Lesson learned here is never second guess yourself by using after-market parts. Rebuilds are the worst, and even if it passed the test right after the job, you never know when it is going to quit on you. Indeed I have my share of headaches and regret later for trying to save a few bucks.
Hey sir. I've been down that road with other cars, it's just not worth putting an autozone or advance alternator in your porsche. Those alternators are best for cars that have alternators that are more easily removed like a lightbulb. New bosh is more expensive but that is what I'll be putting in my porsche when the time comes as it's a pita to get it out of such a tight space and I do not want to be replacing it every couple or years or more. sometimes you can cut corners even on premium sports cars, but this one is not the case and you ended up proving it (which I already knew). btw thank you and wonderful video! glad you got the porsche up and running.
yeah you're right , I should of spent the extra 100 bucks although the second go around I was able to pull out and put the alternator in, in about 25 min. lol
OH MAN, I felt your pain! After doing all that spannering, only to find out the replacement part was faulty, OMG! How long did it take, from taking out the air filter box, to putting it back on? I'm asking because my alternator needs replacing. Thanks for the great video my friend
It wasn't bad at all I was surprised how easy it is to replace if you know what you're doing it would take you about a half an hour which is about an hour faster than a standard car

They just have bad alternators. Every time I get one from there I have to get two or three
