NF can take you on a journey either you have been on something similar or go on he's own personal journey to get a insight of who Nate is, I'm so glad I found him when I did as he made me love rap again and I found a rapper who I can relate on a personal emotional level
I'm majoring in psych, and I totally agree with your take on social media with people displaying their personal insecurities and or mental issues, and demanding validation. I feel like this new wave of psych forgets that the point of therapy is not to validate your distortions, it is rather to help you clarify an issue, to FIX your distortion! I do not understand how we have developed into this thought process of forcing external validation for a clear mental issue, it is actually so wild to me lol.
Yes!!! Yes to what you just said. And well said too. The point of therapy and the beauty of psychology is so we can grow and heal, remembering who we are, not receiving delusional validation for the things we try to be as we run from doing the actual hard work
Hi Rosalie. I'm subscribed for sometime and i really appreciate the way you are genuine and how you respect the artists and the music. NF is a different world of music. In hip Hop epic cinematic beats and lyrics with meaning without using words which hurt our ears, NF is unique. A really true and pure artist which delivers all. I think he's just gotten progressively better with each album. This is just the start of his career. He's figured out the craft along the journey. I'm excited for you to react to songs from Perception and The Search. Easter Egg: Like he references in the song, he's using the exact same flow that he rapped with in intro 1
I think it is the same beat as Intro 1, only reversed or something. And all of the Intros have similar characteristics, no chorus, hard beat drops, fast raps, cinematic beats. NF has said that The Search and Clouds are the Intros for those albums, but he no longer is going to call them Intros, but if you notice they all have the same characteristics as all the Intros. Very deep and layered ways NF builds tie-ins all across his discography. Very dope.

It's definitely similar tho; maybe the beat is reversed and set down in the mix with drums, different choir sounds, and other things set on top of the mix, I dunno. Yeah the first two intros have many similarities. Intro 3 is more of a start out calm and then build up song, and in my opinion the deepest of the three. The Search and Clouds have that same kind of build up format as well. I've heard NF in an interview, when asked about why he didn't have intros in the search and clouds, he said it was kind of a form of progression for his work, like now he no longer needed or wanted to put in intros in his future albums. But you are right, the search and clouds definitely seem like intro songs to there respective albums. He is so creative, always referring back to past references in his masterpiece of a discography. All the albums together almost tell a story. It makes him look like a genius. I can't wait until he drops again, proly early next year.

When you listen to "Hate Myself" on The Search album, listen to the Interlude right before that song, it leads into it and talks about what you referenced. Him getting to a level of fame and thinking he'd be content, and it not happening. The exact thing you mentioned, but the Interlude into Hate Myself touches on that big time.
I do appreciate the perspective you brought our with this reaction. I have heard and watched several but this was unique. I really appreciated the focus on mental illness. 1st let me say I'm loving your show. I appreciate you being vulnerable with us. I saw you 1st talking about ren. I saw you are going on a NF journey. He has been my favorite for a long time. I feel this music and his lyrics. I am 51 and have been through this life living like a savage trying to survive most of it. I don't like haters but have had them my whole life. Here, as someone who teaches DBT but also dabbles in art therapy whilst having my own personality disorder with high OCD. Intro II is my fave of the three and since you already jumped ahead and already did Intro III, i can share my symbology breakdown for you. Good call on renembering IntroII shovel ending.. heres a breakdown ive got rewritten.. i will take out all references to songs you hhavent heard yet bc he foreshadows a ton. I’m going to skip the obvious ones you caught.. one thing i noticed you didnt mention, but Ive heard many others make a point to criticize.. almost like a “gotcha” moment.. i often hear is how the much the music at the start drowns his intro lines out.. you didnt notice, which ❤️, but the cool part is its SUPPOSED to give that effect, which i’ll explain in a bit. . This intro is very identical to Intro I in terms of arrangement “this flows familiar, i think ive heard it before, oh yeah, i made it myself”.. the obvious difference however is the anger.. aggression... hmm perhaps this is one of the songs Fear mentioned in Intro III, where he was the one holding the mic, the “villain” of his story.. which makes a ton of sense given a second look.. i think this song is jam packed with easter eggs.. most are my own observations bc ive noticed Nate does not like to give away his punchlines. So when he does.. i get suspicious. Theres never a simple NF song. So i go into lunatic mode and dissect.. so here we go.. The very obvious part is anytime the cam pans over his face, he almost looks demonic. Hes either not moving a muscle with his hat and hoodie throwing a creepy shade over his eyes.. or hes going into thrash mode like a possessed man. Also notice how much is actually shot through mirrors in a way to keep it nearly impossible to tell. Some more of my take on the subtler ones that, in my mind, makes sense. Or im just crazy. I dont know. Or both. “i hear you got beats but wheres the lyrics at”.. he punches through the mirror with both of his fists (Mansion.. “i punch through the walls with both of my fists til they bleed”).. then “only person i judge is the one in the mirror, and lately, he aint doing well, i dont need ya’ll in my ear”.. this could be aimed at the outside world.. or, more fittingly, his own head, bc he and fear share the same body/same reflection, so that could be Nate screaming at Fears voice being the one in the mirror.. in his ear making his health decline.. battling over the mic.. resulting in lashing out in his own mansion/mind trying to literally tear it down.. then the infamous Nate chair kick, going into his famous hard 3rd verse, except here, the anger is just penetrating the mansion.. well, why does that happen? Bc musics where he goes when he needs to get something off his chest.. theres also a part im personally not AS sure abt bc im a dork and actually screen shot the part where he says “take out a picture of *US* & i’ll stare at it. Who am I kidding? *YOU* probably aint’t hearing this. Show me an artist you want to compare me with...” all this is him screaming at his reflection, but soon as he says show me an artist.. the camera pans over a distorted looking NF logo, which i have this theory was maybe mirrored, bc an earlier shot shows him in the mirror writing “how could you leave us”... but i screenshot it and just cant figure it out... but the line right after is awfully suspicious.. “you put us both on a stage and ima bury ‘em. Give me the shovel, its about to get scarier....” which.. Intro III, right?? “Satan (Fear) keeps calling me, he trying to flirt...... these are more than just words”... which i feel is affirming this is a real battle hes having at the moment. The way the music just keeps building and building to an almost chaotic sound level, is a bit of a call FORWARD to an amazing song you havent heard yet, “Returns”.. where he shares the line “my expertise are melodies, they speak to me when I’m hurt”.. i know hes said that line many diff ways, but i think in “Returns”.. he says it in a very calm moment where its easier to trust its Nate. And i believe this is also why theres that “overwhelming music drowning out Nate” soon as he lets loose. Bc hes not doing well, and the rapping jumps right in the middle of his “melodies” that speak to him when hurt.. So for this to be an Intro ending with “i dont want to be late for my therapy session”.. makes the song have a heavier punch after the mini horror story we just watched Nate physically go through fighting possibly, Fear, nearly screaming over the loud orchestra thats trying to “sing to him” but failing bc Fear sounds way too aggressive and even threatening, “its about to get scarier”.. so its cool how in intro 1, its Just Nate.. Intro II.. we assume its Nate, but after hearing Fear take over most of Intro III, dropping some of the behind the scenes of how often he held the mic with Nate, and most importantly “is it me or the fear talking, what a dumb q”.. i think yes, its the r/whoosh answer to what Intro III is saying.. but it doesnt often occur to many (besides many in the #NFArmy who knows these songs inside out) that Fear just dropped a major Easter Egg of “what other songs was he holding the mic for??”.. and this one has to be one, atleast a fight, ESP bc its right before going into his Therapy Session to vent. Its a masterpiece part of the Intro Trilogy that, i feel, has so many layers both pre/foreshadowed in it. 🧚🏻♀️🗝 #NFRealMusic I hope you got some cool harder to spot little easter eggs.
