Based on the information floating around from the audience that was live there during the filming - the version shown on TV is heavily edited (cut down). It took Kevin Bridges roughly 40 minutes to tell his story - when he starts from the beginning, that's why everyone is losing it so much. I don't know what I'd give/pay to watch the raw version from BBC's archives somewhere :D Wish they made it available.
The guy on the right is Proffessor Brian Cox, one of the greatest Physicists of our time, he was also the keyboard player for a band called D Ream in the nineties who had a number one hit here in the UK called 'Things can only get better'
Kevin Bridges was brilliant. He mastered the game on his first try. Claudia Winkleman is also amazing at this game. She appears gormless, but is a genius. She manipulates the opposing panel like a master.
And please check Chris McCausland on Would I Lie To You ("I thought my neighbour was ignoring me, and he thought I was ignoring him, until he found out I was blind, and I found out he was deaf.") - it's hilarious one :D
That was Professor Brian Cox you recognised on Lee's team, along with Kevin, the stand-up. On David Mitchell's team were Stephen Mangan, a comedy sitcom actor and the ever beautiful Keeley Hawes, an actress. WILTY? is basically always funny so look forward to more. David Mitchell has a superbly funny sketch show with his comedy partner, Robert Webb (called, er, 'Mitchell & Webb' basically) and every sketch from there are winners too.
@@meiji_tom Thanks for the tip. Didn’t know about this podcast. I’ve just listened to it. Great stuff, but now I’ve noticed there are so many episodes and not enough hours in the day! Think my next choice might be Adam Buxton or Bob Mortimer.
Everyone of us from Scotland knew this was true straight off the bat, 2 18 year old Scottish guys in Bulgaria paying £90 to rent a horse, they were selling it to two gullible tourists lol
So glad you got to see this one. Incidentally his father did pay for the horse, but I don't know what happened to the horse.
Really enjoying the WILTY reactions, such a quality show. I really love that you shout out a "truth" or "lie" guess early on, adds to the fun for clips we've seen loads of times 😄 keep up the reactions!
Generally speaking when it comes to the transferral of sitcoms, dramas and other progs back and forth across the pond: British TV companies will buy the version that is shown on American TV. And it's overwhelmingly been that way since time immemorial, so Brits grow up absorbing a large slice of American culture from being very young. That's why - whether we like it or not - we British are very familiar and maybe even comfortable (though by no means everyone is) with the American way - it isn't strange to us. However, when a British TV company sells a programme to other countries, Americans mostly won't buy the prog off the shelf, they, more than likely, will buy the idea and make their own version citing cultural differences, and that their version will go down better with the audience. And that's why many 'muricans don't think anywhere exists outside the US of A. You are correct KB in your assumption, that the guy on the right is Professor Brian Cox. He is an Astrophysicist who's made many programmes for the BBC about the Universe. His favourite catchphrase is "It's a billion.... billion.... billion.... billion.... miles away...."
Kevin Bridges is a great stand up comedian, a much more intelligent man than you might first think! Check out ‘bus stop’ which would be a great short introduction to him. ‘House Rice’ is a little longer but incredibly funny.
The space scientist guy is Brian Cox. Currently doing UK arena tours. He was also in a UK pop group called D-Ream among others that had a couple of hits - including 'Things can only get better'. He does a series called 'The wonders of .....' things like universe, stars, planets etc
In February 2021, the Issa brothers (Mohsin and Zuber) and TDR Capital acquired Asda. Walmart retains "an equity investment" in Asda, a seat on the board and "an ongoing commercial relationship".[11] The deal came after an acquisition by Sainsbury's was rejected by the Competition and Markets Authority.[12][6]
Greg Davies on The Graham Norton show. His story about getting drunk and having a curry had Ryan Gosling and Jodie Foster laughing. I've watched it a few times and I howl each time 😁
You should watch the it crowd- the work outing. Its half an hour long but is on youtube in 3 parts. Probably one of the funniest half an hours of British TV I've ever seen. Father Ted is also very funny👍
Wilty - Anything with Bob - pet owl, dog massage and dentistry are some of my favourites. Claudia Winkleman is probably the best at playing - check out naming people as animals. Also David o'Doherty hypnotism and leg warmers for birds.
Truly one of the funniest episodes of British comedy ever… And I believe it was David Mitchell's responses to Kevins answers that made it the funniest… PS the guy on the end is Professor Brian Cox who is seen on programs about the universe and physics
Ricky Gervais did NOT write the American office. He was down as a producer I think, along with Merchant, but other than one brief cameo, and their entire script being lifted for season one, his entire envolvement around the US office was cashing in royalties.
Yeah Kevin Bridges is a stand up, he's much younger than he looked here. Did the usual UK thing of breaking out in Edinburgh fringe then got some TV showings but he's much younger than the usual.
I once almost accidently hired a jumbo jet. I had flown through the airport the previous year so assumed it was still in existence. Well, it was, but not commercially. I phoned to book a flight and only realised at the payment stage that the price seemed a bit high. When I questioned this they got confused and said, sir, you are hiring the jet and have to supply your own pilot and pay for fuel costs etc. I cancelled the booking. 🤦♂😂
Prof. Brian Cox (the guy on the right) is indeed a very smart cookie. He presents science documentaries in much the way that Neil DeGrasse Tyson does in the US. He was also a musician in the 1990s.

You're right about the bloke on the right talking about space and stuff. Professor Brian Cox is his name. He came up with he accidentally caused the hadron collider to get shut down by spilling yoghurt inside it. Also says he was gaffer taped to a high up lighting rig by a roadie when he was in a band. The band he was in was called d:ream who had a hit called things can only get better. Tony Blair used that song while trying to get elected as prime minister which he succeeded with.

Yeah... Me too
If thats true they NEED to release it! I would sit by a campfire and just lay there listening for hours
I would pay to see unedited lol - just the level of incredulity and emotion from David makes me laugh so much
Yeah, I'd love to watch the unedited version too. It must take hours to make a show that only lasts 30 minutes.
So many ‘personalities’ on these type shows. They don’t let one guy steal the show. The audience wants raw real tv. Their egos don’t allow that.
The guy on the right is Proffessor Brian Cox, one of the greatest Physicists of our time, he was also the keyboard player for a band called D Ream in the nineties who had a number one hit here in the UK called 'Things can only get better'
