Abortion being on the ballot has changed things. There’s a ton of women out there who live in red areas, have the trump sign their husband put in the front yard, who even tell a pollster who calls that they’re voting for Trump as their husband or family can hear her…but who will absolutely be walking in and voting for Harris when no one can see who she’s voting for. It’s why since 2022 democrats have been overperforming by an average of 10 points on average from their poll numbers.

I'll never be able to fathom how nearly half of the US can still consider Trump a viable candidate fit to run this country. The guy's a complete psychopath, and yet half of the country has absolutely no problem with that. It's really disheartening.

You have to remember the marriage equality debate during the Bush years to understand why Trump is so popular. Evangelicals believe homosexuality is a special sin in which God will wipe any nation that tolerates it off the face of the planet. When same-sex marriage was legalized, they turned to fascism in response. Everyone acts so baffled Trump is so popular, but the answer to that question is very clear, if you simply look at evangelical rhetoric between 9/11 and June 26, 2015, when marriage equality happened.

Don’t be discouraged, As we all know trump gives himself away through projection, and every thing he blames others for he is guilty of himself, a short time ago trump accused vice president Harris of paying off corrupt pollsters to fiddle her poll numbers,
Which makes me deeply suspicious of trumps poll numbers.
Is it coincidental that after each of his fundraising grifts his poll numbers suddenly improve, it’s been reported that just after being burned to ashes by VP Harris, trump was organising yet another fund raising grift. 🤔 I wondered then if his poll numbers would increase, and here we are. Trump is desperate at this point, and he would give any amount of dollars just to keep up this national gaslighting campaign.

Cheney had an approval rating below 20% after the Gulf War intel debacle.
Chris Christie had an approval rating below 20% after Bridgegate.
Maybe people just can't believe that Trump has done the equivalent of 50 Bridgegates, so therefore he's a sympathetic figure who should be left alone by the horrible lion Dems.
So Cheney and Christie's problem was that they needed to keep doing those things over and over, so that their usual supporters couldn't believe anything the newscaster said about them.
Merchan et al. put off sentencing so it doesn't look political. But to those who reason this way, no sentencing is evidence in their minds that the indictments and convictions are all fake, and very much political. Just as Trump's followers can't believe he could be so awful, so the professionals can't imagine how confused his followers are. He needs to be sentenced for his followers to have an epiphany that the crimes are real.

Biden was up 6% in a national poll the Monday before the last election and barely won. Hillary was up 2% in a national poll the Monday before her election and barely lost. So, it would take a final national poll lead of 10% to provide any comfort.

@@youtubename7819 Buddy, you have not looked at the voter margins in the swing states. Also, the EC margins were not historical, they were just good.
      Biden won AZ by 10,457, .4%; GA by 11,779, .3%, MI by 154,188, 2.8%, NV by 33,596, 2.4%, PA by 81,660, 1.2%, and WI by 20,682, .6%.
So, if Biden lost AZ, GA and WI, which were decided by just 42,918 votes, or 4.3% on average, he is tied with Trump. The election rolls over to a House delegation (not member) vote which was majority Republican, 25-23-2. So, if the 25 delegations which were majority GOP voted Trump, which they would have done, Trump would have won the election. Therefore, the 2020 election was decided by less than 43,000 voters across just 3 states.
      Yes. I call that close.

i could not have said it better. I've read what FIVE books from Trump WH staffers. He wakes up. Watches what people are arguing about on morning TV. Makes phone calls talking to people who are not actually in the government to bounce things off of. Refuses to actually listen to anyone who is advising him - instead turns it into a conversation about himself. He doesnt read anything that is not in the form of a review of how he is doing. He is careless with top secret information all the time. He invites absolutely crazy people into the WH to meet with him. My favorite. He will call the WH communications office to make an announcement about some kind of initiative or proposal that he's never discussed with anyone before - then the part of the govt responsible for that works 24 hrs a day to come up with drafted legislation, a coherent policy to post on the website, a communications strategy for social media, etc. a week later, he denies he said anything like that and throws all those people under the bus.

Usually, when the economy doesn’t feel good to most people, the incumbent party gets voted out. If the Republicans were running Mitt Romney, they’d be winning comfortably now. The reason why the GOP ain’t winning right now, is because Trump is at the top of the ticket. So no, Trump isn’t popular and is the reason why the race is close when it should not be. The GOP candidate should be winning comfortably

Two big issues have happened since the last election that normies, like myself, have taken note of: the storming of the capital on January 6th and anti-abortion.These are associated with Trump and one of these issues alone would bring out normies to vote against him.
Whatever the polls are showing, I can guarantee you that Harris is much higher. I'm the type of normie that candidates either have to be very scared of or very happy. Harris is winning by a landslide.

Bucks County resident here! I’ve noticed the same thing. There are some identical HUGE Trump signs on many major thoroughfares here. My husband believes they were funded and installed by an organization. I suspect Jim Worthington (a Republican bigwig) is the master puppeteer. I’m really hoping we good, level headed people will outnumber them.

Yeah whenever people mention getting rid of the electoral college, someone always chimes in with “but swing state governors and senators would never agree to that!”
And I know that person has never lived in a swing state.
Swing staters are the first to want to end this madness.
