal knight. I really liked the scent profile and the beard oil was really nice. However I really really disliked the beard wash. It made my beard feel like straw and took forever to get back in shape. I was also kinda displeases with the balm. I didn’t use it but one time honestly, the container was so small I couldn’t get much product out. Good scent, nice oil
U should use a co wash after using the beard wash it is a stripping beard wash. I enjoy it to get all the product out of my beard I o my use it one a week thow.

Been waiting so long for this review. One of my 1st companies I tried when i started growing my beard. They have awesome products, scents and even natural deodorant in the same scents as their oils and balms. Along with a great community on facebook to get feed back from club members and to test new products that they want to release. I recommend the Viking since you like citrus and hope to see more.

I’m a fan of their ladies man scent. Their hogwash beard wash isn’t necessarily my favorite but I do like it. It’s a company I’d recommend especially being veteran owned.
Ladies man is next on my list!
Dan C Bearded I got the co-mmand co wash in yesterday. Used it today. It hasn’t made a huge difference in softness yet, which I know results like that may vary. However, what it did do was lay my beard down neatly, even without product my beard was much straighter and more manageable. The brush and comb ran through it easily. Definitely glad I bought some and am going to continue testing it. Also I just noticed that you and Eric bandholz from beard brand look alike lol.

Hi Dan C. I bought the sample pack from BABC and they all have a underlying smell of something I can describe ( Vaseline like 🙄) I don't like the smell for me. I was wondering if you no what I'm talking about or did I just get some bad product. That's for your channel and your service.

Badass beard care has my favorite scent. Lemon and vanilla in the Ladies man 😎👍 love that stuff! I've bought everything they have with that scent 😉

I've tried a couple of their scents in the sample size oil and balm. All of them were very faint in scent strength, but performed well. The balm was like a butter to me, and my favorite scent was the outlaw! It was like a sweet tobacco scent, as I said earlier the scent just didn't last long. Not sure if maybe it was due to being small sample size portions or not.
I use 1.5 droppers now, so that certainly could help the scent with me
That is a tough question. Where I'm from you can't step outside without getting carried away by a cloud of mosquitos. If they made a beard balm that you could rub on your hair and skin to keep the bugs away, I would wear it every day I work in the woods. Even if it smelled terrible I think it would be a great alternative to spraying poison all over yourself.
That's a great idea! Have you tried any scents heavy in lemongrass for that?
I haven't tried that yet. I may have to experiment this summer to see if it works!

Great review they were my first company I tried. Great products, and love they are veteran owned. I do think their balm/wax has carrier/butter scent more so than other companies (secret agent exp) but they are a good company non the less. Royal Knight is my favorite.

Great review! They were one of the first companies I tried.. Very cool company and fun branding... I tried their soda jerk (root beer) and the pirate (bay rum).. Good quality oils but very lightly scented.. I passed them on to my friend who just started growing his beard 👍

One of my favorite scents from them is the patriot! I get the patchouli over all other scents( which I love, she hates lol ) sooo unfortunately it doesnt make it to my caddy☹️ No need to say how spot on and awesome your reviews are! Glad you did this review because this company was one of the first I used when I discovered beard products. I tried all their main scented oils and my absolute favorite is the Outlaw. Just a nice manly scent. I had their boars hair brush and it definitely is the best. Unfortunately I dropped it and it split in half lol

I tried a sample pack of the royal knight. I really liked the scent profile and the beard oil was really nice. However I really really disliked the beard wash. It made my beard feel like straw and took forever to get back in shape. I was also kinda displeases with the balm. I didn’t use it but one time honestly, the container was so small I couldn’t get much product out.

U should use a co wash after using the beard wash it is a stripping beard wash. I enjoy it to get all the product out of my beard I o my use it one a week thow.

A little bit of both. You get what you pay for, but there are good budget options like honest Amish out there
I used there balm. It was good just to me it smelled like one those outside bug candles.

That would be The Bushwacker. It has citronella in it.
