@fascist mexico the mexican military is severely under-equipped for a country of that size. however, in terms of urban tactics and counter-insurgency they are pretty advanced. but their airforce is weak as hell. i am mexican-born, but dual-citizen.

I wish my country wasnt suffering as it is from corruption, drugs, violence, poverty... Mi pobre México, cuanto has sufrido. These men and women are our hope. Almost everyone on the higher places on the services or on the governments (federal, state, municipalities) is corrupt. Thats the tragedy. We deserve better.

US Marines and Mexican marines need to train together. We share a boarder and a common goal. I’m out of the US marines now but I would have LOVED the opportunity to cross train with the Mexican marines in Mexico

Mexico probably is a country with the most battle experience since Mexican troops are always deployed to keep the peace since 2006. Also Mexico has developed good land vehicles to fight in urban settings. no need for tanks or last generation jets.

Mexico needs 1,500 tanks such as the Leopard 2 Tank. Needs 20 F-16 jets, 10 jets similar to a F-22 Raptors, better personal gear for the men, and needs bit more weapons on those ships they have on the float. Mexico also needs AH-64. Like 40 of them. Then Mexico will be considered on the top 15 counties with military power.
Buying tanks is a waste of money, because no country would ever be willing to invade Mexico. Doing so would lead to the U.S getting involved. The only country we would have to worry about would be the U.S and to fight them we would need twice as many tanks, and hundreds of jets to protect them from air strikes. Mexico recently ordered new Saab Gripens from Sweden. The Gripen is a better and more advanced fighter than the nearly 50 year old f-16 platform. As for the f-22, it’s illegal for the U.S to sell them. Not even Japan, a crucial U.S ally was able to buy them.
