Despiste what everybody says about the oc, the series has one of the best soundtrack ever, even the killers appeared in it, and the movie rockanrolla used some of the song in it
On and on I've been waiting on the open invitation You're silent show me no relation In the rising cold Don't you feel alone I'll be standing with your sorrow All you left me's gone away tomorrow And we may never be here again And we may never be here again Pull me up On either side Don't leave me standing alone in the light Pull me up On either side Don't leave me standing alone in the light On and on I've been waiting on the open invitation You're silent show me no relation In the rising cold Don't you feel alone I'll be standing with your sorrow All you left me's gone away tomorrow And we may never be here again And we may never be here again
THIS HIDDEN TRACK. God what an amaxing piece of music from an amazing band on an incredible album. It was the soundtrack of my life for a while there. The split of nick from the original lineup inspired this song apparently and its the perfect poetry summing up what it is to lose a friend
It’s on their album titled ‘Howl’ this song is on the album as ‘the line / open invitation’ Once the the song ‘The Line’ finishes, open invitation starts. It’s not up as a stand alone track.
Not ashamed to say I heard this first on the oc! Fuck haterss, who cares where I heard this song, couple years ago I searched FOREVER for this song, I fuckin like it, and the oc. Fuck da haterzzz
I'm so sad this track has been modified on spotify ? Idk why, it used to sound like this version but recently it changed and doesn't sound as good anymore
I was listening to a man creating loops out of drone from accordion, and was reminded of this song. Search “accordion ambient,” the channel is This Guy Loops, I listened to Loop #5
I have watched it, and it's not something I can relate to at all. I don't live in a massive house, I don't have parents with ludicrous amounts of money. Not all of my friends look like models. There is far too much going on outside the television screen to waste on programme's like the O.C..... Anyways, the song is what is important, and that's why I had my outburst. It saddens me that there is this song, but at the same time, comments about a mundane American teen tv drama....
I respect your views but i find the o.c. to be relatable to many walks of life. It has themes and su plots of: poverty, peer pressure, emotional insecurities, domestic violence, love, death, finding youself, academic struggles, alcoholism, drug addiction, pregnacy... the list goes on. No mater what's in our bank account or how we look, we all struggle. I think the beauty of the shows message is that the characters surface level show "the ideal" but when examined the are just as flawed as everyone else.
To be honest, I don't really care. It's a shit show. Nothing I can say will change people's opinion and thats not what I want to do. I just found this tune, which I had heard before and had an uncharacteristic outburst, as I try and not bother commenting with opinions on youtube, you guys can watch it and love it, and that's cool with me. I'll continue to not watch it and we can all live happily ever after, amen

Thanks to The O. C. I know so many great musicians and amazing songs. Thanks for uploading this track and the video is perfect for it too.

On and on
I've been waiting on the open invitation
You're silent show me no relation
In the rising cold
Don't you feel alone
I'll be standing with your sorrow
All you left me's gone away tomorrow
And we may never be here again
And we may never be here again
Pull me up
On either side
Don't leave me standing alone in the light
Pull me up
On either side
Don't leave me standing alone in the light
On and on
I've been waiting on the open invitation
You're silent show me no relation
In the rising cold
Don't you feel alone
I'll be standing with your sorrow
All you left me's gone away tomorrow
And we may never be here again
And we may never be here again

Brilliant!
The show actually makes a point of satirizing that lifestyle at every opportunity. You missed the point.
I'm so sad this track has been modified on spotify ? Idk why, it used to sound like this version but recently it changed and doesn't sound as good anymore

Is it not an accordion?
An accordion I believe!
@@internalpowers3823 interesting idea...🤔
I am a little distraught right now knowing that B.R.M.C sold their material to MTV and the O.C.
mtv and the oc have zero connection
:'(
