also could you install the SHORT PLATE STORAGE POSTS - MONSTER LITE vertically on the bottom rear holes of the rack? so instead of them sticking out horizontally on the uprights, they could serve as storage and weigh down the rack simultaneously???
Rogue sells a Rogue Monster Lite Socket Pull-Up Bar. Am I able to purchase that and put it on the SML-1 70"? That way I could put plate holders on the Squat Stand itself as there would be a pull-up bar to help support it?
I already have another pullup bar but I wonder if adding a cross member across the top would improve rigidity even more. I don't see how that would make it unsafe as long as you weren't actually hanging on it right?
Hey there, I’m sure you could add a crossmember to add stability. It wouldn’t hurt, but I don’t recommend anything that Rogue doesn’t recommend. Like you said, don’t hang on it 👍🏽
Lucefied , I bought a 5/8” x 6 ft. steel threaded rod at Home Depot along with four washers and four 5/8” nuts and attached the threaded rod to the towers and snugged the nuts tight on both the inside and outside of the towers. I made sure that the towers were plum and adjusted the nuts as needed. I hacksawed the excess threaded rod off the one end of the threaded rod. The threaded rod ended up being 51” long after removing excess length. There’s no flexing of the towers. Whenever I’ve moved the squat stand I removed the safety spotter arms and then overhead pressed the threaded rod and walked the entire squat rack to wherever I wanted it to be positioned. It’s a very inexpensive way to strengthen the rigidity of the squat rack if you so desire.
Hey Chris, I was just wondering whenever you disassemble and reassemble your stand, is there any damage to the areas in the metal around the holes where nuts and bolts go? I’m asking because I have an SML-2 that I’d be moving to another location. Would constant disassembly (retightening of screws and nuts) have any negative impact on the integrity of the rack itself?
Hey JT, I don't think so. I've diassembled and reassembled twice and there were no problems. Although, that was when the rack was brand new so I can't say for 100%. Unless you're doing it a LOT, I don't think there would be a problem, but definitely contact Rogue if you really want to make sure :D
Yes you can, whether it be from amazon or Rogue, although, you may have to contact Rogue on which exact one fits. I think their newest one is only for the monster racks, not monster lite, so double check with them :D
Incline bench can be prevented by a squat stand not being deep enough and a bench being too long to fit and allow incline. So it can be prevented by a squat stand. Scoffing at viewers willing to ask you for advice seems like a great way to build viewership though so you do you.

Hey Darryl,
So as I said in the video, it's probably "do-able" but since Rogue specifically says not to, I wouldn't risk it. I'm sure its possible.

Technically, you could, but they don't recommend it without the HR conversion kit. Making a video on it soon.
so would it be dangerous if you put the j cups at its highest setting and did pullups utilizing a barbell with your knees bent???
I don't think so however, I'm not going to try it.
I will try it I believe it should work.

i just chatted with the rogue rep and he said you can put their socket pull up bar on it. only issue is it will be super low (70 inches"

@@phillipkulas2302 thanks for the tip man, my dad and I were discussing welding up something to brace the towers.
Is the stand deep enough to position a bench for seated shoulder/overhead presses?
I've seen someone put an adjustable rogue pull up bar on it. 2:08
I've seen someone do it with the HR-2 Conversion Rack setup but other than that, I wouldn't recommend it.
Is it easy to move around i.e. do squats or push press outside ?
Yeah, I wouldn't say it's "easy" to manuever around but it can be done. So long as it isn't bolted to the ground :D
What the chances of the rack flipping over when racking a weight back ?
Slim. Very slim, unless you're working over the weight capacity or near it.
People buy this if they have a low ceiling height. If your ceilings are 93" plus then obviously buy a full power rack.
I have it because of a low ceiling. Works great, wonderful piece of equipment.
Are the safety spotter arms adjustable? I'm guessing yes but I want to make sure. Thank you in advance.
Yes they are
is the sml 2 similar height with the 1? I would like a pull-up bar but I got a low ceiling
It is not unfortunately. It's 90 inches compared to the SML-1 which is 70 inches.

Is the slant of your garage noticeable since you have it placed on the side of your garage?
Hey there, if there is a slant, I haven't noticed it/felt it..
Can you attach l1 50 cal trolley arms
Great video! I just ordered the spotter arms
Good choice!
I called Rogue and they said yes you can add a monster dip bar.
You can actually attach the landmine attachment to that squat rack, you can also upgrade the jcups to the sandwich version
I guess you could!
u can also add the rogue landmine attachment
this is what I came to ask about.. great feature! clutch info. thanks mane

Great video...what’s the name of that Power Tower??
Hey there, it's from TUFFStuff Fitness. www.tuffstuffitness.com/product/evolution-vkr-chin-dip-ab-crunch/
Can you rack pull?
Yes, but the weight limit is unknown. I'd probably bolt it down if you're doing a LOT of weight.
u can add the monolith
Great update
What you want to sell the SML-1 for? I'll buy it from you
Thank you brother.i just bought it and I love it 👌
Glad I could help!
I’m wondering if it’s compatible with a landmine attachment
It is! It can also work with other amazon landmine attachments that go under a rack or within the plates themselves.
Thanks man
For low ceilings basement I don't see anything better.
That was my concern with 80” ceilings in my basement. Just set my SML-1 Lite up, can’t wait to give it a try
you are wrong...you can put a pull up bar on it. straight from rogue...
As I said in the video, Rogue says on their website that it’s not recommended 👍🏽
