The part about nice guys feeling the need to get attention for being nice kinda gets me. I'm not a very secure person, getting little positive feedback and get lambasted for reasonably not bad things. It gives me anxiety not knowing if what I did would be taken well especially since most things people won't call me out for.
I absolutely hate hearing about horses being confined to stalls for more time than being allowed out to move around. They go stir crazy and get mean out of frustration and boredom. 😢 Herd animals NEED interaction with like animals. Donkeys and cattle work in a pinch.
44:05 had this happen to me in high school about the band Rush. I’ve never been a particularly big fan of them but I do hold a lot of respect for them as musicians. I saw my friend talking outside school one morning with someone wearing a Rush t-shirt. Trying to make conversation, I said “well I’ve never been a particularly big Rush fan, though that is a cool shirt” the guy then proceeded to yell insults at me while angrily hurrying off to class. He later got the rest of the friend group who unlike me were unfortunate enough to share a chemistry lab with him in trouble because he was being rude to them and they called him out on it, causing him to blow up at them again. Before that he invited us all over to his house after we went bowling. His parents were super nice to all of us and bought us pizzas without us even asking and just genuinely being amazing people. We were all hanging out at his house in their garage which had been turned into a sort of, gym, gaming, and music room rolled into one, when he and some of the others decided to go in for a quick bathroom break. I didn’t find out until later that he’d screamed at his parents for trying to make conversation with the others that were waiting for the bathroom. At the time, I carried around a lightsaber toy that I’d added lights and sounds to as I’m a massive Star Wars fan and he happened to have one of the Savis workshop lightsabers in the garage. I asked if we could duel and he agreed. We went outside into his patio and we both ignighted our lightsabers. Growing up I’d learned to sword fight and not waste any time in battle as such. So when he went to spin his saber around to show off, I saw my opportunity and took his arms. He then whined loudly about “not being ready” and we all just chuckled quietly at him. He then tried it again only he went for a strike after, I blocked it and struck his wrist again. I managed to lightly graze his finger in doing so and he collapsed to the ground screaming and crying about how much it hurt. Having been there many times I knew that hand hit never felt good, especially in the cold. But here he was, laying on the ground screaming and crying in 70 degree weather about being hit in the hand. It took all the strength we could muster not to laugh at him relentlessly. He was strangely surprised when we told him we didn’t want to hang out anymore after the chem lab incident a few weeks later.
That is a sad fact: 'Nice' Guys get verbally & physically violent, 'Hot' Chicks get verbally & reputation-destroyingly violent. Neither Accomplishes What They Want & NEITHER MAKE MUCH SENSE!
I think the Bigger Problem is all the middle-aged 'Church Women' who ALWAYS chirp: " Oh! That's SOOOOOOO Cute! YOU Should Be Fla-ttered!" (Yeah! 'Won't Take No For An Answer' STALKING Is SO KEE-OOOOOOT!)
That last story is just more proof that family isn't about blood. He may not have been the biological grandfather but it sounds like he was one hell of a father anyway.
Cool beans = I don't care Where I live usually "cool beans" usually means "good for you man, I don't care..." I know it's not the case all the time, but I understand why the guy got pissed thhoooo most let's it go and be an adult. No one is obligated to care after all.
I married a "nice guy", though most of the time it is pleasant.... I don't know if some of these rules apply for when you are indeed married, not dating or single.
15:38 I feel it should be said that fleeting crushes also apply to you in this situation. Give yourself time in that situation to get a feel for if you’re willing to actually be in a relationship with that person. Because once you ask them out, its always uneasy to get out of relationships. (As someone who has experience as the other person. “Fleeting crushes” are absolute killers.) Also for the love of the gods don’t try pull a FWB with your ex. Though I think I just got unlucky there.

Exactly.
Yeah. Male or female! Provided that these aren’t BAD life advice.

Expecting praise for not assaulting someone is truly deranged

That sounds intense! It's crazy how quickly things can turn awkward with friends over something so small.
What game is that in the background

Honestly being straight up would work alot better than dancing around

So hang on. If you're not British, narrator, then where does your accent come from? I always just assumed you were English
All this is making me so happy that I'm a chonky middle-aged woman who has no desire in dating.
Being out of 'The Dating Game' DEFINITELY Has Its Advantages (like scratching where it itches, Thank You Very Much & A Great King's Blessing!)
