As much as people love to hate on Noctis, those animations of his look crispy AF in slow motion. Definitely one of the better animated characters in the series, IMO.
Players hate on him but let's see them do these combos eh

something i'd like to share: for the db1+2 launcher i like to do a different combo that gets me around 74 damage and will not change sides with the opponent (sometimes it leaves you too close to the wall, and noctis doesn't deal well with that kind of pressure)
this is the combo: db+12, uf3~u, 2, 2, 2 S!, dash (when needed) b4,1+2
the only thing is that you have to kind of at close range, if you are from a bit far i do db+12, df1+2 S!, uf3~u, 2, 2, 2... i find execution to be soooo easier than the jab micro dashes and the opponent doesn't need to be alligned to you for the combo ender to work properly
i love noc's combo because for me it's easier to do than any other characters . thanks

@@yummyyummy2091 easy combos but tough to play... You don't have tools as good as Dragunov, Zafina, Leroy, Bryan etc.

Noctis is a really easy character until your opponents get close to you or pressure you if you get to a wall you're dead with noctis almost for sure if you don't know how to get out
From a distance tho he's really good

@@yummyyummy2091 yeah... From range he's one of the best... He's all about movement and counter with ff1+2 or b u 1. Also whiff punish with fd2.

But noctis is really good online you can get to tekken fujin without knowing all of his moves
When he came out I think people came really far by just using db1+2 and fd1+2 that gave you a really good amount of damage for an easy combo and let's be honest it's still really good tools and he is a little overpowered with some moves online I think we can't deny that

@@thejoekage9499 button buffering in tekken is a term used for something different than traditional 2d fighting games. buffering in tekken usually refers to holding a button down so that you can get a 2 button input with only pressing 1 button. but i do know what you mean, just saying it might cause confusion if you go looking for information on it. tekken doesnt let you buffer much at all. theres only a handful of moves and inputs where you can do the input while fully in animation stun. what tekken does have is negative edge for its directional inputs. so you can cut a frame of input off for ff moves my releasing the first forward on the exact frame that you leave animation stun. im not exactly sure if thats what you are saying youre having trouble with, but thats the detailed explanation on how buffering works in tekken. if you mean, how long can you press ff and then hold the last forward and still get the ff4 input, it is generally the same number of frames for all moves, with some slight exceptions. for most moves its until the character begins the run animation, so you can take the full deep dash from the ff and then hold the f and hit the 4 and get ff4 still, but once they start to run after that you missed the window.

I'm becoming rather partial to WR1+2, WS3, 1, uf3U 2,2,2,2 db1,1+2 as my bread and butter. You can use the WS3, 1 to pickup for extra damage sometimes too if you can time it right.

I'm brand new to Tekken, could someone briefly explain to me what all of the "2, 2, B2" or "1+2" stuff even means at all or where I can go to figure it out? I'm playing on PC with a PS4 controller.
