I went out on my own and literally saw a group of guys also going out for a 96, we took a taxi together cause we were going to the same place and we hung out the entire weekend together and invited me to stay at their hotel. Another day in a different ocassion, I went to a Hotel underneath Fuji Mountain by myself once again and a Japanese guy saw me at the elevator and just talked to me to be friendly, I told him I was just hanging out to relax around the area, he asked me if i was there with friends, and once he heard i was alone, he invited me to go drink with him and his friends in their room. We went to get dinner, play tennis, on a bike ride around fuji lake, went to a hotspring and over all had a lot of fun together. They even took me back to the base i was staying at afterwards. On the same trip 2 weeks after visiting fuji, I was looking for a friend who lived in tokyo and I got lost in the subway and a stranger at 10 pm who obviously came from work whom I had asked for directions decided to wait with me for my friend to ensure I'd find him. He waited with me for 35 mins aprox and talked for the entire time, he gave me a big hug at the end and left when my friend arrived. So I absolutely believe guys are like this.
