The fact that you spelled it Metrocity as opposed to Metro City makes me quite happy.

My favourite one is the levitating moon
My great grandmother used to have that exact drinking bird, I remember it used to sit up on display drinking water from a cup. I used to play with it aswell! This video just sorta unlocked an old memory of mine 😊 thanks
My great grandmother died a few days after thanksgiving from old age, and since my sister was sick I couldn't get to see her before she passed. The last time I ever saw her was last summer when she came with my grandmother. 🕊️Rest with peace.

Minion: Is... Is something wrong, sir?
Megamind: Just think about it. We have it all. Yet, we have nothing. It's just too easy now.

As a fan of the Simpsons, I NEED that drinking bird.
I’m amazed the Drinking Bird is still a thing. They first appeared in my childhood home in the early 70’s, and are still going strong.
As soon as I saw the bird it reminded me of the megamind animation.

Oh my gawd, I had one of those drinking birds when I was a kiddie in the 60's! I haven t seen one in decades!
Bro u like 60 or 50?
So you are 62 years old..?
Yes, in the early 70s 👍 I'd seen them for sale years earlier but didn't have enough pocket money!
I'm 50 and I remember them too but they were invented in 1910... it was the Chinese Drinking Bird.
"Once it's locked in" got me locked on
Its the bird from Megamind (my fav btw)
"Great gifts for science lovers"
Actual science lovers: Boring, going back to my chemistry set
Based. Not the frog tho
Boring yes but also over priced.
Not in my case for the other items. I love watching things in repetitive motion.
I remember having a couple of drinking birds when I was a small child in the '60s... It was my introduction to chemistry... 'coz I was fascinated how I could make the coloured 'water' boil by holding the bottom bulb in my fist... With a diode-based powerless radio ('crystal set') I was obviously always going to be a science nut :) ...
I love... ALL OF THEM!!!
I love the water bird xxxx
My high school physics teacher “LD” had every single one of these
ua-cam.com/video/bYK1X_BnyTM/v-deo.html ✌️
The bird, the levitating moon and led sign are definitely my favorites I can't choose 🤣
Bird boy
I got a exact same sign like that for stem camp but they 3d printed it
All xd
Every kid from the 80s and 90s knew/saw/had these "gifts" from the science store in the mall. They all ended up in garage sales.
I love the levitating moon 😊!
When I was a kid back in the 70s my grandmother had one of the drinking bird.
Pretty cool
We still have the one my grandfather had back in the 50s
When I see that bird my mind will always go back to that Simpson’s episode where Homer’s brother came to visit him and he was so amazed by the self drinking bird. 😂 the older simpsons episodes we’re something else man. It’s not the same ever since they changed to super duper hd episodes but still their no too bad.
I had that bird 50 yrs ago. So glad it is back. It mesmerized everyone for hours
The last one looked like an orb .... Harry Potter vibe❤️
My younger friends do “ toy trading” and one of them has the bird thing and none of us knew what it did until I found this video.
Hi! It's actually supposed to predict the weather. My neighbor had one back in 1970. But I forget how it predicts the weather. Maybe you can Google it.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.
👵🙂✌️☮️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊
The drinking birds were in all my friends' kitchens when I was a very small kid. I wanted one so much, but my mom said it was just a fad and that the liquid was deadly mercury, so she didn't want to risk it breaking and poisoning my brother.
Mercury is opaque (not transparent), which rules that out, but it probably contained something like ethanol instead.
@@turtlemine4613 I was four, I didn't know.
@@bijou3000 Yeah, I figured you were younger, but just in case you still thought it was mercury!
I want the frog thing so I can tell my friends “pet him!” And then they try and he’s not there
Le bird is cool
We had one of those drinking bird things when I was growing up. The water doesn't do squat it works because of the room temperature. I never used water with the one we had. I think there is Mercury in it that makes the liquid move, At least that is what my mom told me years ago.
I still have mine from years ago! I was told it had mercury in it too but really it can contain: ether, alcohol, methylene chloride or carbon tetrachloride. Mercury is opaque not transparent
It's not Mercury it's ethanol which is basically alcohol having low boiling point
I had the drinking bird.. and I must say it fascinated me as a kid . I loved it ! ❤️
THE MOON ✨
That drinking bird been around longer than you have.
I can't express how long I've been wanting one of those birds. I've seen them everywhere but have never been able to get one
They show up when you least expect it and have zero money and no legal way of obtaining. Pretty sure it's evil or one of those Needful Things
the bird one is completly oldschool, you know this from tv shows back before 2010 already lol
I prefer n liked ❤ third one
Omg, i havent seen one of those birds in decades. My grandma had one.❤

The lamp is so Cool🥺😊
My favorite teacher ever had the mirror one, he kept a little plastic piggy in there.
Love you Mr.Bromley :)
I love the water drinking bird, it has a special place in my heart. It was a topic on a competitive examination for engineer schools. You have heat transfert, evaporation and liquefaction but as the vapour/liquid move up/down it create torques and therefore you you study the mechanical movement. So this bird combines thermodynamics and mechanics :D It is also qualify as an thermodynamic engine.
megamind
All of them ...but the last one great !
i like bird
I love the floating moon so much. I want one. I'm afraid of the dark (yes I'm an adult and afraid of the dark don't @ me) so it'd be a cute night light. It helps that I love space too.
The drinking bird has been around for a VERY long time. I had one when I was a little girl and I'm in my 50s.
Dang
I like the LED sign.
Am I the only one judging whether these were fake or not until they realised it isn't one fake, two real?

I remember the duck drinking water thing was actually in the megamined DreamWorks movie
My favorite was the drinking bird because it was in “Ted Lasso”
The 3rd and 5th ones seem so interesting to me 🌕!
The "dipping bird" was shown in the movie, "Alien".
Also, I like that steel ball device that just keeps falling thru the funnel and then using a brachistochrone track to throw it back into the funnel it NEVER stops!!!
If you make the funnel and track out of HDMW plastic, it will never wear out.
Ofc the turboflex moon light
