So I've just watched the Faces cover of this (which I love) in comparison but - holy God - McCartney's voice.... I know and have met so many people who criticize him, and I just don't understand it. One of the greatest voices of all time x
I did the U.S. part of this tour with Paul and the group for 19 weeks. It was some of the best times of my life....................I think of you and Linda often my ol' friend.
One of the highlights of my life was seeing Paul McCartney and Wings in Kansas City in 1976. I'm 62 now, and this performance still gives me great joy.
I remember when she died and it really made breast cancer hit home. Because you know they threw as money as they could and still didn't make a difference.
I WAS 17 YEARS OLD WHEN I SAW THIS CONCERT LIVE AND THE SEATTLE kINGDOME, WHAT AN AMAZING CONCERT AND MEMORY..WOW.. SO MANY YEARS AGO..JUST GOT TICKETS FOR MY 15 YEAR OLD SON AND I TO SEE MCARTNEY'S SEATTLE SHOW IN APRIL 2016... ANOTHER GENERATON..ANOTHER LIFELONG MEMORY..
Great music, is great music, and transcends everything, culture, taste, and demographic lines, I'm a guy that grew up in the "hood", in America, and a guy from the "hood" in England, reached me, just like with millions of others around the world, this is fantastic;) and such a great live performance (no enhanced studio garbage here). Always makes me think of the great women, I have encountered in my life. Sometimes you just don't have the words, so you play a song. Thank you Paul and Wings.
I was born in 1940 had a son born in 69 we had wings 8 tracts in the car, one car trip this son asked me "mom, did you know Paul McCartney was with another band before Wings?
what amazes me is how he still has the same passion today as he has had all his life ..incredibly unique ..the most PROFESSIONAL musician in all of history...............PERIOD
Yes, "incredibly unique" this guy, in so many respects. For me, too, he is the greatest musician ever. And how I wish, he lived up to 100 and more - and medical science would provide him with his voice of 1976 again. All the "rest" he still disposes of: the "passion", the abilities to do so many instruments, to entertain and get even teens to love him like many years from now, to compose wonderfull music in all kinds of genres and be open for all that comes up and play with it. He's getting better all the time. Thanks to the teachers who told him...
Paul is the ONLY GUY ON EARTH who's able to touch the deepest of your feelings with a love song... He's the amazing one when writing such treasures as that one.
I completely agree dude! I'm 53 and still remember cruising around in my Uncles Shelby 500 at 4-5 yrs old listening to 'Get Back' on his radio! This song reminds me of being stationed in Bamberg Germany Army post in 1976. The 'Wings over America' live version is what charted on Casey Kasems 'top 40'. On Sundays, football and the top 40 were the only things to look forward to - NOTHING was open on Sundays... so all of my friends and my brothers would sit with our radio /tape recorders and tape the hits we liked the best!!! Very fun times in my life as a kid....
Paul McCartney could do it all. Great singer, great instrumentalist, great performer, and great GREAT songwriter. The singing alone in this song is beyond almost anyone else. Zero weaknesses in his game....sheesh...it's not fair.
I get goosebumps every single time I watch the part where he sings "baby im amazed at the way you help me sing my song" and looks over at Linda and smiles. Truely one of the most passionate, dedicated musicians to have ever lived.
Maybe I'm amazed that nobody can hear it's you Billy (Faul)...not Paul (RIP) who died in 1965. Jesus, how I miss his tenor voice & very special way of singing this one. Such a loss...oh such a loss.
Going to see Paul tonight!! So excited. Getting my DRINK on first. lol. I have waited 25 years to see Paul McCartney. Tonight at Wells Fargo Center in PHILLY!
I keep coming back to McCartney for good songs and "Maybe I'm Amazed" is at the top of the list. He's fantastic. HapoSpoke, I think you must mean he CAN do it all! "I Want to Come Home" made me cry like a baby the first dozen times I heard it. ALWAYS anxious to hear what he comes up with next. The only singer/songwriter who can top McCartney IS McCartney!
Out of the literally hundreds of guitar solos I've heard over the course of my lifetime, THIS one stands alone as the most beautiful EVER. In fact, it's so gorgeous, McCartney puts it in the song TWICE! And the singular note bend sustain at 4:10 is possibly the best moment of highlighting an electric guitar's allure ever heard. This solo just gushes emotion. Listening to this can tear any chick's heart out.
This 1976 live version in Seattle has become the time immortal classic version of this song. It's the version I always think of when hearing this song.
This guy has been performing since the 1960's.. 50 years of touring and performing and still going strong.. I hope that i could watch Paul live before he calls it quits.
this is my favorite song in the whole wide world!!!!!! his voice is absolutly beautiful and i dont think there is anyone who could possibly be better looking
I saw Sir Paul perform in Hershey PA July 2016 and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life! I grew up listening to his music and having the opportunity to see him perform live was a very magical and special experience that I will always cherish. thank you Sir Paul for composing such amazing music!!
I Love Paul and his great musical talents, Maybe, no I AM, amazed at his incrdeible musical longevity&creativity these past many decades Thank you Sir Paul. Thnx for upload, too
I LOVE reading comments like yours. That was truly the greatest decade that rock ever knew. And Paul was one of those AMAZING performers of that time. Good for you, being so young and realizing there is more to rock and roll than what is on the soundtracks to new movies and tv commercials!
Magnificent performer, Paul is the best, great music & memories of life, top of the line solid gold standard of excellence, phenomenal career in music & business for over 50 years, beautiful lyrics that touch your heart, great tribute to his beautiful & talented wife, Linda
First head this in 1975 after my first concert which was KISS.. at a stop light in Columbia SC. Saw Sir Paul Mc Cartney and Wings in 1992... When his beloved Kinda was in the band.. blessed.
I love that paul mccartney and Wings make such improvements to the music and lyrics. I am amazed that Paul McCartney and Linda did so well! amazing job indeed! Congratulations... love from Justin...
I sang this song to my boyfriend. Who came back into my life after 37 years. I am truly amazed that our love is stronger the ever. That he still loves me after all these years.
Nossa! o cara é demais, a composição é demais, a letra, a música, as interpretações, enfim, McCartney e Wings arrebentaram - muito amor, muita emoção, um momento super feliz, aliás uma vida feliz viveram Paul e Linda. Parabéns...
This should be enough to get Paul into heaven. I mean, he did a lot of other great stuff but Maybe I'm Amazed is enough all by itself unless God has a tin ear. Of all the great songwriters, Paul started from love and screamed out love and testified love with every song. There's no chance for anyone to have missed it. And he played a majorly good bass when he wasn't playing piano or drums.
Paul: eres increible, despues de casi 35 años sigues cantando excelentemente bien esta super canción. Dios te bendiga y guarde, warm greetings from Peru ROsa
Paul had the most skilled voice of the four lads, and this song only shows it. His versatility stuns me to bits, and reminds me every time why this man was, and still is, my favorite. Long live Sir James Paul McCartney.
The backing vocals on this, makes this version the very best one. Incredible musicianship, all around. I miss the old Wings. Thank God we have videos, records, cd's tapes, etc.
Imagine is a wonderful composition + I know it makes a lot of people emotional BUT for REAL GOOSEBUMP-RAISING this song raises the bumps to the size of welts
THANK YOU NUM1BEATLESFAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of my ALL-TIME FAVE SONGS and to see it live, rather than over photos, is ROCKIN' MY frust'd little WORLD RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! - most grateful, Hil
This song is one of my favourite songs by Paul McCartney. It was the B side of his 1st solo single Another Day shortly after the Beatles split. Still sounds great today.
sometimes I feel as if us mere mortals cannot fully grasp the enormity of his talent. The voice, the musicality, the showmanship, the passion to perform, its too much to comprehend.
So I've just watched the Faces cover of this (which I love) in comparison but - holy God - McCartney's voice.... I know and have met so many people who criticize him, and I just don't understand it. One of the greatest voices of all time x
His voice was fantastic for Decades, John and him had the most brilliant voices.. but you can’t keep something forever.. his voice is pretty gone now
I agree, I always preferred him over John. But they were both brilliant in their own way. And separately, they were even more brilliant.
I like the cover by the faces better
@@MrBrungers R.I.P John -_-
HIS VOICE IS BLOODY AMAZING
Lol
I did the U.S. part of this tour with Paul and the group for 19 weeks. It was some of the best times of my life....................I think of you and Linda often my ol' friend.
this is arguably one of the most rawest and authentic love songs,,not only in Rock but ever!!
One of the highlights of my life was seeing Paul McCartney and Wings in Kansas City in 1976. I'm 62 now, and this performance still gives me great joy.
Paul McCartney is the most legendary living musician on planet Earth on this, August 5th, 2016...
The BEST!
Yes he is.
Best musician in human history...
+SeanAllenCanan I cannot agree with you more i was once willing to give up my life savings to see him perform for 5 minutes
seeing him next sat in shreveport la cant wait!!!
update: he still is
What a beautiful LOVE song. What a great love between Paul and Linda.
I'm sure he's thinking of Linda as he's banging the countless girls since her death.....
Did he really bang girls then? Do you have photos or just making an assumption based on what you would do?
I remember when she died and it really made breast cancer hit home. Because you know they threw as money as they could and still didn't make a difference.
This song makes me want to cry. Thank you God for giving us Paul McCartney & of course the other dear beloved Beatles. ❤

I get to see him on July 25th!!!! I'm excited! Even though I'm sure he will still be amazing, this concert seems hard to beat!

Legendary musician
He wrote it with Linda in mind - one of the greatest rock love songs by my favorite musician of all time!
Susie196921 He said this song was about Stella, his daughter!!
Jacque Vino couldn't be, it's on 'McCartney' she wasn't born
Helen Stockwell maybe he was amazed because he knew what was about to come and make Linda pregnant?
Marcdoubleu22LFC liked rods take on or
no he didn`t write this the faces did...
Paul is the ONLY GUY ON EARTH who's able to touch the deepest of your feelings with a love song... He's the amazing one when writing such treasures as that one.
This is so special. Seeing him sing the song he wrote for the woman he loved, with the woman he loved .... nice.
Thank you, Akira.
The fuckin solos in this song blow me away. They're simple but just so badass
I love the very last couple of notes in particular!
Travis White and Paul wrote the guitar solos TOO...
...and played them himself on McCartney!
