  • This is a fix I did on a Yamaha Fzs1000 Fazer Exup servo. It should be the same principal on most of the Exup Servos on other Yamahas with the Exup valve fitted. Its also a must to check the actual Exup valve in the exhaust is moving freely and the two cables are in good condition and tensioned correctly. Hope it helps

very nice description. as a photographer when your showing closeup work have a black or grey sheet behind your subject. your focus will stay spot on. now I know how to fix mine!

What was the exact symptoms with this Exup servo?
Mine seem to open very late and is hesitant to open at all before 7k rpm.

I honestly don't know but I would imagine yamaha would only sell the complete unit and I bet it's not cheap

Hey ! Thanks for the video, my unit has a grease from factory and I’m seeing that you have cleaned yours completely. Did you mounted it back with no grease at all ? Thanks 🙏🏼

Ok I believe the fork specs are the same as for the 3LN model which would be 10w fork oil at 390ml in each fork and a final measurement of 106mm from the top of the fork tube down to the oil level, this would be without the spring and tube fully down, hope it helps 👍
