Old or new, Within Temptation deliver. They are different to most other bands in that their style/genre is not set. They can surprise you with how different, yet brilliant the music is. They have a song for every mood. New and old fans can benefit from any album and there isn't a lot of bands that can do that.
Ive never understood why they didnt put this song last in the album, then it would finish with a breathtaking fast song that leaves your heart pumping instead of a slow(but beautiful) song.
I really don't understand why songs like we can't stop get so much credit and these great bands like Within Temptation don't. I mean this is just amazing.

I absolutely agree with the idea of not liking something, but for fuck sake, show a little respect. The Unforgiving was a terrific album (and better, IMHO) and while Hydra is completely different, at least be a little respectful of the effort.
9600GTMAN The Unforgiving is a thousand times better than Hydra. In fact I loved all of their albums except Hydra. The only good songs on Hydra in my opinion are And We Run, Dog Days, Edge of the Word, Whole World is Watching, and Paradise. The others are okay. (:

Like Stairway to the Skies, Lost, Fire & Ice, and Shot In The Dark. But I still loved it the same in my own way. I was really into Iron, Faster, and Sinéad at some point too. But the other four are still incredible to me. I like how all their albums are different. But Hydra was just bland in my opinion except the songs I mentioned in my other comment. The Unforgiving is the same in a way but it's still more powerful. Hydra seemed forced, like they had to do like four collaborations to survive this time. It was just boring and uncreative to me compared to the other five. But hey, to each their own. :D
