- As the new TS drivers near completion, the team reaches its first “now-or-never” moment. If it passes the test, there are aggressive plans to launch it on the horizon. Not even narrow fairways, punitive rough and high stakes can keep the Titleist Speed Project from rolling.

I have been a long time Titleist loyalist. One of the most memorable days of golf that I have had was the first time I was able to afford a box of Titleist balata 90's. The first approach shot that bounced twice and stopped was magical. Titleist blades begat AP1's begat my current irons set 916 CB's. Currently playing the TS2 driver, 5 wood and hybrid. Incredible. Vokey SM8 wedges and a Scotty Phantom 5.5 complete the set. Nothing will make be consider another brand. Period !
I’ve been playing the game for roughly 11 years with a few sporadic hiatuses thrown in there. I’ve been a Titleist loyalist for the duration. Never has “speed” been a determining factor for which company I personally like. I like Titleist because to me it personifies excellence, it’s a gentlemen’s brand. If I want more speed I need to move the club faster, to move the club faster I have to train myself to do so. Anyways, to me Titleist has never been about gimmicks and new models every other month, like some.
Agreed, but with the TSR Titleist has finally conquered the distance/dispersion conundrum. I have been through the 917, TSi journey and my new TSR is in a whole different league. But get it fitted by YOUR OWN pro.
@@minno234 it's maybe 1 yard farther. It's not a whole different league. Maybe you got better since?
True, but also not your job. Those guys need every advantage.
I'm a Callaway guy but still enjoy watching these. Great series 💯
I was too... until I tried Titleist last year. Than I changed every club in my bag.
Cam Smith should be Titleist’s No. 1 tour pro
Too bad he only plays non-competitive exhibitions nowadays
I trust them, I believe in the product, it has excellence all over it - I am a Titleist guy for life
Very cool, very cool
I am a Titleist guy … wow!
Get one. I did and they are an unbelieveable improvement on 917/TSi.
Love titleist.
Thanks, Brett! #TeamTitleist
The TS dropped right when I stopped playing college golf… I was situated with Taylormade deals/school contracts up until that point.
I was getting fit again to make an attempt at the PAT. With the ability to finally go brand agnostic I gave everything a try.
I can confidently say that the first iteration of TS, and more specifically the TS3, were a game changer. (At the time) the feel, responsiveness, and distance absolutely destroyed the competition. To this day I haven’t upgraded to the TSR in fear of losing what I have.
Since then I put Titleist through the bag and haven’t looked back… I do use a Bettinardi though, awkward lol
As titleist player driver wise 👌 👏
Played 915,917d3,ts4 8.5, and now a proud 👏 owner of a tsi3 8° I'M DROOLING 🤤
And 718 ap2, sm8 54° 58° etc.......
We go farther, with more back problems 😅
Problem for us amateurs is that the titleist brand is more geared towards the better player. I played their driver about 10 years ago and never could find a fairway LOL
To keep driving it better, more like Jordan won all his tournaments with a poor driver distance and an exceptional short game! Didn't need anymore distance!
Just switched to the TsR3 from the Stealth (which I absolutely loved). I have gained 4mph ball speed with the same stock swing, and about 7-10 yards in distance. This is my first time playing titleist clubs (I also switched to the T100 from Ping i59), and I can honestly say that I am a better player because of the switch.
Personally I think the number of players jumping to the TS for the US Open in 2018 has a lot do with how bad the 917 was. I love Titleist and play it through the bag but that driver was horrible.
Golfers are so gullible, period!
